Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaWhile I enjoyed my stay, I was a bit relieved to leave, for 2 reasons. #1 is the flies, which is a problem everywhere in Kintamani. They get in the way of enjoying the view, because you want to close your tent and then you can’t see it. And the only place to eat your meals is at your room - this means you are frantically trying to eat quickly as the flies swarm. I think the fly problem is somewhat seasonal (we stayed mid-April) so depending on the time of year they may not bother you. The other major problem is your choices for food. Their menu is limited to start and then they are out of half the things. There also isn’t really anywhere nearby to eat if you don’t have transportation (except Super Chicken (fried chicken ) which was decent). So for these reasons, I would recommend this place for a stay, but only for 1 night. After your morning volcano trip it’s best to move on. Also I should mention 1 more minor thing and that’s that it was fairly noisy at night with music and karaoke in the valley. It didn’t bother us and we slept great but if you’re a lighter sleeper it’s not ideal.
The view is amazing! The tent is set up really nice. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Good shower. The pool was chilly but sets a nice vibe for the space. The staff arranged a sunrise jeep tour to the volcano, lava and hot springs. The staff working at the resort was very friendly and helpful.

United Kingdom30 min drive from most areas we visited/restaurants and the centre. one of the reasons we booked was for the Floating Breakfast but when we asked for it we were told it was not possible to do it! Such a shame as I even messaged on WhatsApp before visiting to check they did it. Also very noisy on our first night. The family next door had a child making noise until late. Also karaoke/music from a place nearby with music until 12am. Ruined our first night!
Incredible views! Very friendly staff though didn’t speak much English. Room and pool very clean. The views are amazing and we would still recommend to visit however a few things djd ruin the stay.

IrelandIt was very difficult to get a Grab when you had to leave. Unfortunately we couldn’t get one and ended up paying over the odds for a taxi which was hailed from the receptionist.
The views from the camp were fantastic as it was on the edge of a cliff looking out onto Mount Batur.

AustraliaGreat location can’t believe the tent doesn’t have fly wire screens the flies are terrible and it destroys the trip being locked inside and can’t see view that’s the point of going up there disappointed a $100 fix hasn’t been carried out surely you’ve had other complaints about the flies

AustraliaStayed 2 amazing nights. This place is not near anything so you will be here for total relaxation. This is not hard as I could have stared at My Batur all day, which I I did from my private plunge pool, Deck chair or bed. You have basic facilities but it’s all you need. A simple yet very tasty breakfast is included. Staff are lovely and will do what they can to help. This place is definitely an experience as you will get a stunning sunrise, watch the tracking lights go up the mountain and look at the below farms. Please note that is you have trouble with stairs then you will struggle with going down to the camp from the road. Loved my time so much.

We had a great stay at Pinggan Luxury Camp, the view is absolutely amazing with a private pool to enjoy, the beds were so comfortable and big and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They also provided us with transport from Kintamani to Sanur. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

New ZealandWe had to keep the tent closed to keep the flies out, but this was understandable as the area does agriculture. The pool was also a bit chilly, so best enjoyed when it's sunny.
This was the accom with the best views and best service of all the accoms I stayed in Bali. The mountain views are stunning and getting to enjoy it during the day time, night time, sunrise, and sunset was a real treat. We did not get to see a full 'lautan awan' (sea of clouds) but saw almost full cloud cover. Initially, there was an issue with our reservation, but staff Mahdi and Setiawan were very helpful in sorting it out. Outstanding service in ensuring we had a comfortable stay and everything we needed. Mahdi was very considerate of our comfort and also gave halal restaurant recommendations and qibla. They also helped arrange a sunrise jeep tour+black lava visit. This was the highlight activity of our Bali trip! Our guide, Putu, knew all the good photo angles. He was also an all-around nice guy, saving the day restarting another Jeep. They were also very helpful in arranging the Trunyan boat tour afterwards. Thank you Mahdi, Setiawan, Putu, and all the staff. Would definitely stay again.
