The most serious issue is that my personal phone number somehow started circulating among strangers after I checked in. I shared my number with the receptionist only for communication via messenger – this was the only place where I had ever left this number. Shortly after, I began receiving late‑night messages from unknown numbers, some asking if I was staying there alone. For a solo female traveler, this is extremely concerning. I initially tried to forget about it and just blocked the numbers, but 1.5 weeks after I had already checked out, I received another message from an Indonesian number. I truly hope the management reads this and takes it seriously, because this crosses a line. On top of that, there was no hot water in my room. The staff may have been trying to help, but the only advice I got was to “turn the tap on and wait” – even after 30 minutes there was still no hot water. The Wi‑Fi was also very unreliable – it disconnected every minute, requiring me to log in with a username and password over and over again (sometimes it wouldn’t reconnect for even longer). I was offered access to a second network, but it had the exact same issue. Lastly, the room itself had large gaps in the wooden walls, so when the lights were off, light would seep through from the storage room next door. This also affected sound insulation, making it even less comfortable.

The place itself is beautiful – it genuinely feels like living inside a museum. Everything around you is inspiring and has a unique atmosphere. Unfortunately, that’s the only positive I can mention.

It was all pretty good - although you had to duck your head to get into the room. Breakfast was a tad early for me!

It was a very good room, There was a little undercover area outside our room where we could sit and enjoy a quiet drink. It was surprisingly sheltered from the road noise. There was also a delightful little restaurant just next door which had good food for very good prices.

It's on a dual carriageway, so you have to loop around to get to the property if coming from the other direction. It's not a huge issue, but something to watch out for.

Staff are amazing as was the room Very clean and peaceful with awesome sculptures around the site.

Really the loved the energy and vibe of this place. Fantastic kind staff and excellent environs. Breakfast excellent. And cafe nice too. Good sweet basic accommodation and great value for money.

A beautiful and unique place to stay, with fantastic rooms, the opportunity to explore the galleries and very good breakfast! Also a very good cafe with amazing coffee and food. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and unique stay. It's a little outside of the centre but very easy and good value to get taxis.

This property was fantastic in every sense of the word!!! The grounds themselves were amazing!!! Artworks EVERYWHERE! And not just small pieces, but huge sculptures that were world class. A large 3 roomed gallery that was available to stroll through at any time! Again, full of world class works! The rooms both inside and out were truely Indonesian authentic! The bed was a king, very comfortable as were the pillows. The room was serviced daily with fresh water, towels, tea and coffee. The breakfasts were exceptional! Again, truely authentic and every morning we had something different. Some of the best food we’ve eaten in 3 months in Indonesia. There was an incredible cafe next door as part of the complex. The property is located incredibly centrally, although a motorbike or Grab is necessary, as most places of interest are not within walking distance.

Nothing - it was all good.

Traditional Homestay type property but with a difference. Apartments settled in a large courtyard surrounded by amazing sculptures and artwork. The staff were very friendly, thoughtful, helpful and considerate. The Indonesian breakfasts were excellent and the restaurant / coffee shop next door provided excellent food, coffee and service. The art galleries on property were excellent as were the art books that were available to view.
