Rooms could have been cleaner when we arrived but we like it rustic so this didn't impact our stay

It's a bit run down rooms, nothing too bad. There was a hole in my room and animals would come through, but mostly just geckos who don't do anything. It's a bit cheaper if you book more nights, and when I tried to extend my booking, they declined without a note. I then had to book a more expensive "1 night stay", which I felt was not really great customer service.

The staff was lovely, very sweet. The pool is great, with flowers and fruit trees around. There's a warm shower, towel provided. There's a "western" breakfast included, plain egg omelette or a pancake. There's also lots of breakfast options (and dinner) around the hotel which are very nice. It's easy to get something delivered and there's a space to eat. If you need something like help with simcard or massage booking or tips for the city they will happily help out. Though things like cupboards were very dusty, the important things like bed and bathroom were very clean.

It does feel like it could do with a bit of a ‘fresh coat of paint’. The room, especially the bath room, feels a bit run down and in need of a clean. Also, it’s not mentioned in the description but be prepared to share your room with a fairly large quantity of ants - in the bathroom, on the floor and in your bed. If you like ants this could be seen as a positive but if not you may feel slightly put off.

The location was fantastic. The property was a relaxing and calm place to stay with great restaurants in close proximity. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Breakfast, while basic, was a good start to the day.

There are small ants in the room, but it's just only a little bit inconvenient :-) it didn't bother us a lot.

Very nice place, outside the city centre, but very close. In the neighbourhood there is exchange bureau, supermarket and lots of eating places. Hosts are very friendly, can help with the travel arrangement. This is not a luxury place, but you feel very welcomed. The room was very big. Breakfasts are served 7-10, if you go out earlier you can get breakfast box.

The bathroom needs refurbishing, it was clean enough but worn out.

The hostel was very cute, a quiet little oasis, simple room, waking distance to restaurants and a short drive to attractions, walkable too if not for the heat. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The regular double rooms are a bit small but nice.

Great location, beautiful garden and pool. Very comfortable bed and bathroom in Deluxe room. The staff were very kind.it was my daughter’s birthday while we were there and they did so much to make the day special including buying a cake and decorating the room.

Tiny room full of bugs. Property is situated next door to a mosque; could have done without call to prayers blaring over loudspeaker every 5 am (and several more times a day). Entrance is down narrow alley that some drivers refuse to navigate.

Nice swimming pool and grounds. Staff very helpful and kind. A/C worked well. Huge plus was fresh coffee and tea all day.

It's not a place for people who don't like insects.

The staff was really friendly and I met a few friendly people (all European). The pool is very nice and they even offer space to work if necessary.

The personnel is definitely a great value of the spot. Always smiling, very kind, carying about the guests and their plans, and helpful. They have contacts with local drivers who can take you wherever you want for a whole day trip. The rooms are small but it is not a problem if you visit this part of Java for adventure and exploration. Breakfast are not of vast range, but omlets and pancakes as well as fruit were testy and sufficient.

Nothing to dislike!

The villa complex is a lovely cozy place with lush green plants and loads of animals like fish, frogs, geckos and two cute red cats. It’s very easy to reach Malioboro and other areas. Yet it is quiet (except when the morning prayer starts as it’s close to a mosque, but I think it adds to the character) The staff are very friendly and incredibly helpful, they assisted me with getting a last minute tour to the Borobudur and Prambanan temples and even prepared a little breakfast box because of the early pick up times. They love talking to the guests and exchanging stories. I really want to thank Lucy in particular for her efforts in getting me on that tour, she really went above and beyond! 🥰

Very nice place and lovely people. The room was clean and nice, also the lovely garden and the pool. The food was also very good. Would highly recommend asking for a traditional indonesien breakfast :-)

The room was a little small but had everything we needed, the bathroom was spacious and the shower really hot. For breakfast there were a lot of options and it was really tasty. We rented a scooter on 2 days and this was easy at the hotel (cheap and arranged fast). The swimming pool was nice to cool down and big enough. In front of the room there was a spot to chill. The personnel was friendly and even let us use the shower on the evening after check-out as we were taking a night train.

If we have to say something less positive about the room it has to be the amount of ants. This was not significant enough to make our stay less comfortable, but a (bath)room without ants would have turned the 9 into a 10.

Location, facilities and breakfast were great, but the most amazing was the super kind and friendly personnel. Lucy, Irvan and Duana were always there to greet us with a smile, help us with our questions or just have a nice chat. Thank you! We had an amazing time :)

The value for money is through the roof! The facilities are a bit outdated but the shower was warm and the pool was very nice. The staff is super kind and helpful. We did a batik workshop which was promoted and it was amazing. We did an early tour and they fixed the breakfast for us. The support was really sublime!
