The garden is beautiful, my room had a full view of the pool and jungle. The monkeys are very cute and entertaining, it’s a wonderful experience to wake up to them playing outside. The owner was very accomodating and made himself available at midnight to check me in on arrival. Room is huge.

The accommondation itself was really really beautiful - especially the swimming pool.

Unfortunately the room smelled a little like mold and you could also see that. The bathroom was quite dirty and the monkeys in front of the room were quite rude.

I was just looking for a room with cheap price in central Ubud

As the price of the room was very cheap, i was just expecting a clean room, no more but the fan was dirty and noisy, the room was clean but the wall are tired and need to refresh ... The bathroom was dirty (bathtub dirty, lights falling down on top of the mirror, the bottle with shampoo are empty ... When we arrived, nobody was on site except workers, they call someone for checkin. The guy just show us the room and didn't give any info (no wifi code or else ..). The morning, upon check out, we have to search after someone to pay ... If we're not honest, we just leave without paying ... I just want to say that they re building new rooms and that it's look like it will be nice when finished.

We did love our stay, and woke up for a swim in the pool with monkeys, some mould in places & they started working early at 8am on a Sunday morning which was a bit rough

The photos on Booking did not match reality regarding the pool, the sunbeds and the moulded walls in the room and the corridor. I was disappointed to see that both sunbeds were broken and the bottom of the swimming pool wasn't clean. Also, in the corridor of our room the ceiling was completely ruined by mold and even a wall in the room was the same. The air was not healthy to breath. The bungalows have much potential but at the moment the conditions are not good. There are also renovating works happening in the building and there are intense and loud noises from morning till afternoon so if you want to go back to the room to rest for a couple of hours it becomes impossible and frustrating as all you'll hear are intense BANG BANGS. Not reccomended.

I want to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my stay at Raka Rai. As a family of 4 (two children 3 and 6 years old) we booked this hotel based on the photos and comments (pre-covid) but we got 2 double rooms full of green and black mould and with the walls highly damaged by the humidity, see photos. I tried to address the issue to the owner that ignored my remarks. Not only there was very loud music played nearby until midnight but the hotel was renovating a floor and noisy works were starting from 6am until 6pm. On top, the hotel is at at end of a dark narrow street and the swimming pool is used by the monkeys as their playground and toilet. To complete, we got the information just the evening before that the hotel wanted only payment by cash, and it is very difficult to find a bank in the zone. In a nutshell, they are not honest with what is shown in their pictures, and if you want to remain healthy and sleep well, run away!!

Great spot, saw lots of monkeys. Friendly staff, carrying bags upstairs, no problem. Handy spot close but away from the hustle & bustle. View was amazing to wake up to every morning.

Steps a bit tricky for older guests. But definitely stay again.

Location is next to Blue Door - good place for live music and food. Comfortable bed and forest outlook.

They need to make washroom more standard and also need to fix The water issue in washroom.

I loved the location. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The room was amazing, huge windows where we could see the jungle and the monkeys passing in the morning.

The property is literally right on the edge of monkey forest. It was so cool to wake up to monkeys on my balcony. The host was insanely nice and thoughtful, giving us his umbrella during a huge downpour. He was also super quick to reply to our booking.com messages on multiple occasions and was gracious to check us in so late.

Bit outdated but otherwise very nice and the monkeys make it so worth it.

Lovely place! You feel right on the jungle but it is also situated right on the main strip in Ubud. So close to everything, yet so peaceful at the villa. Owner is very friendly. The place is rustic and authentic, yet very clean :)

Very noisy at night due to karaoke bar and nightclub next door. However, this is no fault of the owner of the villa. I slept well nonetheless!

The sign infront of the street is too small, the googlemaps make us lost (different 1 alley). So we should turn back

The bathroom is very old and seems not to be very clean, its a pity because the rest of the room is nice. Pool could also be cleaned or maintanced a bit more.
