How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe location was beautiful and breakfast was delicious. The staff were friendly and very helpful
The only thing we didn’t like was beyond the hotel’s control - the weather. We had a full day of rain with a very few, short breaks.

They need to change the towels because they smell dump and look over used.

Verified reviewPuri Kasih sits on beautifully maintained grounds. The rooms were immaculate. We stayed in the Junior Suite and a deluxe room. The Junior Suite has a beautiful bathroom and balcony. The staff were very attentive helping us arrange transport, an incredible massage, and using bicycles to explore the nearby rice fields. Onsite meals were delicious. Not many rooms so the place felt like our own. Pool and Jacuzzi are well maintained. There are terraced grounds leading to a river below.
Location is far from central Ubud (20-30min by car), which makes for peace and serenity but far from shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. We had no trouble finding a Grab.

Verified reviewLocation was great - very quiet, apart from the incessant roosters! We stayed in the Junior Suite which has acres of space and a beautiful bathroom. It was very comfortable and had our own deck to boot. Service was exceptional and the food from the restaurant was top-notch. The walk around the local rice paddies was great too.
I was a little disappointed there was no tea/ coffee in the room but that's a small complaint only. The fruit for breakfast was a little less than expected and guests should be aware of the ~30min transit time between here & Ubud central if going by car. There is nothing local to walk to. There is no real "bar" but they do sell beer & wine (note, of the list of 10+ wines, only one was available in bottle only).

Verified reviewAwesome quiet location, we feel very relaxed. Loved the pool & amazing view. Great friendly staff!
Stairs, not big deal just coming up & down when you’ve been out doing activities all day could be a bit challenging at times🙂 Oh and can use a slightly more powerful hair dryer.

Verified reviewFriendly staff. Our suite had incredibly high ceilings. Food was surprisingly good
Our most disappointing stay in Bali. At $250 (3.7m IDR), this was also the most expensive. - There are 0 amenities, activities, nothing. Just a room for you to stay, wouldn’t call this a resort - Dining: tasty, but very limited menu. Breakfast selection is only bread, bacon, eggs which gets old after the first day or 2 - Very understaffed. Reception was often empty, and unreachable by phone and WhatsApp. Not the staff’s fault, they were all very nice but every staff had multiple jobs and it shows - Air conditioning only available in bedroom, and it was very weak. The living room was majority of the space and had no air conditioning at all. With all the glass walls, it was basically a greenhouse, unusable during the day and stuffy hot even at night. - Woke up to the entire bathroom floor covered with hundreds of dead bugs - No blinds for the glass wall facing the main staircase, so every guest coming in and out of hotel can see your entire living room. 0 privacy. - Internet was very spotty

Verified reviewBeautiful property away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud! The pool with the view over the jungle is gorgeous and the hotel is surrounded by paddy fields. I really enjoyed borrowing the free bicycles and cycling through the area. Big shout out to the lovely staff who were very kind and always around to make my stay comfortable. I also really enjoyed the breakfast, especially the homemade jams!
The location is great if you’re looking to unwind in nature for a few days/explore the rice terraces north of Ubud but might be a bit far if you want to explore the town every day and don’t ride a scooter. The hotel do organize taxis though!
