Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Easy 5 minute walk to the beach. Beautiful pool just outside our room. Chondri or Jon can make your breakfast and best Bali coffee we’ve had. Or walk to beach with plenty of restaurants on the beach. Good hot showers.

AustraliaWe loved the peaceful atmosphere amongst a beautiful tropical garden setting. The rooms are comfortable and spotless. John and his staff are lovely friendly approachable hosts. The pool is huge. The hotel only has a few rooms if you want to stay somewhere away from the crowds this is the place.

New ZealandThe lane access to the beach was a bit treacherous and not well kept, especially after the rain. Not the responsibility of the hotel though!
Brilliant location with a quick walk to the beach through the adjoining lane, and close enough to good restaurants, on the beachfront and on the street nearby, as well as shopping, ATM, and convenience stores. The place is immaculately kept, the room was spacious, and the pool and garden area are lovely. The owners and staff are helpful and friendly. We would be happy to stay there again. Great value for money.

AustraliaMaybe a floor mat to dry your feet on after pool or shower but of course that’s just a minor suggestion
Great location. 1 minute from beach promenade to go either 10mins walk to Double 6 or 15minutes to Seminyak Square. 10 minutes thru the gangs to Bintang supermarket. So very convenient. Lovely gardens , super quiet with no car traffic or motor bikes . Room was clean , simple . Pool was large and again no one using it. Definitely old school . Nothing fancy but will stay there again. There are plenty of other places to stay in that price range but they can be very disappointing . This was the opposite. I personally loved it.

I enjoy the serene surrounds of raja gardens Had the massive pool to myself for most of my stay The hotel was fantastic , room was clean , yet a little dated like most Bali venues, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying my stay Beautiful manicured gardens need to be seen , plenty of fruit trees and the sweet smell frangipani in between the concrete jungle of other resorts John and his family are the perfect hosts

United StatesWe wish to have breakfast included in this accommodation. It would be nice to stay at our spacious comfortable room but had to dress up to go out for breakfast. Yes, they have room service but at a high additional charge.
It is only a block away from activities: one direction to beach, the other direction to shopping. The whole Raja Garden House is like a private garden.

Th gardens are expansive and beautiful, creating an inviting and calm atmosphere. There is a really big pool that was great. the rooms are large and clean and loved the open bathroom. The location is great, short stroll to the beach and short stroll to numerous restaurants up the nearby street. The area is relatively quiet, as the street out the front is a court, so not lots of passing traffic. The hosts, John and his Family, were very accommodating and friendly.

GermanyPrivacy is somewhat limited as the rooms and terraces are right next to each other. But the guests were all considerate. There was a charge for credit card payment. Had we known beforehand we would have had enough cash with us.
Quiet oasis in a beautiful garden very close to the beach centre of Seminyak. Very spacious room. Simply furnished but very clean and everything worked perfectly. Pleasant outdoor bathroom. Very comfortable and large beds. Good mosquito nets. Nice pool and garden view from the room and from the terrace. Friendly staff. We would definitely stay here again.

Raja Gardens is an ideal location in Seminyak. Set back from the busy hustle and bustle, it’s a calm and quiet oasis during your stay. The minute we stepped in to the gardens it was blissful, and yet it’s a two minute walk to the high street for food, bars and shops. As well as being 750m from the beach - you couldn’t pick a better spot. The staff were so friendly, and very helpful. The rooms were clean, well prepared and the shower was amazing - which is such a bonus when you’re travelling. We couldn’t fault it, and would recommend it to anyone staying in Seminyak!

AustraliaBath towels need updating No pool towels No TV in the rooms which was actually nice to ‘disconnect’ so used our IPad , but could be an issue with kids. No room safe but does have a lockable cabinet
Location, location, location. 2 min walk to the beach with cool bars & restaurants and easy flat walk everywhere we wanted to go. Old school Bali so felt like you were immediately in the Bali vibe. The property is basic so doesn’t expect all the bells & whistles of a large or flashy hotel, which we loved ! Owners live on site so felt very secure Only 5 poolside guest rooms so felt really personal Rooms are really large and clean which is great but basic furnishings. Amazing huge pool - and I mean seriously huge so great for swimming laps and just enjoying Beautiful manicured gardens which are lovingly tendered Owners and staff were lovely (John is Australian) so no ‘lost in translation’ moments Great breakfast - best fruit salad from their own trees - extra charge Great fast internet Outdoor bathroom was cute Bali but basic. No hot water in the sink but didn’t need it. Old tiling but no big deal for us however great hot water in the shower. Definitely bring your own shampoo and soap.

AustraliaThe property is old and a little tired, but like I said, it's a great value 2* hotel or guesthouse.
A delightful and quiet old style Bali accommodation about 100 m from the beach. The huge and private gardens are clearly loved by the owners and they value their plentiful mango trees far more than trying to add extra accommodation which they could easily do with so much space. When they arrived It was surrounded by rice paddies but now fancy hotels are in every direction. Despite that, we found it extremely quiet and incredibly convenient. It's a two-star hotel but it's clean and the aircon works fine. The pool is huge and the owners helpful if you ask. What more could you want when so much of Bali has disappeared up its own backside and just become a fantasy theme park of what tourists think Bali might be like. If you want luxury, beach club, nightclub, and insta ready scenery this is not the place for you. But if you like a quiet base within easy walking distance to shops, markets, restaurants and of course walks on the (still incredible) beach then it's perfect.
