Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Hotel and staff were truly exceptional. A genuine 5* plus experience. Beautiful building and grounds, staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, and were very professional ( for example after the first day they remembered / knew exactly what our respective breakfast preferences were). It would be unfair to single any one member of staff out as every single person we encountered was so helpful and friendly. Location was fab and views from the lounge and the fabulous pool and rooms looking out over the jungle was stunning. Would absolutely recommend staying at this hotel

GreeceThe only downside was that we had only 5 nights to spend there. More than a week would have been perfect.
Padma Resort Ubud is, simply put, the best resort I have ever been to. The hotel grounds are huge and located in a lush jungle river valley. Common areas include (among others) an amazing pool with a sunken pool bar, a bamboo nest used for yoga classes and private dinners, a well-equipped gym, two very nice restaurants, a cocktail lounge bar, an incredibly atmospheric spa, a very nicely arranged garden with an animal farm, archery and golfing facitilies and a trully unique track going around the hotel and into the jungle itself. All of these places have been designed very carefully to provide both aesthetic appeal and functionality. Views are breathtaking wherever you go. The array of activities provided is simply impressive. The hotel has something for everyone. The rooms are very elegant, spacious and comfy. The cleanliness was impeccable. The food everywhere in the hotel was really good. The cocktails were masterfully crafted and the wine list was good as well. All these however, were relatively insignificant compared to the true highlight, which was the amazing staff. All of the people we met there were beyond kind, extremely helpful, always with a smile, they went the extra mile to provide us with the best experience possible and their demeanour was what made our day, every day. We would like to thank them all for these days. We were genuinely sad to leave and we hope to return some day, even though we live half the world away. To sum up, if you are looking for the perfect place to relax in the beautiful island of Bali, and you have a little extra holiday money to spare, look no further. Padma Ubud will probably be the best place you have ever been.

QatarAs for a couple of minor points: the breakfast could have been more diverse, especially with some Mediterranean options that many guests might find familiar and enjoyable. It was still good, but a bit more variety would have been a welcome touch. Also, the bed mattress was a bit too soft for my preference. As someone who has occasional back pain, I found it less than ideal, though still acceptable for a few nights. That said, none of these things took away from the overall experience. I left feeling refreshed, grateful, and eager to return.
A Perfect Retreat in the Heart of Nature I loved every part of my stay at Padma Resort Ubud. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and offer breathtaking views of the surrounding greenery. Housekeeping services were provided twice a day, which kept everything spotless and comfortable. The staff are incredibly warm, helpful, and truly go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The level of hospitality is exceptional from check-in to departure, everything felt seamless and personalized. What makes this place truly special is the lush greenery that surrounds the entire resort. It has such a positive effect on your mood and makes the whole experience incredibly peaceful. The infinity pool is stunning and always calm, perfect for relaxing or enjoying the view. The spa was a highlight of my stay beautifully designed, serene, and run by professional massage therapists who really know what they’re doing. It’s a perfect place for detox and unwinding. Lastly, it’s an ideal spot for families with children—quiet, safe, and filled with nature. I highly recommend Padma Ubud for anyone looking to recharge and reconnect with peace and beauty. Staff were very thoughtful they brought a small cake for my daughter first birthday, thank you so much 🙏

AustraliaGym was ok.
Our stay at Padma was truly unforgettable. We brought my mother-in-law for a 5-night getaway, and it couldn’t have been more perfect for her love of nature. The beautifully maintained private gardens and riverside setting felt like a tropical sanctuary, filled with lush, exotic plants—and the animals were such a delightful bonus! One of my favourite parts of the trip was our daily ritual: waking up, strolling through the serene grounds to visit the animals, breathing in the fresh air, and finishing with a swim in the pool overlooking the jungle. Breakfast was a highlight too—Juliano and the rest of the team greeted us with warm smiles and kindly accommodated our vegan diet with chia pudding, smoothie bowls, and scrambled tofu with avo on toast. We also joined a village bike tour and tried our hand at a canang-making class, which made the experience even more special. Thank you for the memories—we’ll treasure this trip always.

United KingdomThere was a construction going on, but actually didn't bother us much. Also a bit of a sewer smell on some walking paths.
The views (e.g., from the pool, restaurant, the yoga place) are astonishing. The food was delicious with a good choice from different cuisines during the breakfast. The staff are very welcoming and always ready to help. The number of activities / facilities and their quality was really great.

United StatesThings to improve/note for a 5 star resort (I would not, probably, notice them in other parts of the world or if it was cheaper): 1. They ask you to pay via their internal system after I made the reservation via booking com which is weird 2. Service - overall the service was good, but sometimes it’s funny. Like 3 people will sit you at breakfast table but then they will say “oh sorry this table is already occupied” and need to move you. Or 3 people will ask if you want a coffee and then no one brings it. It’s not critical, but something to improve. 3. My husband has a food allergy but they kept asking every day if we have any allergies and kept asking for room number (it’s the same for a week) and there are not that many guests. 4. There are some umbrellas near the pool but the sun is very strong so I think they should invest in larger umbrellas. Also it was very simple sun-beds, not plush ones. As the pool is the main attraction here, I think they needed to be upgraded. 5. Also, they don’t offer water while you spent time near the pool which I think should be provided. 6. Also, they have 3 towel boys but it’s very slippery near the pool and no one mops the floor, except one dedicated person. 7. There are literally only 2 songs they play near the pool over and over, maybe they should add at least a few more for variety. 8. Menu didn’t have any açai bowls or healthy bowls - I think Bali is known for those instagrammable bowls, but menu here is more American style. 9. However! You can order smoothie bowl or chia bowl for breakfast if you order one day in advance. I found out about it accidentally from another couple. No one tells you that. I guess it’s secret menu like at Starbucks. 10. Room layout is weird. The toilet is not separated from shower or dress closet so when someone uses the restroom you need to close all heavy wood doors to get some privacy. So make sure you are okay with that.
1. Pool is fantastic! It’s 31C, very warm, doesn’t smell like chlorine, beautiful! 2. The location of the hotel is also nice cause you are up in the mountain so it’s not very humid and there is a nice breeze. It’s very comfortable especially if you are not very good with heat. 3. Overall food is nice - breakfast buffet has a good selection and everything we ordered from the menu was fresh and pretty tasty! 4. The hotel territory is nice! You can walk around. And there is a small petting zoo! 5. Yoga class was good and it is in a nice location. 6. I had a massage at SPA and it was great! Very relaxing and nicely done! 7. Floating breakfast was great as well! 8. The hotel is very clean! And the team who cleaned our room did fanatic job as well! 9. They give you 4 glass bottles of water a day and you can ask more if required. 10. We ordered grab to go to restaurants and never had issues with drivers. 11. Wi-Fi is pretty reliable. 12. We also arranged the airport pick-up from the hotel - the car was a nice SUV and the driver was nice. Highly recommend after long flight! 13. There is a mix of different nationalities and mix of families with kids and couples.
