Fluffy and Teresia are an amazing couple. They really care about their guest and their well-being. You can trust and rely on them eyes closed! We had the room with private bathroom: the bed was huge and really comfortable, everything was really clean. Also, they manage a kindergarten and they let us assist the first part of the teaching, which makes the experience even more positive. One last point, we had a sickness issue and they made everything possible to help us get better. That kind of hospitality is really rare.

It didn’t have tap water due to being dry season, but honestly didn’t make any difference. There was stored water and we also had some mineral water with us.

The hosts were amazing! They took us to a family celebration (50 years wedding anniversary) and it was a truly genuine experience 😊 everyone was so warm and welcomed. After that we had some tea and coffee at home together and talked for a while. I couldn’t have ask for a better night.

Fluffy, Theresa and their daughter Andrea are so kind and friendly. Their hospitality is insane and I would recommend everyone to stay at their house. If you want to know more about the culture and how Indonesian people live, than this is the place to be. We talked a lot about Indonesia and their passion to create a better future for the young kids.

Fluffy, Theresa, and Andrea are such a lovely and friendly family! They were very talkative and welcoming, and we felt truly at home during our stay. The home-cooked meals were absolutely delicious. Not only did they give us great travel tips, but when my friend had a flat tire on the motorbike, Fluffy even helped us find a repair shop and communicated with the owner. We’re really grateful for their kindness. Hope to come back again someday:)

Tersedia, Flavi and Andrea are a lovely family! We felt right at home, they invited us to take part of their daily life. We talked a lot and about very interesting subjects, we laughed, we ate together, we played card games with Andrea... We loved it so much that we decided to stay one more night and we would have stayed even more if we had the time! They host a school for children and teach after-school math & english, and they are very happy to let you take part to it. Thank you so much!

This homestay is lovely. Comfortable room with beautiful hosts. It was a little outside of town but we had a scooter so this was no problem for us. No shower but again no problem as hot water was kindly provided for bathing in the morning. I enjoyed breakfast and was grateful to have a different breakfast each day.

We spent Christmas in this wonderful homestay, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place! Fluffy, Theresa, and Andrea welcomed us like family – with warmth and kindness. Thanks to them, we truly felt the Christmas spirit, even though we were far from home. Unfortunately, I arrived in Ruteng feeling unwell, but the care we received from our hosts was simply incredible. Theresa took care of us like a real mother – preparing light meals, making sure we had everything we needed, and checking on us to help us recover quickly. Andrea and Fluffy were also very helpful and kind. This homestay is not just a place to sleep – it’s a home filled with warmth and care. We are deeply grateful for their hospitality and hope to return someday! If you’re looking for a place with soul and wonderful hosts, this is where you should stay. I really liked the couple that runned the homestay. They are lovely people with really good hearts. They gave us the best coffee from their own plantation and gave us a lot of tips for sight seeing around ruteng. These people are the reason I love homestays; you may have less luxury compared to a hotel, but you will have a far better experience in a homestay.

This is a wonderful place to spend the night in this cold and damp city. A nice family, where you feel as comfortable as possible. The owner and her daughter constantly offered coffee. The owner Fluffy entertained with conversations. All family speak English very good. There is no hot water in the shower, but the owners will make you as much boiling water as you need to be happy. The room is clean, bright, comfortable for two people, an excellent clean bathroom. We asked to have dinner at their house, for which the owner (for an additional fee of 40,000 rupees per person, which is more than comfortable) prepared a delicious and varied dinner. Breakfast was with coffee and very tasty local buns. I spent a great night in a family that loves their business and their home. The house is far from the center, which is good - it is clean, quiet and there is no noise from cars. This is one of my best stays in Indonesia. I sincerely recommend it if you find yourself in Ruteng.
