This property is located on the north of the island which has beautiful sunsets. The staff are super friendly and made us feel so special. The owner of the property is on site and his family made us feel so welcome! We absolutely loved our stay here.

Very „poor” breakfast- worst we had in 3 weeks in Indonesia. Some bits in rooms need refreshing.

Great helpful and always smily personel. Localization. Very comfy beds. Manager who does everything to make your stay great. We had great time there, we miss our gili home already ( but not the breakfast).

The only downside, in our opinion, was the bathroom. That’s the only reason we didn’t give 5 stars. While the architecture is charming, with stone and wood details, there’s a persistent strong smell in the bathroom. We reported it, and the staff kindly tried using an ozone machine, but unfortunately, it didn’t help much. We believe the bathroom needs a proper renovation. Another minor issue is that the hot water runs out very quickly. Despite these inconveniences, we still highly recommend this hotel and would love to come back one day!

We had a truly wonderful experience at this hotel — from the warm welcome at the beginning to the very end of our stay. Putu and the entire staff were incredibly kind, fun, and helped us with absolutely everything. On our last day, we had an issue with the horse cart that was supposed to take us to the harbor — we were super late and would have missed our boat if it wasn’t for their help. They went above and beyond for us! The property itself is lovely, and in just a few steps from the room, you reach a quiet and beautiful beach. The restaurant is also very good, especially the grilled fish they serve in the afternoon — absolutely delicious.

The breakfast was not buffet-style, which was a bit disappointing for me. I personally prefer a buffet breakfast, as it offers more variety and flexibility in choosing what to eat.

The location is excellent, the beach is stunning, and the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful.

Bit dissapointed our room wasn't cleaned once during our 3 night stay.outdoor shower and toilet is cute but not so much when it rains and with giant mosquitoes.

Not much. The food (apart from breakfast) wasn’t exceptional but there are plenty of other places to eat if you need to.

It’s in a great location, on a beach that is just dreamy. Clear water, white sand. They had live music nights which were a lot of fun. The artist had an exceptional voice, sang many different genres and put on a 100% show. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were cheerful and attentive. Our little room/hut was cute. Slightly older than the pictures look but to be honest it was absolutely fine for us

We had a beachfront room. It was somewhat as pictured…just add a few decades of wear and tear with no upkeep! It was pretty noisy on a nightly basis between the live cover band and the neighboring bar- can be fun if you are out or annoying if you’re staying in. They were adjusting pricing while we were there, so prices for drinks literally changed over night, and we were charged the ‘new’ prices for the minibar instead of what was listed in the room.

The location on the north side of the island is perfect! You can see both sunrise and sunset from this picturesque beach. The sunsets on the beach were spectacular, and it’s a short walk to snorkeling spots and restaurants. The staff are friendly and the onsite bar was convenient.

The back exit path, around the staff quarters, could be cleared up of the hotel rubbish and be recyled. Clear signposting in town to Pelangi Cottages from the main road. The bathrooms could use a sign on the wall to not put paper in the toilet -“The sewage system in Gili Air is sensitve. Please put all paper in the rubbish bins provided. The paper will be collected and burned every day.” If guests bring children they should be allowed to use the pool.

The whole team of staff worked seamlessly together. Always friendly, respectful, calm, helpful, always went the extra mile. Made our stay so enjoyable. The evening music sessions on four of our eight nights was magical and dancing was fun, even in the pouring rain! Food was interesting, delicious, varied. Place, beach and sea was very clean. No plastic in the sea. Some sea lice/jelly fish so used the lovely pool.

very very poor breakfast. small portion sizes and not nutrional at all. you can choose between 3 options which are basically all eggs with bread. very poorf coffee and super sweet and artifical tasting orange juice. we saw on hte lunch menu, they offer great healthy bowls and fresh mpresesd amazing fruit juices and smoothies (you have to pay extra for them), so they can do great food... so why not offer your guests a better, more nutrional breakfast? only on the 4th day they offered to clean our room.

Could sometimes hear bar music inside our room during day and a more chilled vibe in the daytime would have encouraged us to stay put - we ended up spending day at other places close by instead.

Great food, evening music good, pretty setting when the water comes in. Saw turtles easily. Lots of local shops and restaurants and generally a relaxed vibe across the island.

The place feels a bit run down and would benefit from some TLC and improved maintenance. WiFi in my room was spotty, aircon leaking water and not cooling, but was promptly fixed.

We loved everything about Pelangi Cottages!

The staff were fun,friendly, and accommodating and decorated our room for my birthday, which was a nice touch! The food is great, in particular the fresh seafood grilled on the beach in the evening. Gorgeous beachfront location—the perfect spot to view sunsets. Nice pool. Spacious rooms. Fun live music three nights a week. Overall, a chill vibe and super place to relax. Props to owners Ahmed and Ozge and manager Putu and all the many staff for creating the perfect tropical island paradise!

The air conditioning was a bit loud and didn't work well enough during the day. The music can be loud sometimes.

Nice cottages by the beach. They've got kayaks and paddleboards, and it's close to the turtle spot. Very helpful staff. Great spacious shower with hot water. Good restaurant, love their Turkish food menu. In the evening, there's live music every other day until 10-10.30pm (but be aware that you can hear it in most rooms)

Bugs everywhere but this is the whole island.

The best place we have stayed in Indonesia. The staff make the place a million times better. Every person we met was so lovely. They helped us with snorkelling gear, finding turtles and walked to hire us bikes. We will be back!
