Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We had a wonderful stay at Sahadewa House in Ubud. It’s a beautiful traditional Balinese home with spacious, modern, and perfectly clean rooms. The property is lovingly managed by a husband and wife who truly make you feel at home, welcoming you as part of a traditional Balinese family. If you are looking for an authentic experience combined with comfort and warm hospitality, Sahadewa House is the perfect choice. We would definitely stay here again!

Very quiet neighborhood. I like how they maintained their traditional house and extend it to travelers to experience and see what is like living in Bali. There’s a next laundry shop next to it which is very convenient. Staff/Family that runs the house is Very Helpful. I slept and rest very well during my stay. Breakfast is also good.

South AfricaThe only downside was a loud clicking sound outside our room that would happen in intervals. It sounded like a heater for water, or something like that. But it didn’t downplay our stay too much.
Everything was so well thought out, and there were so many communal spaces to relax. There was always boiling water readily available on every table for coffee or tea whenever you please. The owners were so lovely and accommodating. The breakfast was divine, fresh fruit every morning while overlooking the beautiful garden.

AustraliaSahadewa House was perfect for our needs. I have travelled extensively in Indonesia throughout the past 35 years and was accompanying a first-time traveller to Bali. SH reminded me of the homestays/losmen of the past where guests can access help and support from the family and staff, yet still given privacy and autonomy. Located in the southern part of Ubud (more Peliatan) in a quiet laneway. We loved the manicured gardens, family pura, statues and relaxing sound of water from the fountains. Bed was very comfy, rooms and bathrooms were spotless. We were very grateful for the access to a kitchen. Best of all were the family and lovely staff. Matur suksema Ibu dan Pak Nyoman. I would definitely stay again.

PolandThis place has such a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere. The owners are incredibly kind and warm — it really doesn’t feel like staying in a hotel, but more like being at home. There’s a lovely garden where you can relax, and a shared kitchen with bottled water available. The room was cleaned every day, and everything felt very clean and comfortable. FranceUnfortunately a common problem in Ubud is humidity and as I’m allergic it was difficult to sleep. I don’t know if they have the same problem in all rooms, but I was staying in the underground room with few air ventilation. The house is 15min-20min from restaurants and the walk is not pleasant as the street is very busy. It’s better to have a scooter. Even after the negative experience in my room, I still recommend this family house for their kindness and believing the problem was only in this underground room. They accepted to cancel my other nights and even drove me to my another hotel.
The family is lovely, the garden is beautiful and good breakfast. Free coffee and tea all day. The bed is extremely comfortable and the room is big.

The room was spacious and really clean. It had a lovely little terrace where I could have my breakfast in the peace and quiet of the lovely well mannecured private garden. Lovely host who is happy to answer all your questions! As a bonus, you can rent a scooter directly from Sahadewa house so you need not worry about moving around. I particularly liked the serene atmosphere in the house.
