Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomA bit dated, pools could do with a clean.
A cheap enough stay - get what you pay for so we were happy! It was central but away from the business, nice pools. Rooms are big, cleaned daily, breakfast was fine.

UkraineThe room was not new, but we had amazing view, so the room's shortcomings didn't matter
Good location, beautiful territory of the hotel (with jungle). When I booked the room I asked room on the second floor with pool view and I received it, than you for this.

United KingdomThe steps down to the jogolo, it’s very steep and takes a really long time to get up and there’s no lightning so quite dangerous. The room wasn’t the cleanest. There was dust in all the corners, and the shower cubicle has black mould on it. The shower leaked, all over the floor. The mirrors had dirty marks on them. The sheets and pillows were old and yellowing and had holes in and really need replacing. I used a sarong over the pillow. There’s a huge cap in the balcony door. We ordered lunch to be brought down to the tables when we were using the pool one day and it took 1.5 hrs to arrive. We rang twice to chase it, they’d obviously forgotten our order, then when we brought it up at check out we were told we were lying at first before they agreed it did happen and gave us 20% off.
It was located right over the infinity pool, bathroom in jogolo was huge. The staff at breakfast were brilliant.

GreeceThe room didn’t water for two days even if we inform reception two times nothing happen. The room was in poor condition ( the balcony didn’t closed properly , main door had big openings between the wood boards) for a room which is located in that kind of area is critical to have good isolation from the outside (bugs and insects)
Amazing location, swimming pool was very clean and nice and stuff was very helpful and kind.

CanadaWe were situated on the bottom floor. I should have asked to move to an upper level. An Australian couple kept fighting in the room beside us. Breakfast never varied.
The pools were absolutely beautiful. They took my breath away. We could walk to monkey forrest. Was walking distance to many restaurants.

AustraliaMaintenance needed, old and tired. Shower door didn’t seal properly so after every shower the bathroom was flooded.
Our bungalow position looking over the pool. I counted 103 steps from our bungalow up to the front foyer/dining room so obviously not for everyone. We got a visit from some monkeys one day who entertained us. Breakfast each morning was lovely.

United KingdomWe asked for a twin room but ended up with a double room. Couldn't change until the following morning.. Breakfast portions were small and limited choice. They could have added more bacon. Also. maybe offer some beans or sausages. Need bigger glasses for the juice

United KingdomWe stayed in Ubud for 4 nights and would recommend this place to everyone. We arrived late on our first night in the middle of a rain storm and the staff were great at getting us to our rooms. After the first night we decided to upgrade to the wooden bungalows overlooking the lower pool as they are amazing. The staff were brilliant, the breakfast excellent and the location was spot on - close enough to the hustle and bustle but yet so quiet. We even did our own yoga session down by the pool. This place is also great for spotting wildlife. We saw monkeys by the pool, lizards in the grounds and frogs on the balcony. What a lovely place.

PhilippinesCleanliness of the room - especially the bed and pillows. - Bed and pillows stressed me out. Pillows and sheets smells musty. I removed the pillow case and the pillow is stained, with yellow stains and mold spores. I had to change and use my own pillowcase. I have asked to replace the pillows, but all they did was change the pillowcase, or if they changed the pillows, all were stained and not fresh at all. - Bathroom - spacious bathroom, with bath tub and toilet has bidet. Had tub drain issue throughout my stay. They tried to fix on the first day but it recurred - slow drain. Floor tiles are stained. Bathroom needs deep-cleaning.
I am a solo traveler and this is my first time staying in Pertiwi Bisma 1, have stayed a few years back in Pertiwi Bisma 2. - Room: Room is definitely spacious and can fit a family of 3 or even 4, good private balcony. My room was nearby a fountain with garden view, the water sound is soothing. It is a green place, lots of trees, plants and birds chirping. - Property: Property and area is one the best and the primary reason I'm giving a rating of 7 and not lower. This is definitely an awesome property at the heart of Central Ubud along Bisma. The garden and pools are gorgeous and well-maintained (I see gardeners tend to the plants every morning). 1st pool has a garden view, second pool's view is the Ubud rainforest - both are infinity pools. It is a quiet property and encourages all guests to be quiet/keep noise to a minimum. - Lighting: Warm lighting and there are bedside lamps. - Refrigerator and air conditioner cools well. TV with cable but I'm not really a TV-user when on holiday. Wifi in the evening is intermittent - Location: Best location for me as this is center of downtown Ubud. Can just walk along Bisma and around the Jl Raya Ubud and Monkey Forest, nearby restos/cafes, spas along the major roads. It is a touristy and vibrant area, but within the property is peaceful and quiet. - Housekeeping/cleaning is everyday. Daily housekeeping is ideal, I suggest though staff pay attention to the details of the room and keeping surfaces and every corner clean and dusted.

United KingdomThe bathrooms need an upgrade. We booked a tour to Mt Batur through the hotel and paid premium but it wasn’t as good as the tours offered elsewhere. We had a lovely guide but no breakfast served at the top of the mountain or hot drinks included which is what others had. The driver insisted we stop for tea which meant we we would be late for sunrise ( I said we didn’t want to stop) so he got us a packed breakfast which was awful. Don’t recommend this driver (Gday).
We had a lovely stay in this hotel, the views are really great!
