Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Australia- Nothing, all was good, ppl that come here are aware they will not be in hustle n bustle of central Ubud - Great little family business (Irak was in hospitality before so knows how to look after and ensure guests are happy and their needs cater for)

United StatesI know this is a family business and this place is very popular with some, however, I appreciate honest reviews. The owners languages are Indonesian and French. It cost 100 000 IDR to get into Ubud center by Grab, and it is difficult to get anyone to drive there because of the location. While the room was tidy and clean, the smell of mold/mildew was so overwhelming it was a challenge to be in the room.
The owner was kind. The view of the rice terraces was pretty.

United StatesCons: Room was dark and smelled heavily of mildew. Probably a moisture issue from no AC. The sheets and towels were heavily scented to cover the smell. There was no soap in the bathroom. Only one outlet for the entire room so I had to choose between charging my phone or having the fan on which is a terrible choice when there is no AC and the air smells stale. Communication was a bit difficult.

Beautiful location with a lovely view of the rice fields! We loved being off the beaten track. Nice little breakfast included. The people were lovely. Room and bathroom felt very clean and the bathroom felt really spacious for the size!

GermanyFor us it was too much humidity (bath, pillows etc.), as the room is just above the rice fields and in the shade of the trees. Unfortunately we had to leave because of this. The price is super cheap, so there are 7* thanks to the price and super Hosts despite this problem.
It is a really balinesian house/room with the great Hosts - very friendly, tried to explain us the culture etc.
