The free water in the water dispenser in our room tasted a bit old and we had to wear a shower cap if we wanted to shower without washing our hair — but these weren’t really issues for us.

The first thing we noticed about our room was just how clean it was—the floor was shining! The view was beautiful and the staff were extremely helpful, accommodating and polite, and even went out of their way to surprise my mom with a birthday cake on her birthday!

Nothing really! Maybe one thing to improve is that it would be nice to have an additional shelf in the shower for my own products.

I spent 6 nights here as a solo female traveller and it was the perfect stay. The staff were extremely hospitable, always greeting me by name. Breakfast is chosen from a set menu and gets delivered and set up for you every morning. The view from my room was beautiful and I loved having breakfast on the balcony every morning. The property is 1-2 streets away from the more “walkable” part of central Ubud. I used a grab bike to get most places in the town but you could walk if you wanted, the sidewalks are just inconsistent around that street. The room was clean, albeit felt a little damp at times(possibly because of the rain). One of the things that I really loved was that there was a water cooler in the room! It was soo convenient to use for brushing my teeth and refilling my water bottles without having to go out and buy water bottles. More stays need to have that!

Can’t think of anything!

This hotel is beautiful and peaceful. Close enough to the centre of Ubud for easy access but still quiet and out of the way of the hustle and bustle. The breakfast was delicious and lovely to have on the balcony each morning. We really appreciated the daily cleaning of the room and small details like having a large tank of drinking water in the bedroom free of charge. Overall the value for money is great. The staff were amazing, Widiana was our main contact and he was great and so helpful throughout our stay. Would highly recommend!

Only small negative comment is the shower and toilet needs updating/cleaning up the corner stains. The sink is also very small.

We had a beautiful view from the balcony. The bed was super comfortable. The service from the entire team was super friendly and always helpful. They even arranged our bed with flowers with a cute birthday message for my partner. Beautiful pool and garden.

Property was in a perfect location in Ubud, close enough to the main roads and easy to travel around. The water cooler in the room was also great to have to fill up our bottles before and after a long day. The aircon definitely kept us cool at night which I was very grateful for! The view from the balcony was stunning, and we enjoyed eating our delicious breakfast every morning outside.

Sanubari is even more beautiful in person than the photos. The location is great, in a walking distance from local restaurants and shops. The staff was amazing, willing to help and make you feel comfortable. The breakfast was served in our room and the quality was very good!

Breakfast was on time and served neatly. Staff were very kind to change my breakfast selection in the morning. The room was excellent and had a great view. I felt comfortable to stay there as a single traveller. Staff were very friendly and they were ready to help with my requests. I used the laundry service and it was excellent. They even helped me to book a ride for the day.

The location is right next to a busy road which wasn't an issue when in the hotel (we couldn't hear it) but for getting around we liked to walk and the road could be quite stressful!

Lovely hotel, the staff are so nice and super attentive. Breakfast is served on your terrace every morning which was a really lovely experience. Loved lazing about by the pool which is beautiful as well.

The bathroom light was a little dim and the lighting down the stairs to Reception could have been brighter. Torches were available in our rooms.

The staff were extremely helpful and kind. In particular Widana, February, Kana and Yovi. They went out of their way to make our stay easy and restful. The swimming pool area was beautiful and exceptionally clean. We would definitely recommend this hotel as the service was so amazing.

The property was clean and location was amazing. staff couldn’t do enough for you, helpful and 24/7 WhatsApp service. I felt a little ill and they supported me bringing ginger tea - even between 4-5am. we loved our stay and loved walking around this area of Ubud.

In the immediate area the street is very busy and not much of a sidewalk, but it’s just about five minutes on foot to the area of Ubud where the more walkable part begins. Even though it’s nicely set back from the street and there’s just greenery and birds in front of the balcony, traffic noise from the motorcycles was intense some of the five nights I stayed, possibly because of the weekend.

Great bed, tasty breakfast, excellent and very attentive staff. A short walk to the more central area of Ubud. Very green surroundings and next door to an amazing art museum and garden.
