Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceNothing, everything was perfect.
Our stay at Puri Prana Guest House was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the entire family welcomed us with such kindness and warmth that we immediately felt at home. The host was incredibly helpful, always ready to share valuable information and advice on local activities, as well as assisting us with booking tickets and arranging excursions. This personal touch made our stay much smoother and more enjoyable. Our room upstairs offered a breathtaking view of the rice fields, a sight we will never forget. The room itself was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained. Each morning, we were treated to a delicious homemade breakfast, a perfect start to the day. Overall, it was a wonderful homestay experience that combined comfort, authenticity, and heartfelt hospitality. We highly recommend Puri Prana Guest House to anyone visiting the area. 🌿✨

GermanyWe stayed here for a few nights when visiting Ubud throughout our Indonesia travels. We really liked being in the outskirts where we could relax aside from Ubud traffic. We loved the amazing views over rice terraces that are basically in your backyard. Nevertheless, it’s just a short drive to Ubud centre and a great location for trips in the area. The owner and all staff was very kind and welcoming and supports with everything you need from recommendations to trips or drivers. We really enjoyed our stay there and can fully recommend!

NetherlandsI like sleeping with the windows open for fresh air in the evenings, but there wasn’t a mosquito net in the room. Luckily, I brought my own, so I slept fine, but not everyone will think to pack one. The owners could definitely add this as an improvement because the mosquitoes can be a problem at night. Another thing that could be improved is the atmosphere in the room. At night, it felt a bit plain and lacked character. There’s just a bed, a small table, and some paintings, but I’m someone who really loves plants. Adding a few plants here and there or books could make the space feel a lot more inviting and lively.
The rooms are spacious, super clean, and well-maintained. The bed was really comfortable, and the view from the room over the rice fields made mornings so peaceful. Plus, the breakfast was amazing—freshly made and super delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and always happy to help. The shower had hot water, which was a pleasant surprise since most other hotels I’ve stayed in only had cold showers. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was such a relief in the heat. The pool was clean and great for a relaxing swim. Oh, and there was a dog! At first, he barked at me, and I got a bit startled, but I quickly realized he’s actually very sweet—just a bit scared of people. If you give him a cookie, he’ll instantly warm up to you, and suddenly, you’ve got yourself a new furry friend. No need to be scared of the barking—it’s all part of the charm!"

South AfricaLocation wasn’t great. Couldn’t really walk anywhere and there were very few shops in walking distance. Very rural.
The owner and his family were very accommodating and helpful. The pancakes at breakfast were great and the fruit and noodles. Made the owner was so friendly and organised all our tours like our Balinese cooking class, ATV and water rafting. Also organised a driver for us to Munduk. Our room over looked the rice paddies.

SingaporeIt would be good to have some shampoo in the toilet, which is fairly easy and cheap to provide. Adding a fan in the room would also help for days where I did not want to switch on the aircon.
Peaceful location overlooking rice fields. Room was very clean and the sheets were freshly laundered. This was in the middle of a Balinese family compound so you can also see how the architecture of a typical Balinese home is like. Host was very friendly and responsive over WhatsApp throughout my stay. Breakfast was included and served with a smile every morning. Rooms were very breezy. Note that this is a little farther from the city centre -- it's a 5-10 min drive away.

We had an amazing week in Madde's house! Him and his family are lovely and made sure we were comfortable. Also, my boyfriend had to go to the hospital after an accident and all the family took great care of us. About the room and the place : it's quiet and peaceful, we were glad to book here and not in Ubud to be able to enjoy the beautiful view and the life in the village. It was the best accommodation we had during our holidays in Bali and it was difficult to leave because we felt so welcomed and so good ! Thank you again Madde 🙏
