We love love love the location that is right in the middle of nature. It has everything that nature has to offer. Including fireflies ❤️! It is absolutely quiet at night and fresh, no need for an aircon. Hot showers work perfectly. They offer many extra services like touring or massage. The owners and staff showed us the true Balinese hospitality throughout our stay. When we left, Bapak gave our son a pineapple 🍍and we try to replant it at home.

Internet connection is poor in our room, could potentially be a let down if you're someone who is chronically online.

    Property response:

We feel truly honored reading the title of your review – thank you so much. We would absolutely love to welcome you back again. We're so happy to hear that you enjoyed the peaceful nature, the fireflies, and the hospitality from our team. What a lovely moment to hear about your son receiving a pineapple from Bapak — we hope it grows beautifully at your home! By the way, we usually have plenty of pineapples ready around November to December. Thank you also for mentioning the internet connection in your room. You're right — the signal there is weaker. For future guests who may need better connectivity, we recommend using the dining area, the double room with garden view, or the double room with private bathroom, where the signal is stronger. Wishing you all the best in your future travels! 🌿🍍✨ dewi and team

What a wonderful location, an island of individual huts surrounded by flowing rice fields against a forest backdrop. All the friendly staff, including the massage therapist and drives came from the nearby village. We intended to stay for one night and stayed for three. Food and coffee were delicious. Great base camp to visit the area.

    Property response:

Thank you so much for staying with us 2 nights longer. We’re really happy you enjoyed two massages with Iluh and Putra, and the trip with Ari — our local driver. Also, thank you for sharing helpful information about our rooms, location, and surroundings with other guests. That really helps us explain things better to future visitors. We’re also happy you liked our coffee — it’s made right here in the village by a local business owner. And thank you for enjoying our local food too. By choosing them, you’re helping support small local businesses in our community. Wishing you all the best in your future travels. We hope to welcome you back someday. Warm regards, dewi and team

Had a really wonderful stay here for 2 nights. Everything was perfect and organised, from the information you receive on WhatsApp before you arrive, to the tours and the rooms etc. Dewi is wonderful and makes you feel right at home. I had dinner both nights and it was delicious. Breakfast also really good. The room was lovely and clean. A big bed. And a lovely view over rice fields. Was super relaxing reading in the hammock. I did the tour as well with Roi which was so good. Got to see lots of the local area, and was able to sort out my transfers for the next few days too. All in all a really warm, homely and welcoming place. Where everything is organised for you if you need.

This is a beautiful, tranquil, and unique lodge in the Balinese mountains. I chose it as I wanted a break from the unrelenting heat of coastal North Bali. Oemah Tepi Sawah is up in a stunning mountain plateau with warm days and delightfully cool evenings. I had a spacious villa, which was charming and serene. Check out the different rooms as they have varying combinations of spaces and bathroom arrangements, but they are all idyllic. The hospitality was amazing. Dewi is a wonderful host and very well organised. The food was healthy, delicious, and unique. The superb cook, Anggi, made amazing dinners, especially the soups. I also had two massages from Iluh. The first one hour massage was so relaxing that I booked a second for one and a half hours. The jungle and mountain trekking made for an excellent day. Putu Nova, Kadek Komar, and Komang Deduk are engaging, knowledgeable, and helpful guides. I went trekking with other guests and we all enjoyed their company. Kadek Komar is also a driver and drove me from Lovina to Oemah Tepi Sawah and then to Sanur. I well recommend Kadek Komar as a driver. This is a beautiful place, and I plan on returning every other year. It is the perfect place to stop for a while as you drive between North and South Bali. I plan on stopping here for a few nights in both directions for my future trips to Bali from now on.

    Property response:

Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review. We’re really happy to hear that you enjoyed your time at Oemah Tepi Sawah 🙏 Thank you also for taking the time to explain your villa and other room options — this is very helpful for future guests to know what to expect. We’re glad you found your room peaceful and comfortable. It also means a lot to us that you mentioned everyone in our team by name. We stayed just one night, but it was a truly special experience. The villa is right in the jungle! So close to nature. Big thanks to Dewi for her warm hospitality. She made us feel very welcome, prepared a delicious local breakfast, and helped us order a taxi since the place is quite remote. You can also join cooking or yoga classes and even go on jungle trips if you stay longer. We wish we had more time here. Thank you, Dewi!

The accommodations are simple, comfortable, very clean, with a cozy homie feeling on each detail. Home cooked Indonesian food was delicious and generous. Dewi and Chandra runs an impeccable little peace of heaven in Bali. Recommend for those looking for experiencing what's Bali truly is, away from the touristy track.

I absolutely loved my stay here! Despite the rain during my entire visit, the staff went above and beyond to ensure I had a wonderful experience. The morning yoga class was truly amazing — the teacher is fantastic, and I learned so much. It was one of the best classes I had taken so far here in Bali. On top of that, the staff even brought me lunch so I didn’t have to walk through the rain — they are so kind! The dinners were also delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The location is breathtakingly beautiful, and the house I stayed in was cosy and I had a great sleep. I really hope to return someday — hopefully with a bit more sunshine!

Nice nature get away, it felt like camping, but with more comfort. The view from the room is amazing - a rice field and forest. Sounds of the nature are calming and the fresh air made our sleep very restful. The breakfast is delicious and quite large with a savory dish and local sweets.

I wish the chairs in the room's sitting area were more comfortable because it's the best spot to enjoy the view. Also, for the shower water to be hot requires a bit of dialing in: turning the tap all the way to hot and lowering the pressure.

    Property response:

Thank you so much for spending your time with us and for taking the time to share a lovely review. It means the world to us. We’re so happy to hear that you enjoyed the surroundings and our simple local breakfast— happiness is when our guests enjoyed our simple local food. Thank you also for your feedback about the chairs in the room. You're absolutely right—it's the perfect spot to enjoy the view of the rice fields and forest, and we want it to be as comfortable as possible. Since our rooms have wooden flooring, we have to be careful about the weight of the furniture to avoid causing any damage. That’s why we currently use lighter iron chairs, even though they may not be as comfortable as we’d like. We've realized this too, so as a temporary solution, we’ve added hammocks to every room—perfect for relaxing beside the rice fields while reading a book or listening to the sounds of rain and nature. Regarding the hot shower, we truly appreciate your input and will work to improve the system so it's easier to use and more consistent. We hope to welcome you back again soon for another restful stay close to nature. Warm regards, Dewi, Candra & Team
