Villa Samalas is about a 20–25 minute walk from the harbor. After a two-hour boat ride and arriving under the midday sun with heavy backpacks, it would have been greatly appreciated if someone from the property could have met us to assist. Additionally, there were not enough sunbeds on the beach to accommodate all guests.

Very good breakfast, staff was very friendly, the room clean with ac, common spaces quiet and cozy. I would definitely come back.

Clean, private, spacious villa, and the most friendliest staff who are quick to arrange anything for you. The beach is 2 mins walk away and Villa Samalas provide beach loungers under shady trees and umbrellas. Also on the beach right next to the loungers, is a great Warung where we ate lunch and sometimes dinner at sunset.

Friendly staff, who can organise everything you need: snorkelling straight from the beach, quick turnaround laundry, bikes to cycle to the turtle sanctuary, and even a boat to take you to another island, direct from the beach that is only 100m away. All at a fair price. Clean bright surroundings, private garden, good air con, comfortable bed, warm freshwater showers. And the absolutely brilliant Akisha Warung is directly opposite the hotel. Don't miss that. We loved this place.

It might be time for the owner to splurge for some maintenance. The hot water in our cottage gave out after two minutes of use, so we moved to another cabin. But the air conditioning there was pretty much dead, so we moved back to the original one. These things can be fixed easily enough.

We've stayed here a few times, and have always enjoyed it. The property is small and quiet, and located just two minutes walk from the beach. There is a decent local restaurant across the street, and a few more options a little bit further away. Staff are very friendly.

We chose this villa because of its proximity to the beach, and its unmatched privacy made it even more special. The entire island is peaceful and quiet, creating the perfect setting for relaxation. The food at the restaurant was delicious, adding to the overall experience. The staff were incredibly helpful, with a special shoutout to Ali. He truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. Not only did he arrange mosquito repellent for us, but he also arranged for us a snorkelling trip, which was a fantastic experience. Ali even organized a private boat trip to go the nearby island. Overall, it was an amazing experience!

In my opinion the activities offered (e.g. snorkelling trip) were overpriced and you can easily find cheaper options on the island. The restaurant did not impress us and we triend one right across the road - Akisha Warung - definitely recommend!

It is big, clean villa in very quiet location. Perfect for relaxing and being comfortable. The best snorkelling/freediving point is only 1 minute walk. It is an amazing place! I would definitely come back.

There is very little water pressure and a limited water supply, this is not the hotels fault at all but rather because of the island location and they explain this is in a very friendly manner upon arrival.

The lovely gents who man reception were so kind, helpful and welcoming and made us feel so at home. They even took the time with our children and were so patient and attentive. The villas are in an excellent location, just moments from the beautiful white beach. Lovely breakfast with freshly made fruit juices. We organised via the hotel the most amazing excursion snorking to see the marine life, corals and turtles, such an incredible day and a very reasonable price - Would definietly recommend 100%!

The location is perfect, only 100 meters from the sea, with the staff providing for sun beds on the beach. The bungalows are clean and spacious, very private. Airconditioning working perfectly. The breakfast was good. The staff was very helpful in providing support for any request, they organised snorkelling trip and helped us carry the luggage to another beach which was more accessible for transfer to get to.

Unbelievable position on gili meno. Little to no wind when windy elsewhere, the right amount of sand to coral compared to rest of island and the most unreal turtle sightings right here ! The chalets thought of everything! Even the small things - Bottle opener, beach towel, laundry rack, outdoor foot tap .really friendly and helpful staff

The sliding door to the room was quite difficult to open.

We loved our stay here! The staff are incredibly hospitable, the included breakfast is delicious and has good options, the orange juice is *just what you need* on a hot day, the beach is just around the corner and the resort had beach chairs you can use here, the turtle beach is a few minutes walk away, lots of nice food and drink places nearby. We walked from the port cause it wasn't that far, but we took a horsey back. The shower was salt water for the first few days, but we were pre warned, and fresh water arrived after a couple of days, which they kept us updated on.

Property was located on a quiet street in Gili Meno, just a short walk away from the beach. The staff were amazing, they assisted in taken cushions for the day beds to the beach for us. They were super helpful and friendly and organised a private snorkelling trip for us. Cooked us amazing scrambled eggs breakfast! Can’t commend the staff enough. The room was spacious with a spacious bathroom. We had a lovely stay at Villa Samalas.

Not a property issue but the island had no fresh water when we stayed, so getting a hot shower was hard. This is normally not an issue I believe.

Wonderful private rooms, each with their own secluded garden for complete privacy. The real highlight of our stay were the staff - they were always present with a smile and keen to chat about your plans for the day and provide recommendations as needed. We will definitely stay again should we come back to Gili Meno. Thanks to Ali, Opin and Iwan. The breakfast was simple but delicious and more than enough. The rooms were very clean, comfortable bed and great shower and very quiet throughout the night. One of our best stays while in Indonesia.

Nothing really. Only thing you should be aware of is that you can't really shade the room from the morning sun. It will be somewhat bright even if you use the indoor curtains and outdoor shades, but that was not a problem for us.

Villa Samalas exceeded our expectations. The location is amazing, the little bungalows are spacious and well equipped, and the location very close to the beach couldn't be better. Moreover, the personal is extremely friendly and we felt that they tried everything to make our stay great. There were two things that I was a bit worried about reading about them in other reviews: breakfast and internet. However, both turned out to be great. Internet was working perfectly well while we were there. Also, we really liked the included breakfast. Yes, you get exactly one juice, one hot beverage, one dish and fruits, but we always felt that it was more than enough and it was delicious.

Amazing place! With only 4 walled for privacy villas, we had great place to stay and recharge for 5 days... Designer rooms, great bed, plenty of place to pack, good wifi, minifridge and complementary water. Own, very private garden and patio. Great breakfast options. Friendly staff. In a few steps from the shore with designated sunbeds and matrasses. All excursions and trips can be booked at reception. (I found worth to get a horse cart to get from the port to the Villa as it is a 20 min walk possibly with your luggage in 30+ degrees) I hope to go back to spend more time in this oasis :)
