Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Nice resort at the beach and close to Kuta city. Good restaurant and plenty of sunbeds at the beach and pool. The room was clean and comfy.

United KingdomECO-Friendly credentials aren’t good. Use of single use plastic straws is unforgivable in today’s world. Single use sugar, salt & pepper too. Lombok’s litter problem is clear to see and only getting worse. Novotel as a brand needs to take the lead on this for the island or it will end up like Bali in a decade or less and you won’t have the tourists it clearly needs.
Great location, facilities, food etc for the price were excellent. Staff were brilliant.

United KingdomThe cosmetics provided smelt horrendous - like the dragon fruit Power cut Slow service on food - we gave them two chances then just ate breakfast, lunch and dinner in town and next door at The Pullman. They don’t speak English well enough to understand simple requests - shame on the hotel chain for not providing training and development. The grounds need some serious attention to DIY and renovation. The statues and flower pots are all chipped and broken, slime on stone surfaces, pool needs a good scrub. Some sun loungers broken and mattresses stitching coming apart . There is just a lack of attention to detail in the smaller areas. Maybe only westerners see it because we live so differently… things need repairing and replacing and they just aren’t doing it.
There are many things that need desperately improving in this place but I would still recommend it. Comfy beds and high quality linen and towels which are pristine. Immaculately cleaned rooms Great air con Hot and powerful shower We had two rooms - a private villa and another deluxe double. Clean pool Large clean pool towels Mattresses on sunbeds Amazing taxi service to town

RussiaA lot of the personell didn't speak English at all. This is number one. 2. Some items in the room are quite old, for example: the curtains on the windows and also in my room there was a hole on the floor with a gap of the material used. Also, beach towels are pretty old.
I liked how responsive to my needs and requests the staff was. I didn't like the first room – and I was kindly given a better option that was the room overlooking a good scenery with a piece of the sea seen at a distance. So, staff is kind and happy to help you. I appreciated it a lot. 2. Good breakfast options 3. The sunset walking activity is amazing

Cook IslandsThe quality of the bay ocean water was pretty average, but that's nothing to do with the resort which was amazingly clean and sparkling. I did have an accident whilst at the resort with the cause now being investigated and reason now fixed, but sadly had the last couple of days laid up. But although a negative incident , the staff were fantastic and caring in helping me get around and looking after me.
Our villa was amazing, breakfast was fantastic, bar table and beach service was top notch, food and drink menu was good, pools were spectacular and the staff made the whole trip absolutely memorable. The happy birthday cake snuck into our villa was a very special touch.

SwitzerlandThe kids at the beach are selling bracelets and force you to buy something. They are so cute and I bought things but sometimes they are a bit pushy, what made me feel bad if I declined to buy anything. A lot is offered for breakfast but I missed fresh fruit juices. The bred is also not the best tasting. But it was ok all in all.
The hotel was beautiful and the bungalow comfortable. The shower was amazing. The beach was quiet with soft sand. Beautiful. The staff was so friendly and made you feel welcome. Free water was available. Very close to Kuta where you can find fantastic restaurants, bars and markets. You feel safe walking through the streets and enjoying the evening with sound and other people.

LuxembourgThe mix of different music between the bar and the restaurant which are just next to each other is a bit annoying when you are having dinner but this is a minor issue.
The location of this hotel right at the beachfront, the friendly staff, the facilities and the buffet breakfast are all outstanding

AustraliaLarge hotel with the full suite of services available. The staff are very attentive and helpful. The hotel is a little dated and less "glitzy" than some other hotels at a similar price point but it is somewhat charming in this way and feels like stepping back a couple of decades (although with good Wifi available everywhere). The grounds are very spacious and shady. One nice thing about this hotel compared to other large hotels is that it doesn't have any large and imposing buildings - even the 3 level building with the more basic rooms feels like it is set amongst the trees and does not dominate the landscape. There is an open air restaurant and bar, two pools, lounging both pool and beachside, and direct beachfront access. The beachfront is unfortunately not very clean for swimming but the sunset views are very nice. The hotel is about a 10 minute drive from the centre of Kuta and the hotel has plenty of drivers available to organise a car even on short notice. We had drivers pick us up from the town centre more than once and we didn't have to wait more than about 15 minutes. I had some laundry done which was a bit expensive and had a small issue when the hotel momentarily misplaced my items, but they were very quick to address the problem.
