Be aware that the call to prayer can be quite loud in this location - not the fault of the accommodation but it's worth noting, this is Indonesia after all! You will also be sharing your space with the odd gecko, again, nothing that can be helped by the accommodation but it's worth mentioning as some people may want to be aware of this in advance.

The hospitality was amazing, really good service and the food was absolutely lovely. Really close to Borobudur as well. The rooms and site are really nice also.

There was no kettle, fridge, or safety deposit box in the room, but you can get both hot and cold water from a dispenser in the restaurant kitchen. Still, considering that there is no convenience store nearby, I would appreciate these amenities in the room. Do keep in mind that the hotel is close to paddy fields, so insects and small animals are around - something to be aware of if you’re not used to nature.

The hotel features a beautiful garden and pool - perfect for relaxing. The staff were very kind and helped carry my luggage, which was much appreciated. If you walk along the main road toward the next hotel, you’ll catch stunning views of Merapi volcano and even see the top of Borobudur directly from the hotel.

Located in quiet kampung in the rice fields a short distance from Borobodur temple. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. All meals were excellent and generous servings. The manager helped arrange an excellent day tour for us and we enjoyed the use of bicycles to explore the local area. We highly recommend Rumah Dharma

Because you sit outdoors there were many small flying insects that bite despite the staff’s efforts to provide insect coils and spray. But they try!

Beautiful traditional Javanese village houses with modern bathrooms set in the midst of rice paddies a half hour walk from the famous Borobudur temple. Breakfast is served in a separate gazebo overlooking the paddies and swimming pool.

Fantastic little hotel! The location in the rice paddies is beautiful, and you can even glimpse Borobudur Temple over the trees. Both Borobudur and Mendut Temples are within walking/cycling distance, and there are lovely nearby villages that are easily explored. The swimming pool is lovely after a hot day sightseeing, and the food (breakfast & dinner - local Javanese) is exceptionally tasty, plentiful, and good value. Staff are all really friendly and helpful, and even gave me a little leaving gift. Rooms are large, comfortable, and clean. Stayed an extra night and would have stayed even longer if I didn't have to fly home! Perfect place to stay if you are attending for Vesak Day or general sightseeing.

Only one little thing worth mentioning was when we arrived before the check-in time of 2pm even though our rooms were ready the policy was to charge an additional 200,000 rupees to get early access . We opted to wait!

The meals tasted like they came out of a 5 star restaurant. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. The location was only a half hour walk or 5 minutes taxi ride to Borobudur Temple. The individual units were pretty basic but comfortable and clean

Comfortable and authentic Java house setting in country side. Nice pool good enough to chill out. Borobudur temple in 15 mins walking distance(they offer bicycles to move around) Practical but large room size. Delicious home cooking meal (so don't go out for food). Well-trained employees with good English.

We stayed for 3 nights at Rumah Dharma and we absolutely loved it! The staff provided excellent customer service — they were very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. We were also lucky to have the best villa room with a calming view of the rice fields. The food, from breakfast to dinner, was delicious. If we return in the future, we will definitely choose to stay at Rumah Dharma again. A big thank you to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable!

The friendliness of the staff is outstanding! Always approachable and helpful. The location is perfect, quiet but close enough to Borobudur and in the middle of the idyllic rice fields. The pool is exceptionally beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay.
