Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IndonesiaOn booking.com the hotel says all rooms have a city view. Our room did not look outside at all. It was a cement walkway to no where.
I though the lobby was nice, all the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was wonderful with lots of seating. The room was exactly what you expect for a hotel room.

GermanyOn arrival I received a room in the 5 floor. The AC fan was making loud noises which lead to me receiving a different room. This room (350) was at the end of the hotel. On the way I could already see death insects on the hall way floor. These remained there for all my stay which shows that the floor is not being daily cleaned. In the new room the AC turned off every 30 min - 1h. I reported this but they could not get this fixed. The bathroom fan was also less active and this lead to all rooms being hot and having high humidity. On my first night I got bit by bed bugs in which I managed to find two of these insects. Around 22:00 o‘clock a „deep bass“ sounding noise starts all the way into the night. This makes sleeping without ear protection very hard. This noise might be coming from the arena which is located in this building.
