Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe location was perfect for my next accommodation, I only had 1 night there but I could have stayed longer. The view and room were lovely. The staff were very kind and let me have a later checkout and even drove me to my yoga retreat about 5 mins away, they went above and beyond, it was greatly appreciated.

As lovely as it can get. We definitly come back again! Mr. Putu on Nr. 1! If you need any adventure? He will organize it for you. There a a big amount of restaurants around the lodge. As I said in the beginning. Perfect!

Everything is perfect, I have stayed here for the second time and it is one of the best places around Ubud. The bungalow's are big and spacious with their own kitchen if that is relevant, the breakfast is very good, it is clean and tidy, the whole area is very well maintained. And most importantly it is very quiet compared to the crowded Ubud

FranceIt’s a quiet retreat, a bit outside the city center, which makes it perfect if you’re looking to escape the noise and enjoy some calm. Sometimes had to wait long time to find a car to go back.
The place offers a stunning view of the rice fields, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful—he went out of his way to help us organize a day tour, which made our experience even better.

IndiaIt's away from Ubud's center, the drive up there is nice. It's peaceful, beautiful and has a vibe in itself. The owners are very helpful. If you ask they can arrange for a taxi and house call massage.

United KingdomWe had an incredible one month stay at Paraiso, and we can’t recommend this property enough. The rooms are spacious, immaculately clean and modern. The pool area is just beautiful, and is consistently well maintained with comfortable loungers. It is located a short ten minute drive from central Ubud, and with a range of wonderful restaurants nearby it is a lovely escape from the noise and bustle of the town. The best thing about the property, however, is the staff - they took such wonderful care of us during our stay, providing us with a delicious breakfast every morning, turning down our room daily and always being smily and chatty. We can’t wait to return one day - thank you, Paraiso!❤️

United StatesI didn’t mind but gecko poop are common inside ( it is Bali) but with the excellent daily cleaning you have a few hours enjoy the clean floor before the gecko drops again .. i think a mosquito net would be beneficial above the bed. If you get a loud neighbor you will hear everything. The kitchen needs some update. But that maybe this apply only on my unit, mine was the moonlight cottage. ( the best spot) .
The property is located directly at the rice field. You can watch spectacular sunset or sunrise from the pool or from the cottage balcony. The property is easy to access with car or scooter. Putu makes you feel home and going above and beyond to make your stay perfect.Rooms are daily cleaned, sheets changed weekly, but if you ask for new towels no problem they will change it. Garden is well manicured , overall it is very well managed property with super friendly staff.

AustraliaThe room is shared with geckos whose small poops you may find around the place, but it's really not that bad, and they clean the room every day. A couple of stains on the sheets and towels but they were definitely clean.
Really nice little homestay run by a lovely family. Putu is funny and good to talk to and his brother who mostly helps with the cleaning etc. is very lovely and so helpful, always cleaning. The room is spacious with A/C and a tall roof. The pool is really really nice with a great view of rice terraces. The location is good, but to get to Ubud central you need a bike or get grab (5-10 mins), Putu helped us rent bikes which were delivered to the hotel and brand new. The value for money really is excellent. The breakfast is okay. There are some really nice local warungs a couple of minutes walk away I would really recommend. Also a cooking class only 2 minute walk away was a highlight of our trip to Bali. And the bed was so comfortable.

United KingdomIt was a little remote if you didn't have transport. But, there are plenty of places to eat near by which was great.
The staff were fabulous! The pool was brilliant and the peace and quiet was just what we wanted. The staff were very helpful in organising a trip out for us, which was great. Breakfast was a great start to the day, but, we really enjoyed the "floating breakfast". It was special...Thanks to everyone for our fab stay!

SloveniaThe owner of the property was really nice - he helped us with everything we needed, also lent us a scooter. He prepared us breakfast in the pool which was really delicious and was so kind during our stay. The cottages are in the middle of rice fields so you get a beautiful view during sunset. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

GermanyA mosquito net over the bed would have been great, other than that everything was great
The cottages are located right within the rise fields approx. 10 min car/scooter ride outside of Ubud. The garden is very pretty and it is especially quite at night which was great for us. The furniture is simple, but there is everything you need (including a small kitchen with a gas stove). The whole team, especially Phuto, was very kind and helpful. If you like, they help you organize a driver or tour guide. The breakfast was very good (the banana pancakes were actually amazing!) and it is served right in front of your bungalow on your terrace. Overall, we had a great time here and recommend this place for everyone that prefers a more quite place with less traffic compared to busy Ubud. Also there are multiple good warungs in walking distance (2-10 min).

United KingdomHowever, I wouldn’t recommend it for families. During my stay, there were constant issues- the hot water was unreliable, the gas wasn’t working, and breakfast was very poor. The biggest downside was the behaviour of the manager. He was pushy, money-driven, and arrogant, which made the whole experience unpleasant. After I politely requested a few changes to my booking, he began muttering and cursing in the local language, which felt completely unprofessional and ruined my stay. Overall, the location is fine, but the poor facilities and unacceptable management attitude made it a stay I wouldn’t repeat
The property is in a decent condition and located fairly close to Ubud centre, so it’s convenient for solo travellers or those without kids.
