Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South AfricaThe bathrooms were indeed designed with an undeniable aesthetic appeal. However, it seems their stunning appearance overshadowed certain functional aspects. While the fixtures and designs were undeniably pleasing to the eye, their practicality was somewhat compromised. Perhaps future designs could find a balance between beauty and utility for the user's comfort. Ultimately, the goal is a space that is both lovely and easy to use.
We truly enjoyed the secluded environment and the feeling of being away from the hustle and bustle. The quietness and the beautiful scenery made it a perfect escape for us. We appreciated the opportunity to disconnect and recharge in such a peaceful setting. Overall, we found the remoteness to be a significant highlight of our experience.

AustraliaI really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It’s very quiet and surrounded by beautiful rice fields – a perfect place to relax. The views are amazing, and the atmosphere is very peaceful. The staff were very kind and helpful, which made me feel welcome. The room was clean and comfortable. The only small issue was the hot shower – it didn’t work very well. But overall, I had a great time and would love to come back.

GermanyAbsolutely amazing!! I can’t describe with enough words what an amazing experience we had here. It’s by far the best price to value ratio in Bali! Stunning garden, magical bathroom, perfect location, fantastic staff! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

FranceIt's pretty far. If you have a flight in the early morning don't stay here, you will most likely miss your flight (happened to me), because Grab taxis will accept your trip and won't come untill you pay them more. Pretty much a hostage situation. The traffic from the hotel to the airport is terrible.
The view was relaxing and beautiful. The room was nice and suited the Ubud vibes. Breakfast was okay.

South AfricaWe chose to stay here to be out of the hustle and bustle of Ubud only to be met with music coming from what seems to be an attempt at a day club next door which is really unfortunate. This is of course no fault of Padi Bali at all as our stay was absolutely amazing but I do feel sorry for them as this detracts from complete peace and quiet.
The view of the rice paddies was incredible and I loved the fireflies at night. The staff were most helpful when it came to arranging tours for us and just generally super friendly. Nothing was ever an effort. We ate supper here twice and the food was good.

ArgentinaThe internet is almost non existent and they take their time to reply and make breakfast but it’s quite normal in Bali. It’s a bit far from city. If you have no transport you feel isolated.
The gardens and cottages are beautiful, also swimming pool. So green and stunning. Also the bathroom is the biggest one I’ve seen. Good breakfast too.

United KingdomNext time, I would definitely choose a room with a bathtub. In the one with a shower, I wasn’t a fan of the stones in the floor opening – every time I took a shower, I was a bit afraid I might slip and fall into it. I can see the charm in it, and it’s surely part of the design, but the bathroom with the bathtub looked much nicer and felt safer!
A peaceful retreat tucked away from the noise and rush of the city. Waking up to the sight of endless green rice paddies and the gentle sounds of nature was pure magic. The hotel blends beautifully into its surroundings, offering both comfort and authenticity. The rooms were clean and thoughtfully designed, with large windows that made you feel like you were sleeping right in the middle of the fields. The staff were warm, helpful, and always smiling – it felt like coming home. If you’re looking for a quiet escape to reconnect with nature and yourself, this place is a hidden gem. I’ll definitely return.

NetherlandsWe were there when it was really hot and since the rooms don't have AC it was very hot in the room. Next to the hotel there was another hotel that played loud techno music from 8am to 10pm which was really such a shame for the true Bali feel.
