Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandOnly a minor but if you have an early pick up and want breakfast prior, the cafe doesn't open till 0800
Loved the position of the property being so close to the centre but away from the noisy hubub. Just a 3-4 min walk down to the main road and into the thick or it. So nice to be a small lane and in peace. I was in the second to last bungalow so further away from the lane and it was nice and peaceful. The little covered open air areas to relax on have a meal in were lovely. The pool was a treat and I never saw anyone else using it - so it was like my own private pool

PolandAs in most apartments in Ubud you can expect bugs (ants/mosquitoes) and lizards in the room - I don't think it's possible to avoid them here. Cicadas can get quite loud in the night. You cannot arrive directly at the apartment by car - you need to walk 5 min on a narrow road with scooter drivers constantly driving along you - can get pretty irritating. Lastly, I had an issue contacting the apartment before arrival - they were not responding on booking at all :(
The apartments are situated slightly off the main route, allowing you to marvel at the beautiful rice fields without the everyday hassle. It's not the youngest but still well-maintained. The staff is very friendly and speaks good English. The breakfast is delicious - you can pick from 3 options à la carte. Apart from that you can buy delicious food from the restaurant. The pool is nice and refreshing. Nearby there are yoga classes, washing services and trip vendors.

United KingdomWow wow wow, I absolutely loved my stay here. I stayed for three nights but I didn’t not want to leave. It is absolutely beautiful, better than it appears on the listing. It is quiet being away from the main road and the bed was very comfortable. The cafe at the front of the property has a beautiful view, particularly good for sunsets, and is very well priced. The food and coffee are decent (could do with stocking gin though!). I could not recommend this place highly enough for your stay in Ubud. A real gem.

AustraliaUpon arrival no one was there, we knocked and knocked on the door at reception. They knew our arrival was late. After half hour of banging on the door we finally got someone. Wasn't a great start. No fridge in room or milk provided to go with the tea/coffee, would then charge for milk to get from cafe at the front.
Room was nice and clean. Staff friendly. Convenient location not too far into the rice fields so made an easy walk to everything. Pool was beautiful. Food & coffee was nice in the cafe at the front.

New ZealandReally lovely, nothing of concern.
Lovely villa, bed with mosquito net, enormous bathroom, peaceful outlook onto a rice field. Quiet and private at the far end of the property. There is a cute little bar/cafe on the pathway and lovely seating areas over lily ponds. Really pretty property, and a short (2-3 mins) walk in from the main street. Helpful staff who did wonders producing great food and taking care of things.

AustraliaIf you want instant hot water for your shower, you'll perhaps be disappointed. Wait a minute and you'll be fine.
Nur Guesthouse was my home during my three weeks of Yoga Teaching Training. It was a wonderful sanctuary for private relaxation, great food and ease of access to the main town without the hustle. I even came back to stay for a few days after a getaway to the Gilis. It felt like coming home. The cafes and restaurants nearby are wonderful. The neighbourhood is a happy place.

South AfricaWe were initially put in the room number 3 which was a disaster! After travelling the whole day all I wanted was to have a relaxing bath but there was no plug provided. When I went to request a plug for the bath the staff couldn't find a plug and their solution was to tape the drainage hole shut which obviously would not work. I then thought I'd maybe have a shower, but the shower did not work as the shower head was clogged with dirty and grime. I reported to the staff, and they happily came and fixed it for me. During the early morning hours, I fell ill and then lone behold the toilet stopped working. At this point my partner and I had enough as we were exhausted and I had felt really ill, and this was the last thing we felt like dealing with. The following morning, we went to the staff and asked if we could have a different room which they gladly provided to us. The staff made sure that this room was spotless and that all the facilities were in working order. From this point forward our stay at Nur Guesthouse was lovely!
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The facilities on the property were very nice with a clean pool and a beautiful, authentic Indonesian restaurant on site. Avoid room number 3, but room number 2 is really nice with all the basic amenities and facilities provided. The property itself is in a great location, still close to the city centre but far enough away that it feels peaceful and quiet amongst the rice fields.

CanadaThe pool needed a few more umbrellas to shade the guest. The guest house did not provide water to refill your bottle. Therefore, we needed to buy new water each day, it felt very wasteful.
Beautiful and peaceful. The pool was nice to relax during the afternoon after a hot day of walking. The Guesthouse was a bit removed from the main street via a small walking path, which made it nice and quiet. The monkey bar restaurant on site had very good food and reasonable prices with a nice view of Ricefield.

Czech RepublicWe were staying in deluxe room (number 4), unfortunately the room had all windows covered with some wooden stuff, which kind of blocked majority of sunlight in the room. We found every night quite a lot of ants, a centipede and one time a little lizard, but since you can see some tiny spaces in the wooden wall, we were counting on that. At the beginning of our stay, we found some hairs on the bathtub. After reporting it to the staff, they took care of it and cleaned the bathroom again. The water pressure was not too good.
Staff was very keen to help at every situation, good location, great bar as a part of the resort. Swimming pool was clean and beautiful. A little pond with really cool sitting.

FinlandThe breakfast was a little boring, only a few options to choose from and remained the same every day. The reception was empty practically all the time so checking in and out was a hassle. Also, there were a LOT of small centipedes crawling around the room day and night. This wasn't a bad thing for me (quite the opposite), but please be aware that you cannot get all the way to the hotel by car. There is a short walk from the main road, a narrow concrete corridor/trail. This is the key to the peacefulness, just be prepared to carry or pull your luggage for a couple hundred metres.
The hotel is very close to Ubud centre yet feels like staying in the countryside in the middle of rice fields. No noise from the traffic at all! The premises are very beautiful and the small swimming pool a lovely add-on. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the aircon very effective! Absolutely loved the small Monkey Bar in front of the hotel!

AustraliaBathroom needs a good regular clean. I did some of my own cleaning during my stay. Small fridge would be useful, especially when staying for an extended time.
Cute and spacious bungalows amongst the rice fields. Lovely garden and pool area. The Monkey Bar at the front of the property is fabulous. Lovely spot to watch the sunset, have a drink and eat some great local food. Away from the busy street but only a fifteen minute walk into the centre of Ubud. Five minute walk to Ubud Yoga House.

NorwayThe bathroom could need some deep cleaning of the surfaces. The arrival is quite challenging if you are not agile and in good shape. Recommend to get some scooters to transport your luggage and your self to the accomodation.
