Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainWe had a very pleasant stay at Palm House Boutique Hotel. We would especially like to highlight Panri, who helped us at all times with advice, recommendations, and everything we needed to know about the place – he truly made the difference! The rest of the staff were also very kind and attentive, always ready to help. The rooms are simple but cozy, and the garden is really beautiful and a great spot to relax. It’s clear they are still working on adding more details to the hotel, but the warmth of the people already makes the experience very special. Highly recommended, we would definitely come back.

AustraliaEntrance was pretty hard to find but other than that all good.
It was really good. Clean, Modern and simple. You definitely need a bike or a car if you were to stay there but if you do it's nice to be out of the hustle and bustle. Mosque volume was not an issue so all good for us.

NetherlandsThe glass door in the bathroom. I banged into the glass door twice. Once at day time and once at night, because it’s a clear glass door and you don’t see it’s glass, it’s very clean. I asked them to put a strip on the glass or something but I kind of felt like ignored. I hot the impressión that staff didn’t give a shit.
Spacious room, I had a very good sleep here

LatviaBig pool did not work. A bit dirty all around. Broken glass window in our room. Location good if you have roller.
Great garden, pool and shared places, but unfortunately everything is under construction. Owner said should be ready in month. Should be great then. Now I like the idea of all of that. New road to hotel, very good! :)

FijiThis is not the venue's fault but the road going in and out was very muddy. The owner said the council was planning to fix the road soon. If there's not much rain it wouldn't be so bad.
The room was very comfortable. It was modern and clean. The staff that worked there were nice. It's quiet.

GermanyThe room was not in good maintenance. The door didn’t open and close fully and had a big crack in the glass. The wall on the bedside was moldy and the colour came off and the dirt from the walls was lying all around the bed..
It was in a quiet location but still central. The room was spacious and the facility actually. However, due to rainy season we couldn’t use any of the outdoor facilities

I had a fantastic stay at Palmhouse Boutique Hotel! Down a quiet path in the city but away from the noise with a very friendly hotel dog who always greeted me upon entering the hotel. I arrived on a Friday to a BBQ & pool party which the host does every so often. Which was a great way to start my trip and to meet new people. Being new to Kuta, Lombok, I asked the staff (Dedi & Mr Dayat) for recommendations and was able to hire a bike. They gave suggestions to good restaurants, scenery and local hidden gems! They also helped facilitate excursions (surfing, morning fishing trips, etc), which wasn't advertised, so no pushy sales tactics, but I'm very glad i asked Dedi & Mr Dayat. I would stay again and highly recommend to new visitors for short or long stays.

Polandthe road from the main street to the property is not finished so it can be a bit more difficult to drive after heavy rain
The rooms are clean and the staff is super nice! I was worried it will be noisy during the day as there is a lot of construction around the property, but it was very quiet, away from the busy city center. And they have a cute doggo running around and ready to play with you at any time :)

United KingdomThat we had to leave...
After a mishap with a different hotel the previous night, we were tired and stressed out but arriving at the Palmhouse boutique hotel quite literally melted our worries away. The fact that parking was available was a God send! There was a sweet, friendly little dog that greeted us as we walked to reception, the check-in staff were very welcoming and to our pleasant surprise our room was already ready when we arrived. First impressions, the room was spacious, light and airy with a minimalist bohemian chic vibe. Everything was clean, I make a point to inspect sheets and bathrooms before I unpack and everything was spotless, not a stranger's hair in sight! I loved the smell of fresh laundry lingering after me and my partner sank into the most comfortable bed i think we've ever slept on, we actually fell asleep for an hour! After a quick shower, (shower gel smelt divine by the way!) we went out to the pool area to relax a little before heading out for brunch and again after dinner. The pool and surrounding areas were clean and well kept, the beautiful big tree and greenery meant that we got some stunning photos! The water was refreshing, calm and exactly what we needed to reset our minds and bodies. Kuta beach was actually really close by bike and we loved that we weren't restricted for cheap food options with town a short ride away. I was worried as some people mentioned there is some construction nearby, but as avid travellers, this is always a good sign to us that an area is up and coming! We had an amazing night's rest and didn't hear a thing. They had a couple of additional rooms on the other side where they were just finishing painting and I only saw when we were leaving, honestly they must have been as quiet as mice! Happily, we weren't disturbed at all! The staff made our experience fabulous and the property exceeded our expectations in every way. Thankyou for a memorable stay, i only wish we knew and had booked longer...

AustriaIt was an absolute joke- it was not worth the money at all. First of all, it still was a construction site when we got there, so you also had the construction noise all the time. The pool was extremely dirty, so I would not recommend to anybody to go for a swim there. The toilet seat was broken, the curtains are not fixed so everything you want to move them, everything fell apart. No hot water in the shower and the door to the bathroom does not close. Also the staff is really awkward, we had the curtains closed all the time because they were staring at us when we were in the room (we were there because we had to stay longer in Kuta because we got really sick and needed a place to stay). And to top it all off, the booking said „breakfast included“ but we got a message by the owner saying he is sorry but they don’t have breakfast at the moment because they are still looking for a chef. It’s all understandable that this hotel is not finished yet and has a lot of work that has to be done there, but it’s a joke to rent the place as a five star boutique hotel when it’s not even worth a penny.
The place will be nice, once it will be finished
