Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe bathroom showerhead was a bit chalky and old, and one light and plug didn't work, but the shower was nice and hot and I think it was still really good value for money.
I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Rizky Guesthouse, the owner replied quickly, updated me to an even better room since I was staying for 3 weeks. When it rained I could borrow his umbrella. He picks you up from the main street with a scooter and brings your luggage there too. The room was clean, the beds are made every morning, they clean the room often and change the bedsheets. You can always ask for an extra towel and he immediately arranges it. The bed was nice and firm, I slept really well there.. I didn't hear any noises from the street. It's nicely hidden in the ricefields, and at walking distance from the busy Ubud Centre. Next door there's an amazing massage place for deep tissue massages (Serenity, ask for Dian) and a really cozy cafe with really good coconut cappuchino's, wifi and a view (Pokako)!

GermanyI personally don't have a problem with this but be advised that the property is up a very steep hill and cars cannot go on the road because it is too small. If you arrive with lots of luggage or have a problem with walking this might be an issue. The road is also quite narrow and you have to watch out a bit for the oncoming scooters, but that's a very normal thing to expect in SE Asia.
Ketut the owner was very friendly and helpful, easy to contact and always up for a chat if you meet him on the property. It's a beautiful little complex of houses on a street only accessible by foot or scooter (good to know if you arrive by taxi and the car can't go all the way up the hill). Towels and hand soap were supplied and Ketut made the bed everyday. The Aircon worked without a fuss, the bathroom was spacious and the hot water took a little to come in but the water pressure was nice and strong. The biggest feature of the property is the location. It's serene and tranquil, with the sound of the water fountain feeding the pool reverberating though the courtyard. There's outside seating and shade and most importantly a water refill station with filtered water. This is actually my favorite part of the property and worth explicitly mentioning. I never had to worry about buying water or where the plastic bottles might end up. I didn't use the pool so can't speak to it's quality but it looks fine, like any other pool that receives rainwater and only a tiny bit cloudy. Down the little road are rice fields, next door is a cafe I highly recommend for any meal of the day and a spa where I had the best massage of my life. The location is perfect, you can walk into the city centre and experience the hustle and bustle and then return to the peaceful quiet of the rice fields. Would absolutely stay here again.

United KingdomThe pool is a lovely space but needs a clean more often.
Ketut is a really lovely host. Friendly and helpful. Leant us a kettle for morning coffees. Our rooms were a good size as were shower rooms. Outside space for the rooms were great. Gardens are well looked after. Really good value for money. Located down a path (scooter access but not cars) the path is beautiful. Lots of cafes and art shops nearby. Close enough to walk to town.

United KingdomThe property was extremely good value for my 3 week stay for yoga teacher training. The bed was very comfortable. It was made every day by the host Ketut. A towel was provided. When I wanted a new one, I would just ask, and he would swap it out. I stayed here at the same time as the Korean girl who has just left a 3/10 review. I actually witnessed her be extremely rude to Ketut. She was very entitled and wanted him to deep clean every day and change her bedding and towels. She complained about ants and cockroaches - I did not see these in the room. When in a tropical climate, this is to be expected though. Ketut was always very polite - he asked how my day was and offered to take me to places if I needed. He works very hard at the property working long hours. The room is basic, but it has warm water, fridge and kettle with spacious shower area. There isn’t a window which was the only downside for me as I would have to sit outside on the balcony in the heat or be inside. Literally the only reason I give it 9/10. Toiletries are not provided, but I would not expect them to be when paying so little! My flight landed late at night. My driver had to wait 2 hours for me to get through the busy airport. I arrived at the car entrance at 2am and he came down in the rain on his scooter to collect me and my bags. They were not drunk as the Korean girl implied, as she was in the car in front of me at the time. I think it’s important to be mindful about damaging someone’s business. Thank you Ketut for being a very good host.

Australiathe only thing we didn’t know was that you can only get there by foot or scooter on a hill, so keep that in mind if you’re traveling with kids or big luggage. Also the room didn’t have black out curtains so early in the morning it was already daylight in the room.

New ZealandI think the owner or staff were smoking, so anytime i would want to rest on my terrace i could smell the cigarette. One night I could smell it coming through in my bedroom. The room was quite dark and window would open on the reception so not very private. And at night i would get the light from the reception area.
I loved the location on a pedestrian/scooter only street in the middle of the ricefields. The pool was nice. No breakfast served but there are a few nice cafe in walking distance for nice breakfast.

AustraliaThe access is very challenging to all accommodations above Jalan Raya. There is only a narrow cement path to accommodate pedestrians & scooters going in both directions. There is literally only enough room for 2 scooters to pass……so pedestrians need to be away from scooters when two are passing.
The manager was very helpful & pleasant

AustraliaNo mugs in the room to make tea in the morning. However they did manage to find me one when I asked.
Lovely little guest house in the quite rice fields of Ubud. Stunning location with very good restaurants either side. Although it was in a quiet area a 5 minute walk takes you to the hussle and bussle of the main tourist area. So really the perfect location. There are yoga studios nearby also. The staff were very helpful and kind. Particularly the young man who checked me in. One negative is that the path in is only accessible by scooter or foot. It's not wide enough for a car to drive down. Would definitely stay again

New ZealandAs with many accommodation rooms, the bathroom doesn't have any ventilation, so our room had a musty smell wafting into the bedroom from bathroom. The fan helps somewhat. Simple design fault. The owners do their best. But room's sunny and bright.
Great spot, lovely owner, really affordable. Perfect location in rice fields away from the crazy noisy streets. V close to everything. I would definitely return and recommend.

AustraliaBooked a room according to the pictures had windows but my room had no windows. The one with windows they rent long term to an osteopathic business and even though Ketut informed the owner of my complaint of no windows he didn't seem to care. Already had my money. They are also building more rooms so construction noise made it impossible to sit outside on the couch.
Couch on the porch was great. Pool was excellent. Ketut was quite helpful.

New ZealandThe pool looked to be un-swimable, a very green colour that you couldn’t see the bottom of.
Pro, was right on one of the walkways around the area- however my room was directly above said walkway of which motor scooters and pedestrians made good use of well into the night. The room had a huge covered porch facing west to catch the sunset over the rice paddies. There was a huge bathroom and an air conditioner

GermanyDespite being a nice place it needs lots of maintenance…the pool needs to be cleaned (deep clean), wash the chair cushions, replace some other cushions outdoor and overall care. Bathroom is old, needs renovating and the walls need a new layer of paint. Everything is old. Nevertheless the place is nice and chill and I like it.
The property itself is quite nice, chill, green and well located.
