Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaHad a great stay in the Superior Double Room. Nathalie was prompt with responding and Way Location suited me as it was away from the hectic Ubud chaos but easily assessable via transport or a walk through the Camphuan Ridge Trail.

We stayed here for 2 nights, and we absolutely loved both the room. Instructions and recommendations are well documented on their website, and access to these pages are nicely laid out on a paper with different QR codes. The service staff are helpful, efficient and friendly. The location of this place is perfect for us; we could easily walk to campuhan ridge and the main Ubud street, there are many warungs near us for meals, and traffic is not as crazy as the main street at Ubud. Nathalie is a superhost - extremely helpful and responsive, just let her know what your concerns are and she will sort them out immediately. A pity we didn't get the chance to meet her. We will definitely be back next time if we come to Ubud again!

AustraliaIn need of some maintenance, the walls were mouldy and there was a mouldy smell / humidity in the room, we got locked in the room as the door locked itself but they helped us out really fast. Towels had stains on them, really would need upgrading.
Lovely helpful hosts, nice quiet area, pretty decoration

AustraliaUnfortunately the owners were not there so that may have made a difference. We had to pay in advance at time of booking. We used dishes on the first day and they were not taken away or replaced even though we had nowhere to wash them. The drinking water had something floating in it and we had to purchase water somewhere else. The towels were very scratchy. No toiletries provided apart from a very small soap. The pool was only half full and wasn’t topped up until the day we were leaving. No towels for the pool. Limited eating options nearby and none at the property.
Quiet area. Rooms were a good size.

SlovakiaUnfortunately, we were under the impression due to the description on booking.com as well as the relatively high price point, that we would be a private villa. This assumption led us to opt for this villa over more affordable options that explicitly shared villas with a single other tenant. Unfortunately, the villa is actually shared with multiple groups. We could have asked before hand, but we think it’s important that people who are interested in booking know and this detail should be made more transparent prior to booking. Furthermore, the room we booked (which was the only one available at the time) was by far the smallest in the villa and was noticeably cramped for two people. There is not much privacy from the outside, even with the curtains drawn. The door to our room did not shut properly at the bottom, which allowed for columns of ants and other insects to crawl in and out freely, which was a little unfortunate. This was not only an inconvenience but also impacted the efficiency of the air conditioning.
We’d stayed at this villa for around one week. The staff were incredibly helpful and text us a lot of useful information that we used for our stay. The location of the villa is good and almost all touristy destinations in Ubud, such as temples and waterfalls, are within biking distance via service like Grab and Gojek. The room was also extremely tidy and was cleaned everyday, as well as the outside areas. The staff we met were incredibly friendly, and always said hello to us when we came back from a trip. The outside seating areas in a kitchen and an outside living space are a nice place to chill and eat in the evenings.
