Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaOur stay at Omunity Bali was truly exceptional. We had originally planned to stay just one night but ended up staying three - and we would have loved to stay even longer. Zanzan is an incredible host who puts his whole heart into making your stay unforgettable. There are plenty of activities you can book during your time there and he will gladly help with everything you might need. The delicious breakfasts and dinners were a wonderful experience, always beginning with a beautiful moment of prayer and gratitude. We cherished our conversations with Zanzan and were deeply touched by his big heart for the Earth, the local community and animals. This is the perfect place if you want to learn more about Balinese culture and beliefs. As an animal lover I found this place even more special - far beyond what I could have imagined. Staying here has truly been the highlight of our time in Bali. Thank you, Zanzan, and the whole Omunity team, for your kindness and warmth. You made us feel at home and we will always carry these memories with us with gratitude.

The staff. Human connection is guaranteed. The place is amazing, offering spaces to relax, yoga in the morning, and meals around the big table with the rest of the guests. This has been the best experience in Bali so far. Please go and meet Zanzan and his team, it s a lifetime experience!

New ZealandLeaving!!!
Having read such heartfelt deep and meaningful reviews we booked immediately and had already fallen in love with OMunity before we arrived. It’s hard to be more positive than all that’s been said already except to say this is the REAL Bali… authentic and far from crowds and commercialism. Zan Zan took us in and showed us around like family, as we got to see, hear and feel his history and lineage as well as see his legacy passing into his next generation via his three wonderful young adult children. Whilst his wife was away during our stay, we felt her presence. We extended our stay to 18 days total and loved meeting so many people coming and going… with an average stay of three nights. Most arrived with a big relief to be away from the crowds traffic and noise, mesmerised by the local rice fields, delighted by the treks to waterfalls and expressed a feeling of wishing they could stay longer

United StatesToo much fried food, and sweet, not much protein. But I guess this is Balinese cuisine
The people that work there, the oneness with nature, the immersion in real Balinese culture!

AustraliaLack of consistent hot water but not a major problem
Friendly atmosphere including the dogs, rabbit, duck! Delicious food, lovely quiet environment, personal touch of Zanzan and meeting his children, excellent masseur, a personal, non commercial environment where we were treated like valued guests rather than just clients. We enjoyed learning about Hinduism without it being thrust upon us. We celebrated two birthdays in the family, 50 and 80, and two lovely cakes were provided during dinner time. A memorable stay

United StatesA Life-Changing Experience at OMunity Bali Staying at OMunity Bali was nothing short of a blessing in disguise. I arrived in Bali with the intention of healing, and what I received was far more than I ever expected love, connection, community, and a deep sense of peace. Zanzan, Putu, their beautiful children, grandmother, and the kind-hearted staff welcomed me with such grace and sincerity that I immediately felt like part of their extended family. This isn’t just a hotel OMunity is a living, breathing village rooted in tradition, love, and authenticity. It’s located in Sawan, a special village of 10,000 original Balinese families, and it offers the rare opportunity to truly disconnect from the busy world and reconnect with what matters most nature, community, and self. Every guest staying alongside me ended up extending their time a true testament to the magic of this place and the hospitality of its hosts. From heartfelt conversations with Zanzan to sharing delicious vegetarian meals prepared with love, every moment felt sacred. I was even invited to attend three traditional ceremonies during my stay a beautiful and humbling experience I will never forget. One of the highlights for me was visiting a local school in the village led by an inspiring principal who teaches children about sustainability and recycling. I also had the joy of making offering baskets, exploring the breathtaking Sekumpul and Fiji waterfalls, and immersing myself in the local culture in the most authentic way. OMunity is not just a destination it’s a life experience. It lives deep in my heart, and I carry the memories with so much love and gratitude. I’m already counting the days until I return in May 2026. Thank you, OMunity family, for everything. ❤️🙏

It is a wellness retreat that is relaxed and low-key: guests can request activities to their own interests. Communication with host family is very good and there is good opportunity to interact with other guests, Accommodation is centered around a forest garden with a swimming pool. Everything is designed with nature, so it looks natural, and it has traditional buildings! The communal-timed breakfast included in the room fee is great.

AustraliaOmunity Bali in Sudaji village is a beautiful experience. It has a relaxed pace and lovely garden setting with established trees amongst thatched traditional material structures. The sound of running water and cool breezes provided by large shady trees make it a serene sanctuary. I spent time sleeping and reading amongst the sounds of village life - roosters, dogs and running water. The main draw card was the warmth, grace and generosity of Zan Zan and his family. Communal vegetarian meals sharing a table with the host family and various guests from Denpasar and around the world was a highlight. Zan Zan organised a guided walk out the gate to Sekumpul Waterfalls through gorgeous verdant landscape. We walked amongst vast layers of elevated rice paddies, coffee, white pepper and djurian trees growing, cows feeding and cloves drying via a natural rock water slide, 7m jump and elevated coconut water pit stop to the trio of stunning waterfalls. Such a wonderful outing. A night time temple visit with the family for a new moon ceremony, being driven by Zan Zan to Banjar Hot Springs, local black sand beaches at Kerobokan Beach for a long float in water and a massage in Singaraja were special. Learning about local customs, farming practices and daily life made my stay memorable and very special. I feel rested and restored and very glad to have seen a glimpse of traditional life in the cool clean air of Northern Bali. I loved my time at Omunity Bali and miss seeing Frida the dog at the door of my room!

IndonesiaThe place is very quiet and like the pictures. The room was small but confy and cute. We were welcomed by SanSan and his children, it was very nice. SanSan is a wise man with many stories. The place is very centered around hindouism and this is peaceful. The only thing we regret was not asking for the price of the food offered because it was way more expensive than what you can usually spend (150k/person for one meal). It was really good but i think not worthy of the price. If you just ask for prices before saying yes to activities or food, everything is pleasant. Thank you again,
