Fantastic place to rest in south Ubud. The team is great and very helpful, thank you 🙏 With a scooter, central Ubud is only 20 min away. The villa and the garden are very clean and confortable, we spent 5 very. Ice days here!!

Quite a distance to Ubud, so transport is needed. There’s options available and the staff are able to organise this. The surrounding area is a village, with no public transport.

Lovely comfortable room in beautiful gardens. The beds are huge and super comfy, although the partially outside bathroom can be an issue, although not for us. Wi-Fi was good and a large tv with Netflix and Prime was a bonus as the weather wasn’t great. Breakfast had the usual choices for Bali and was well cooked, served to your room. The lunch menu had a varied choice, reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful. This is a small property so wasn’t busy, for us it was a place to unwind and that’s exactly what we did!

Rooster crowing very early (but this is everywhere across the neighbourhood). Mosquitoes can be a nuisance but they are everywhere near water.

Breakfast and dinner at the diner was very good. Bali coffee served very good. Very friendly and helpful staff. Located near Ubut sites and activities.

Main problem is the hot water is not enough for use of 2 people without waiting awhile for the tank to heat up. bad sound insulation on the house, able to hear chatters from neighbour. Pool size is small.

Bathroom needs a bit of maintenance as the shower squirts out sideways meaning toilet area all got covered in water.

Such friendly and welcoming staff! I really liked the location as it’s away from the madness of central Ubud but only a ten minute scooter ride away. You do still hear some road noise at night and are next to a temple so there are musical instruments playing at various times of the day although I quite liked this. The cabins are really dark, everything is dark brown.

The half open air bathroom. It is quite scary when you want to use the bathroom especially in the middle of night. Love the concept but during day only. Lol.

I had an absolutely amazing time at Canvas Escape Resort. The rooms were huge and spotless, with great décor and super comfy bed. The staff were very friendly and consistently making sure I was comfortable. In addition, I love the welcoming drinks. Very Refreshing!

The bathrooms are a little outdated and the pool looks like it could do with a refurb. We didn’t swim as it wasn’t that appealing but that didn’t ruin our stay. For what the hotel advertises and the price I can’t really fault much!

The staff were lovely couldn’t fault their customer service. The property rooms are as pictured which was nice, big spaces and comfortable beds. We had a few issues out of the hotel’s control when we arrived we let them know and they did everything they could to fix the issues. Unfortunately the problem couldn’t be fixed instantly so with clear communication they moved us to a new room (same type but I preferred the layout) and even gave us a lovely free massage for our troubles!

I would suggest some refubishing of the bathroom area, nothing major, but the shower/toilet area were there only areas that could do with some attention in my opinion. A little more information on what to expect/wear/bring when booking tours at reception would have been helpful. Dark wood villa's are very dark and could do with some additional lighting

Staff were helpful even before I arrived at the resort. They responded to emails quickly answering questions and providing information. When I arrived staff exceeded my expectations and made me feel very welome. My villa was comfortable and a good size with everything I needed. Using Whatsapp to contact the reception desk was a nice and convenient touch and made ordering meals very easy. The food was tasty, and potions were generous. The spa on site and swimming pool brings it all together very nicely. Just a short drive to Ubud market so if you can tear yourself away from this resort everything else is quite close.

What we didn’t like is that we booked a room that is a bit more expensive but also a lot bigger. But without any notice they changed our room to a smaller one that is also lower in price than the originally one we booked. They explained to us that the toilet was broken in the room we booked so that’s why they changed our room. but we would appreciate to get notice about this before check in. Because then we would ask if we could change the date until the toilet is fixed again. Because we really wanted to stay in the originally room we booked since it’s bigger and in my opinion more beautiful, so that point im disappointed about. This is the second time we booked this hotel but because of this im not sure it will be a third time. We didn’t get any compensation but we was tired that day so we didn’t wanna argue about compensation so we ended up not asking for it.

The staff is super friendly and welcoming, they try their best to make your stay as good as possible. They also gave us one hour extra free check out which we were very grateful about. The garden is beautiful & we didn’t have problems with animals in our room. The room was good and beautiful but a bit too small for our like. If it was bigger the room would get a 10/10. Bed is super comfortable and we have a very nice sleep. Location is good, only 15 min away from the inner city that offers a lot of restaurants. But what’s best about this villa hotel is the staff and they really deserve a huge thumbs up for that.
