How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Location was pretty good with only a 5/10 min walk to the main road but the smell around the property was pretty bad - I think there may be a horse yard nearby. And if you don’t like chickens then watch for the chickens all out on the road next to the property flitting about!
Our host Johnny was a total legend. Always happy to offer advice and organise anything you needed. Would greet you with a smile every morning and clearly worked really hard to run the property. Rooms were basic but clean, with great AC and good Wi-Fi. Each room had a little terrace with table and chairs to sit out and was unbelievable value.

The owner was quite pushy and made us a little uncomfortable, making inappropriate jokes.
The Bungalows are very nice and clean.

Not the cleanest- but you get what you pay for. A bin in the room would be nice

What a joke this place! We arrived there, was no room available for us, they asked us to go on another place from their family's hotel, same thing no room for us, so we had to go go to neighbours place but the room was not ready... and it was raining! What a bad organisation after walked in the mud of Gili T was a really bad and frustrating experience. At least we got refund total amount on cash by the owner but big lost of time and energy!

Avoid this place, this is a scam. The worst place in the island for sure. The water is salt water, not hot and my shower had literally 3 drops, First time I come out of the shower dirtier than when I went in. The owner or whoever is the guy in front start talking at 5 am on the phone, non stop, he is also very very rude. Lots of flies. I don’t know how this property is on booking, it doesn’t look like in the photo, totally different. Avoid it. My friends and I, called it “the hell”.

On arrival, before even entering the property, the owner started filming us on his phone for a couple of minutes without even asking permission, which made us feel quite uncomfortable. He then said to us to follow the guesthouse's Instagram page, which we checked and is full of videos of other guests. Quite a few of the guests clearly look uncomfortable being filmed and some even seem to have been filmed secretly. Thankfully we only booked one night and left straight away next morning. About the place, is very basic, old bedsheets and the toilet is brown inside (never been brushed) and quite stinky.
Location ok. Even though it is quite close to the mosque, you can barely hear the prayers.

The bathroom was kind of smelly when you turned the shower, tap or hand shower on.
Great value for money. Wifi was good as was AC. The room was clean and comfortable and Jhony was very friendly and helpful. The location is about 5 mins walk to the main street but many warungs around also.

Dusty. No hand soap. On the day ramadan began there was black out at 1AM, in the morning still no electricity and also no water. I checked out the place 11.45 AM and there was still no staff available in the hotel to solve those issues!!

The room was huge and the bathroom as well! Everything was clean and the AC and the WI-FI work perfectly!! Jhony is amazing, he's always there, ready to help you like a friend if you need something! The location is very good as well, it's close to everything but in a quiet area!! I absolute recommend it!

the air conditioning is not actually working. it’s only a unit installed on the wall but it’s only a fan!!! there’s no air conditioning! the room was very hot and it too ages to get cooler😣. in fact outside was cooler then inside the room during the night!
location was great and the room itself is very big. the guy who’s there was very helpful and welcoming.

Johny was a spectacular host. Never doubted to help and super kind. The place is very nice, big room, huge bathroom, air con, basically EVERYTHING you see in the pictures. Price/Quality is beyond expectations. Internet was VERY GOOD. Thanks so much Johny!
