Unbelievable place to stay for the price! We were impressed, the staff thought of everything - even umbrellas and earplugs for the noise, we were amazed! You can rent bikes at the reception. The pool is amazing. We want to come back here!

Very nice location, located in a quiet hill, in a walking distance from Ubud center and ~2 Km away from Monkey Forest. Rooms are large, perfectly clean and equipped with all you may need for a comfortable stay. Just a minro problem with the bathroom: if you don’t pay attention, when you take a shower the whole bathroom get flooded Breakfast is not very varied, but it is prepared and served with care: in any case it is enough for a good start in the morning. The whole staff is lovely, helpful for any request you may have (arranging transfer, renting scooter, …). At Queen we really had a cozy stay and I would recommend it.

Room next door were very noisy until 1am when we had a 4am start the next dat, not the fault of the property but the sound really travels. Also found it a bit difficult to get to the room from reception, had to go down some steps, across an uneven paved area and then upstairs to the room. Pavers are difficult to walk on especially with cases and at night.

Very nice place tucked away from the main St but still close enough to walk, Monkey Forest is just 2.5km away and can be walked, although there is a hill you need to negotiate on the way home. Nice, clean, friendly and pretty good value....don't go looking for the restaurant or indoor pool though.(outdoor only)

It was actually a bit far to go anywhere. The room was spacious and tidy, however, it was hard to take a shower without making the bathroom flooded since there the wall between shower and toilet was too short it could not cover all the water from shower. We had to clean and wipe all water down to the drainer a few times after the bathroom was flooded which was really uncomfortable. Otherwise, it was cozy and nice stay.

The only negative thing was the ongoing reconstruction just next to the hotel. Loud noises, workers were crossing the pool area. However once this will be over, the hotel is a fantastic value.

The construction happening, the workers also stay and sleep in the construction area but it was harmless. Also, the electric sockets didn’t work for the first night, and there was an electrical outage late night which wasn’t resolved for few hours

Of course, there were a few downsides. The bathroom had a strong damp smell due to the wall and floor structure, and unfortunately, there was construction happening right next door. The workers sometimes stared at the pool area, which made us a bit uncomfortable, and the noise was quite noticeable. However, the hotel providing earplugs was a thoughtful gesture we appreciated. The water heater was quite old, so we had to wait a long time just to enjoy a cup of coffee. Towels were limited, and the TV wasn’t functioning.

Queen at Gunning Sari – Warm hospitality close to the heart of Ubud This lovely place is just a short walk from Ubud city center and filled with genuinely kind people. The teardrop-shaped pool caught our attention, and we decided to stay for 3 nights — a decision we don’t regret! We rented a motorbike directly from the hotel at a very affordable price. The staff answered every question we had, and the cleanliness of the place was satisfactory. One highlight was the pool view from the balcony — not something you find easily in Ubud. Despite these minor inconveniences, our overall experience wasn’t badly affected. It’s a cozy and trustworthy place that we would still recommend — especially knowing how well they care for the adorable kittens on the property. You can stay here with peace of mind. 🐾💛

There is a construction site next to the rooms. While lying on the sunbeds, the noise from the construction was very loud and disturbing. We asked to change rooms for one farther away from the construction, but there was still a lot of noise
