Amazing Place to stay. The warm welcome from the hosts and view is really incredible. I wasn’t feeling too well and they really took care of me and when I forgot something in the room. The host made sure I got it after I left. I would come back 100%

We only stopped here very briefly, but I wish we had longer. The views are absolutely stunning - the most incredible sunrise. The hosts were very helpful and kind, and wifi is strong. Location has nothing nearby but that is to be expected given its more rural location

the view, the kindness of the host family (everyone is very friendly and they were so kind to invite us to a traditional ceremony in their village), the food (veggies from the garden, homemade tempeh), big and clean room, comfy big bed with warm blanket

Absolutely everything. Great location with a spectacular view, beautiful sunrise. Wonderful night sky with visible milkyway. The room was spaceious and clean. Nice traditional breakfast and dinner options. Most of all the host Filip and his wife Helen are amazing. They have wonderful children and everyone made us feel so welcome and at home. They are so kind and Filip gave us great tips what to do around Ruteng. Wonderful hike through the rice fields and lunch with locals, amazing guided tour through spiritual cave and great places where to get dinner. He really let us take part in his life and the life of his community. Thank you so much, we enjoyed every minute of our stay and also loved the night at the bon fire.

Great tranquil family run guesthouse just before you hit Ruteng ….which is prettier from this distance! The host Philip is a teacher, enthusiastic, brilliant source of local history, culture and info. We really enjoyed sitting down to a simple, delicious meal with him … he helped us plan our ongoing road trip!

Great host, amazing homestay! We stayed for one night, but wished we could stay longer. The homestay is close to Transflores road, but you dont hear the traffic, and also few minutes driving to Ruteng, looking down the valley. Phillipo (the owner) is very nice. He welcomed us, prepared for us delicious dinner. Next morning we enjoyed amazing sunrise from the room, and we were given tasty breakfast. Simple and clean homestay, close to Ruteng. In the next days Phillipo helped us with tips and by sharing his contacts on Flores, as he used to work in tourism. Without him we couldnt have organised Komodo boat tour, as we were too late to take the classic tours. On top of everything, he speaks english very well, so we could ask everything we wanted to know about the island. Thank you, Phillipo!

The water pressure in the shower was a bit weak.

Very new bungalows build to a high standard. The host were also extremely welcoming and nice.

Nothing. Only caveat: you won’t be able to sleep in as the sun rises directly in front of the massive windows!

Amazing expérience, highly recommend! Thank you so much to Philip & Helene for the wonderful welcome. We felt right at home upon arrival. Their kids were lovely and we had a little dance with them. Thank you for the recommendations and the morning tour to a nearby hidden waterfall. Also, the sunrise is beautiful, you sée it right from your room. Hope we will see you again.

Philip, Helen and Kayla are so lovely! We learned a lot about the surroundigs. Great views. Comfy bed. Breakfast was super nice. It gets quite cold at night so bring warm layers.

Water for shower was very cold. Might not be as much of a problem in the morning or during the day when its warm outside, but we arrived after sunset.
