Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaCoffee options - the machine was broken so we only had the option of black instant coffee. To other travelers - don't be put off by other comments regarding the mosque - yes, the praying starts at 4:30am, and it is noticeable, but it's not unbearable.
Amazing scenery!! Well located amongst local villages, and perfect for day trips to the monkey forest, hikes and waterfalls.

NetherlandsThe mosque is really close by, and there are many more in the area, and the room doesn't keep out any of the sound. So the sound keeps you awake at night. But I expect this to be a problem anywhere in (especially the inland) of lombok. The staff hardly speak any English, making it very hard to communicate anything you want/need. They don't have any sort of training in hospitality. The room misses a lot of the finishing touches to make it really nice and comfortable. Like electrical outlets near the bed (are there but used for the lights), no fridge, there's no cohesive decor to make it cozy. At this price point, I do start expecting these things.
Beautiful location looking out over the rice fields. If you turn left leaving the accommodation, you walk straight into the beautiful rice fields. The staff are very friendly and try their best.

Germany2 things they could improve on: Having liquid soap and shampoo in the bathrooms. Having an option to refill water bottles instead of using plastic bottles.
Amazing location within the rice fields. Very kind and helpful staff. A great way to relax and enjoy the scenery, close to the monkey forest and various waterfalls. Scooter can be rented for 100k per day.

AustraliaThe bathroom could be improved. Breakfast was quite salty on occasion. Wifi did not work the final day of our stay. The nearby mosque is very loud and disrupts your sleep. Final prayer call happens at night around 8PM and continues for at least half an hour, and the first call in the morning happens at 4:30AM for an hour. During the day there are also 3 further calls that occur (total 5 calls, and no ear plugs can block out). We would recommend noise cancelling headphones for those who are light sleepers. Or simply an early bed time.
The staff were accomodating whenever asked questions, or if we requested anything. The views were incredible from the bungalows, very peaceful and scenic. The actual bungalows themselves were spacious and self-sufficient with keypad locks and comfortable bedding. The location was but a short drive from rice paddy farms that surrounded. Also a mere 20 minute drive on a Scooter to reach some of the main waterfall locations.

BelgiumAccommodations less comfortable than expected based on pictures. No upfront communication with owners, little impersonal. Food is basic.
Probably one of the best places to stay near Tetebatu, with the beautiful ricefields. Perfect to visit with sccoters provided by the accommodation (best scooters of Lombok holiday)

SloveniaThe staff had trouble speaking English, the food choices were very limited. But most of all there is a mosque right next to the place, the prayers start at 0430AM and continue until 0600AM. Impossible to sleep.
The views are beautiful, the room was clean, the staff seem to be in a good mood.

CanadaA bit loud in the early morning due to kindergarden, rooster and the many mosque in the area. I guess its part of Peraja’s charm…

GermanyThe food options are a bit limited. No negative, but just something to consider: As the place is in a Muslim community you will hear the call to prayer many times, also in the very early morning. The mosque is very close by.
The place is set in beautiful surroundings of rice fields where you can get a glimpse into the everyday life. The staff was very friendly (don‘t be shy to ask if you want your room cleaned, have dinner in your terrace, join the public pool etc).

United KingdomAlmost everything was perfect but as I mentioned above it was a challenge to communicate with the staff as they did not speak good English. They also did not tell us that we had to pay extra for a juice with our breakfast - it was ok and the price was good but it would be nice to know in advance to be aware of additional costs. We stayed in this place during Ramadan time so there were no food options but we understand that normally it is much easier to get some food there. The room could also use some small fridge :)
This was one of the best stays we had in Lombok - the place is small and quiet, surrounded by beautiful rice fields. Our bungalow was new and they were installing the air con in it when we arrived. We booked a room but loved the bungalow and they allowed us to change the room type without any extra charges. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice sitting area on a terrace in the front with stunning view. The staff was very nice but almost nobody spoke English - we speak a bit of Indonesian and with the help of the translator we were able to communicate with them :) but it was a challenge. The wifi was really good in this accommodation. And it is managed by a lovely people who made us feel like home! We spent some amazing time there and even stayed one night longer than we initially planned :) This area is non touristic at all which we appreciated but we had some challenges in terms of communicating with local people and finding place to eat. Scooter is very helpful when you stay in this area which we could rent in the property for a good price. Please also bear in mind that Lombok is a Muslim country and there are mosques everywhere. This place is surrounded by them and as we were there in Ramadan time we did not get much sleep. It was very loud until late at night and they start prayers very early. This is a case in whole Lombok, not only in this place so we accepted it as we were guests in this island.

GermanyThere is some room for improvements. We would have preferred an AC and mosquitoes nets in the room, the restaurant’s menu was in Indonesian only and with a relatively limited selection and communication with most of the other staff was difficult at times, though some of them certainly made an effort. Furthermore, a shuttle service from the port or airport would have been helpful, or at least an indication what a reasonable price would be. All in all, we found the price relatively steep for what it is, but then Zul and his family really outdid themselves and gave us a very unique experience. Without him or hadn’t we been the only guest, things might have been different.
The bungalow room, private pool and breakfast spot with a view onto the rice fields are one of a kind, especially since we were the only guests there. Most notable, though, was Zul who was very welcoming, showed us around the rice fields and even invited us to his family’s fast-breaking during Ramadan. That was an unforgettable experience and made the stay well worth it.

GermanyThe breakfast does need some serious improvement. My mie goreng just came with seasoning, it didn't contain a single vegetable and not even egg. The toast was just plain, with no spread at all, the fruit plate just dragon fruit. So it feels out of harmony with the rest. Additionally, an english translation of the menue would be helpful.
Peraja Bungalows are beautifully set among rice fields and close to a small village. The rooms with kettle, tea equipment and a good shower are bright and cosy. The beds are big with a very comfortable mattrass. The compound is very new and everything is in a very good condition. The pool ist very refreshing. There are many tour options and always someone is around to offer activities, if you are up for that. The swing and having breakfast with a view over Mount Rinjani and the rice terrace was also very nice.
