I didn't like that it's so neglected because they have an incredible place, but being so neglected doesn't give a good impression. They could improve the lighting, remove damaged items, and maintain the social area. They could organize the entrance area as a co-working space so that travelers can sit and work. Good scents.

It has an excellent location and a very spacious area, the beds are comfortable, I was able to rest, it was a good stay.

The location was good, this is in a nearby city area and within walking distance to monkey forest. I missed my mobile charger there and the next day when i went to pick it was placed at the same socket.

Being accused of not paying even after showing the woman staff/owner that I had and explaining that booking.com take 24hrs to process payments probably.

Leaving the angry female owner who accused me of not paying even when I showed her my paid receipt form from booking.com. She then made me pay her in cash.

The bed was dirty overall. The bed sheets were not washed or replaced after I left; they were just tidied up. I could see the same stains on the sheets when I went to pick up my luggage right after checking out.

Everything else. It’s the worst place I ve stayed in my entire travel career(70 countries) dirty, smells like toilet. They don’t provide toilet paper nor soap for handwashing . Staff or owners not nice. Their house is a full mess cats . If you can avoid the location it’s one of the worse I ever stayed. Too sad as the house is a true gem but would need a lot of cleaning and renovations

Pillows were the dirtiest I’ve ever seen, I asked for any other and they were all dirty too!! No toilet roll, feel so I’ll from staying there. Rude staff. the most unhygienic place over ever stayed in my life. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

The beds were rock hard. Room was dirty, pillows had mold on them. One of the beds had red ants in meaning my friend was bitten excessively night one. The bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years, staining in bath, toilet, sink etc. Toilet seat broken. No bin provided in room. One man was pleasant to us, all other ‘staff’? just looked at us oddly and blankly stared if we asked a question, seemed to just be his family. Felt very unwelcoming.

I never found the hostel. That’s not the right address and I tried to call and the number doesn’t exist. I still don’t have any answers, no from the hostel and nothing from this app. Horrible experience

I have never written a negative comment before but I feel this was so bad others need to know what they are paying for. Our room was dirty, especially the bed sheets and all of the pillows - so much so that my partner woke up with a rash in the morning. The fly sheet attached to the bed was filthy and full of holes with a massive stain right above our heads, and there were numerous stains all over the cushions. The bathroom was large but again, not the cleanest and there were absolutely no amenities provided - no soap or showergel, we even ran out of toilet roll and we only stayed one night! No wifi details were provided even though this was listed in our booking and upon arrival we were told breakfast would come at an additional cost even though this was also meant to be included, which led to some frosty reception from the host who did not warm up during our stay. We decided to have breakfast out anyway as we caught a glimpse of the kitchen which was also filthy and was full of rubbish beneath the counters. Finally, the building on a whole is very old so although there are some amazing artworks and engraving within the architecture, all of the areas are so ill maintained that when we hung our clothes out to dry on the drying rails provided on our balcony, they were all stained the next morning by a mysterious substance that leaked from the roof (it hadn’t rained). We took them to a laundry service the next day and the stains still haven’t come out which has ruined some expensive items of clothing. We got a 50% discount for this booking and it was still expensive compared to other places we’ve stayed in Bali and other value stays in the area - we were severely ripped off and would score lower than 1.0 if we could. I really hope management will read this, with some deep cleaning and minor maintenance the property could be incredible.

The only redeeming part about this stay was the location which is extremely central to Ubud but surprisingly quiet the minute you turn onto the side road.
