How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe setting by the rice fields is definitely one of the highlight because it's beautiful, calming and Canggu being overcrowded it makes it a hidden gem so precious. Please don't change it! You even have a path where you can run and walk along the rice fields. The pools are very good, you get brekkie included, 10% at the restaurant next door and discount for the gym next door too! Bynd Gym is really a awesome place to work out with recovery facilities, yet not crowded, super equipped with awesome views on the rice fields. The rooms are really good standards, in some of them (we changed a couple of times) you can even cook! Excellent place to go to - good value for money and the staff is amazing

I didn’t really like a couple of things during my stay. There was a smell coming from the sewer outside, and it made the room unpleasant. Also since the gym was very close by, the music was much too loud at 8 in the morning.

It was too isolated. And the surrounding roads were very busy and chaotic. Getting a taxi was a nightmare because of the gridlocked traffic. There were no restaurants nearby that were within a safe walking distance so we were obliged to eat dinner every night at the villa. The quality of the meals were inconsistent. The breakfast menu was very limited and you had to pay extra for a white coffee. The hot water from the shower ran out very quickly so the next persons shower was always cold. Also the bathroom smelt terrible and the design of the bathroom meant there was no privacy. Netflix is only available if you have your own account to set up.

Verified reviewI loved the location, décor, and landscaping. If capturing great Instagram shots is your priority, this place won’t disappoint. The villas sit beside a stunning rice field, and the surrounding gardens are beautifully maintained.
Behind the pretty façade, this place is a letdown. The villas might look good in photos, but living in them is another story. The bathroom has no roof, so every shower turns the entire space into a humid swamp—and you can forget about privacy. Inside, the villas are dark and poorly lit, making them feel gloomy and impractical. The biggest insult was the “gym” that doesn’t exist. Instead, they hand you a one-day pass to the gym next door. Advertising it as included is blatant false advertising, and when I complained, they tried to gaslight me by claiming they never said it was free. This place is all style, no substance. I would never stay here again.

The room was not up to any hotel standard. If they post the actual photo of bathroom and the doors, I wonder if people would still willing to stay at this place with the listed price. The shower drainage was COMPLETELY blocked, they are well aware of it and pretend that it was a unknown situation. The bathroom had a little pond when I checked in. They had to cover the smell ( because of the drainage problem)by spray heavily. Not to mention the hair on the floor and in the bathroom. Both bathroom door and the front door is made of aluminum, if you are seeking quiet and some rest, you will hear everything in the corridor and the music from the gym next door at 8am. It’s stated indoor area is 20 square meters, but it doesn’t feel like. I don’t feel their manager cares about these 4 rooms above, the villas in this property do look nice. The worst hotel experience in Bali.

The breakfast was small. The rooms don't get clean daily and there are no room numbers so it was hard to find our room as well as someone wanted to get into our room in the middle of the night by mistake. The gym next door plays loud music early morning and we could hear our neighbours alarm from our room at 5.30am.
