Unfortunately the room smelled a little like mold and you could also see that. The bathroom was quite dirty and the monkeys in front of the room were quite rude.

The accommondation itself was really really beautiful - especially the swimming pool.

Very noisy at night due to karaoke bar and nightclub next door. However, this is no fault of the owner of the villa. I slept well nonetheless!

Lovely place! You feel right on the jungle but it is also situated right on the main strip in Ubud. So close to everything, yet so peaceful at the villa. Owner is very friendly. The place is rustic and authentic, yet very clean :)

The bathroom is very old and seems not to be very clean, its a pity because the rest of the room is nice. Pool could also be cleaned or maintanced a bit more.

The location and the room were very nice. The only negative aspect is that from the room you could hear super loud music from the bars arounds until 01.00h night, so it was difficult to sleep.

Very few negatives as the place and owner were great but I was there on a Saturday night and there were 2 places playing loud music nearby until at least midnight or maybe 1am so that made it tough to fall asleep. Also, there was shampoo but no soap. If you are a light sleeper, maybe check with owner if music is played on your nights or not before booking.

Room was as described. Large, clean, lots of natural light, balcony with lovely view. Pool was lovely too. Owner Dewa was very friendly. Really loved the place and owner.

It is true that the bathroom would need a bit more deep cleaning (tub not usable) but the ratio price/quality is still very good and I was there during rainy season so humidity is to be expected!

The family is very welcoming and the swimming pool by the trees is amazing. It is also very well located in town.

Unfortunately there is a bar not far from Raka Rai which play very loud music at night time, didn’t bother me because I’m quick to fall asleep but probably worth mentioning.

As others have mentioned the bathrooms need to be gutted. They’re clean, but very well worn which makes them appear at first glance pretty gross.

What we didn’t like as much was that there was no option for breakfast, which would have been nice considering the prices in Ubud. Also, it’s hard to dry clothes outside or relax by the pool because the monkeys are quite cheeky and bold. They tend to take anything left out, and when we were at the pool, one of them felt threatened and started screeching, so I had to get into the pool. After all, they are still wild animals.

The accommodation was really nice. The pool was generally clean, and the room had a full glass front with a view of the jungle. In the mornings, you could watch the monkeys, which was wonderful. We had daily cleaning, and the bathroom was absolutely fine. The shower also had good water pressure. There were also some extra little things like a kettle and tea, which was great as well.

It’s just off a noisy street so you can hear music sometimes from the bar next door, it didn’t bother me at all as I’m a deep sleeper but my partner struggled!
