How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe exterior was beautiful, the location was great, and the bathroom was very nice.
The room felt a bit too cold, especially in the evenings, and lacked warmth and atmosphere. The food was disappointing for the price we paid. We were served a pizza that tasted like a frozen one, and while the other dishes were acceptable, none of them were exceptional. For this price range, the food really needs improvement. The bathroom was beautiful, but the bedroom itself was quite simple and nothing special, and at night it lacked warmth and life. Some of the staff were very welcoming, but others less so.

Verified reviewOur recent stay at Puri Dajuma Terrace was fantastic. An incredible location, away from the packed touristy areas. The view of the rice terrace at the facility is amazing. Highly recommend the walking tour to the neighbouring villages and the waterfall. Beyond location, the cleanliness of the entire facility was impeccable. The rooms were spotless, with great attention to detail. The common areas were also perfectly maintained, showing a clear commitment to guest comfort and hygiene. Finally, what truly made our stay memorable was the kindness and professionalism of the staff: every single person, from the front desk to the housekeeping team, was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. I highly recommend the facility to anyone looking for a top-notch experience. The combination of its perfect location, immaculate rooms, and an incredibly kind staff makes it a true gem.

Verified reviewThe staff was very friendly and accommodating, they even organised a special meal for us that we requested but was not on the menu. They also brought some chocolate fruit for us as we had never tried it. The view was amazing. The room was quite spacious and had everything we needed.
The mattress of the bed was mouldy, which caused us some respiratory issues. We had to resort to sleeping on the sofa with the doors wide open. There was also a large gap between the door leading from the bathroom to the outside area, which made us feel somewhat uneasy as the nearby rice fields can attract snakes. They also told us to leave the lights on in the bathroom at night to keep bats from entering(?). The toilet seat was abnormally high, making it quite uncomfortable to use.

Verified reviewEcological and stylish design, all furniture is woodden and new. Enough space in the villa, amazing views from all the sides. Everything is comfortable and nicely organised. One part of the pool is deep enough for adults and water games. There are nice trails to walk and ride around the hotel. Amazing views on rice terraces and chilly strolls in the forest.
Not a lot of gluten-free options from food selection, so the menu could be boaring for a long time stay.

Verified reviewI had to stay in Bali for 6 weeks due to a knee accident. How lucky I was to receive this diagnosis while staying at the Dajuma Terrace Hotel. For me, this hotel is one of the most beautiful I have ever stayed in. As soon as you arrive, the view over the rice fields down to the sea is breathtaking. The open restaurant is also magical. Every corner is lovingly designed. Because I stayed so long, I was able to try out all the rooms and ate many dishes from the menu. JOGLIO: For me, the most beautiful room of all, you sleep in a huge four-poster bed made of hand-carved pillars while enjoying a magnificent view. The bathroom is unique, equipped with a rain shower which is open at the top. There is plenty of storage space. You also have maximum privacy in Joglio 5. SAWAA: A great terrace directly adjacent to the rice field. I was able to sit outside for a long time in the evening and even watch fireflies. The separate couch in the room is also perfect for watching TV or reading. The bathroom is huge, if a little dark. If you like the earthy scent in the room, this is the right room for you. The bathtub was rather unsuitable for me. VILLA: Simply WOW! The entrance alone leaves you speechless. The private pool allows you countless undisturbed swims and offers a great ambience. The couch is super comfortable. The staff are simply wonderful. Not a day went by without the staff having a smile and a friendly word. The manager also maintains personal contact with the guests. The regular events (dance performance, making offerings, dance lessons, etc) completely immersed me in the culture. The beds are very comfortable. The food is excellent. The crew try hard to fulfill every wish.
Perhaps the breakfast menu could be changed from time to time. Tubs in the bedroom would be an advantage. However, everything was top notch and of a high standard. If you are looking for a quiet oasis of well-being in the middle of the jungle, far away from the hustle and bustle and exhaust fumes, you will find it at this hotel. Enjoy every moment, it's simply fantastic. A big thank you to the whole Dajuma Terrace team!

Verified reviewThis was a great resort deep in nature but very modern and comfortable. The staff were great! We enjoyed most of the dishes from the restaurant menu (a few were average). We were pleasantly surprised that there were no problems with insects despite this very rural setting. Comfortable bed, gorgeous views in all directions.
Just note that the property is off the beaten path. On the first day we discovered that no ride-hailing service would collect us from here. We hired the resort’s own driver for one day. Good value. Apart from that, we spent full days at the property. This property is best for those taking a break from other activities in Bali. We went to other properties for our touring and restaurant hopping. But so glad we started off here in the quiet rice fields.

Verified reviewDifficult to know where to start, the place is absolutely gorgeous, at the top of a rice field, with a beautiful swimming pool. The highlight was the breakfast, which is home made with local ingredients. The variety of options is wonderful (we tasted them all :-)

Verified reviewThe room is one with nature. I really like the surroundings, the paddy field, and the fresh air all the time. The bathroom is also cool with opening on top, fresh air all the time. There's an issue though but very minor. Bed, aircon, and other facilities are brand new, so, no complain at all. The breakfast is not a buffet and to me this is great. Means that the food is prepared for you and not contaminated by people's hand like in a buffet.
Was doing my morning routine in the toilet. All went well until a giant wasp enter the toilet. The situation was so tense, I cannot move because I was just started and this monster fly around like it's looking for a prey. There was a time when this miniature dragon from hell land on a plant just half a meter from me. The situation was stressful and things were back to normal after the devil leave the toilet.

Verified reviewThe view from the room was breathtaking, the room was splendid, the pools are beautiful and everything is clean, spacious and well designed ! The architecture of the restaurant is gorgeous and the food delicious (slight note for the brownies that were slightly dry but I'm picky because I am French) ! We also loved the cocktail selection. The Puri Dajuma facilities are by far the best place we stayed at in Bali. And the staff are both very helpful and very nice !
