10/10 Location! Outstanding service from the staff. Fantastic facilities

If I had to fault anything it would be the size of the bed in our room. It is tiny. For the size of the room it could definitely take a queen if not a king size bed.

The location of the accommodation is terrific and something really special. The view is amazing and the outdoor area is very creative, tastefully and lovingly designed. A very nice and quiet place to relax! There is a long pool where you can really swim. In the kitchen there is a donor for drinking water, where you can help yourself at any time. Ary, the young guy who takes care of the guests and the house is very charming, accommodating and helpful. He also organizes taxi rides, tours, reservations...for the guests. The dog 'Benji' is also something very special. Very friendly and trusting. Nearby there is a great restaurant called 'Mimba Food Corner' with good, reasonably priced food, cool ambience and friendly staff. A place where we spent every evening.

Unfortunately, the room cleaning does not work at all. Although we complained about it, the room was only made twice in six days! The apology after the second complaint was that they had no access to the room. Either this is just a cheap excuse or something is going seriously wrong here! If the apology is true, then this should be communicated to the guests. Apart from that, the accommodation wasn't 100% clean from the start. Here, priority is obviously given to the outdoor area... The staff is very friendly, but in my opinion not very competent and totally unable to communicate clearly. Ary is the only exception. He speaks impeccably English and does his job well and professionally. Now to the furnishings: the faucet on the sink leaks, so that after about a day a puddle forms next to the sink and on the floor. The toilet seat looks like it's at least 20 years old. The same applies to the fittings in the shower. The toilet brush doesn't look very appetizing either, the toilet paper holder is loose and hangs crooked... There are just too many things that look very worn. I refrain from uploading any photos here... We're annoyed that we spent so much money because we expected more. Simply a higher level of perfection, service and luxury. It is therefore somewhat difficult for us to give a truly fair assessment.... Conclusion: This accommodation can mainly score with its unique and fantastic location and its beautiful and amazing outdoor area. However, most other things here are below average when considering the high price. For this reason, I can only give it a "good" rating. If the price were a lot cheaper, it would definitely have earned the full number of points.

One of Bali's 'Best Kept Secrets!' Villa Raaga Sumudra is an absolute gem of a place to stay on the East Coast. If you're visiting areas around Candi Dasa, or catching a ferry to or from the Gili Islands or Lombok - highly recommend a few nights or even a week in 'Villa Raaga Sumudra.' Beautifully situated high up on the headland, only minutes out of Padang Bai - there are a choice of 3 Villas for accommodation. Styling of the whole place with rooms attached to the large, central mansion on the property, is yours to be enjoyed with a magnificent 'Infinity Pool' looking out over the straits to Nusa Penida and south over a long stretch of reachable, private beach. The whole place has a wonderful sense of 'British/Indian Raj' styling not unlike 'Singapore's Raffles Hotel.' Beautiful open-air layout, tapestries, colonial style teak furniture, Hindu statuettes and a lovely feeling of grace, style, serenity and elegance. Staff are amazing and only to helpful to accommodate your every desire from breakfasts to snacks to transport to local Restaurants. Cannot speak highly enough about 'Villa Raaga Samudra' - The place. The decor. The location. One of our top highlights of our 2 month stay exploring Bali. Put this place on your 'Bucket List!'

Perhaps a little more variety for breakfast and suggest, offering ( in advance ) the choice of on premises lunch or dinner with a selection of Drinks, cocktails, Wines, etc. The Villa is too nice to not offer and take advantage of the modern in-house kitchen to provide a more intimate range of dining options. Dining room seems unused and large office/ library ( more Books ) TV lounge is a great option to use. Still a fabulous place to stay!

It is very small facility, only for4-6 people. Very quite, secluded and high comfort. Personal is exceptionally friendly and helpful. It was not really what you could imagine by looking at the pictures but it had it's own magic and in the end we were very happy to spend two nights there.

The location, staff, and property was excellent. The staff were always happy to go out of their way to assist and help but were not intrusive. The property has an exceptional outlook and is very out of the way. The pool is amazing! We hope to return one day.

Water needs to be shipped in, so showers need to be short, which is not an issue, but there was no hot water at all, (admittedly, we didn't say anything about this to staff as we didn't consider this a big issue). The airconditioner in our room didn't really work properly, which made for a hot uncomfortable night.

Amazing views, tranquil environment, beautiful villa and amazing service. We are so grateful for the kind and attentive staff who took care for us during our stay. What the pictures cannot tell is the wonderful sounsdcape, calming sound of the ocean waves, tropical breeze though the trees and the sound of birds. The villa is a short walk from the white beach.

Padangbai is a small village. Perhaps there isn't much to do, if you are not into snorkling. Villa itself is an amazing place to rest. It maybe a bit isolated, but we expexted this and were happy with the location. The staff helped us to get to town when needed.

The staff, pool and view was fabulous. Option to have meals delivered or cooked on premise was nice. There is a sweet adorable dog to play with (Benji.)

Would be better if snacks and drinks were available for purchase for between meals.

The high reviews and photos are true to form. This is a unique property, with a beautiful view and pool, a five-star team and an adorable dog. Highlights: sunrise/sunset views, ocean view from the bedroom, home-cooked food, a white-sand beach (2 minutes on a scooter) where we spotted turtles in the water. We shared the property with another couple who weren’t here most of the time. The only thing you’ll find lacking is the social factor with other travelers (seclusion is one of the redeeming points in favor of this Villa). Then again, there’s plenty of options to explore Padangbai and Blue Lagoon on a scooter. Thanks to Ari, Ludis, Mira, Kadek (and Benji) for a unique experience and a memorable stay. They even planned a birthday surprise meal with a cake for my partner (likely one of the best meals we had in Bali).

What an incredible stay we had here. We rounded off our trip in Bali with a last minute stay here and we are so so pleased that we did! Felt like a little slice of paradise. All the staff at the villa were so welcoming and hospitable, even drove us down to the marina for our Snorkeling trip. It felt like nothing was too much and we were incredibly grateful to them all. The breakfasts were exceptional, made even better with the views around the villa. The room was amazing! And hearing the sounds of the sea every night was so special. Also house dog Benji was a joy to be around, thank you for a wonderful stay and we will sure to be returning!

    Nothing! It was perfect!
