Amazing value for the cost especially thanks to the very nice hosts Heru&Andy - they organised everything we needed even when asked quite last minute, including a great guided tour. The room was also very nice and comfortable with beautiful views of the rice fields, the food was excellent... overall a perfect short stay in Tetebatu.

The room was big and comfortable with a nice view on the rice fields.

The WC is not separated from shower area and this is not very comfortable. Limited choice for breakfast.

We stayed here for two nights as we wanted to see the rice fields and nature around. The place was great, and had a great view from the room to the rice fields where we could see the sun rice. Restaurant at the guest house served amazing food and all of the staff were super nice and helped with everything. They also have several tours that they offer around the area, we chose the Nature one guided by Andy, which explained all perfectly: we went to see the rice fields, and all fields in general(chilly, tomato…)waterfalls and monkey forest.

We had an amazing stay! It was so beautiful and the staff were so helpful and super friendly! We did the waterfall and monkey forest tour with Andi, and we can highly recommend it! He was so knowledgeable about everything and was able to answer all our questions. Plus, his English was very impressive and he also spoke a few phrases in German, which was cool. We had a great stay at Novia Guest House! Thank you!

    Nothing everything was great!

Fantastic stay, clean, nicely located and you get what you pay for. Andi and Heru are great guys, exceptionally friendly and Andi is a delight to have at your table. Well-informed and opinionated, he converses very well in English which is great to get to know the people. The rest of the staff are equally warm and friendly, we stayed just one night as they were fully booked up which was a pity. We would have stayed longer without question. The restaurant was great as well.

    Nothing to not like.

Everything was perfect. The room was spacious and clean, with a stunning view of the rice fields and Mount Rinjani. The food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The tour guide, Andy, was incredible! He spent two days with us and took us to see rice fields, the Monkey Forest, different villages, waterfalls, and more. He explained everything so well and made the experience truly enriching. Andy was also amazing with our two kids — patient, fun, and full of energy. We laughed a lot and learned even more. I highly recommend Novia Guest House and tours with Andy!

Novia Guest House is a beautiful new spot in Tetebatu, and the hosts are doing an amazing job setting everything up. The surroundings are simply stunning with lush trees and expansive rice fields framing the property. Meals are served on a relaxing terrace area where you can take in the beauty of nature while enjoying truly delicious food. The guesthouse is conveniently located just a 5–10 minute walk from the local village, where you can discover a variety of guesthouses, restaurants, and the warm, authentic local way of life. It was about a 2 ½ hour drive from Bangal Harbour (after the Gili Islands), and the taxi ride cost us around £30—an affordable transfer that made the journey as smooth as the stay. Overall, Novia Guest House offers a welcoming, peaceful retreat with genuine hospitality and a beautiful setting that makes every moment memorable.

    The views

The hotel itself is a small farm surrounded by rice fields and with views of the sunrise, it was clean and correct except that the bed had no mosquito net and the door did not close well and some mosquitoes got in, the biggest problem we had was with the calls to prayer, they are next to a mosque and they wake you up with the loudspeaker at 4:30 in the morning, I had a hard time resting for this reason.

    Property response:

Hello.. Thank you for your feedback, if you want to stay without sound. don't stay in Lombok. we're Muslim Island, you have to respect us. just to mention you. be carefull with the next property where you stay

The views are amazing, the rooms were very clean, spacious and the beds were comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was really good. We loved the village walking tour that one of the staff-Andy took us on.

Nothing really, to be picky maybe the front entrance could be improved.

Beautiful and peaceful set up - the rooms are comfortable, the food is great and the people are wonderful. Andi, Heru and the team made sure we had a great stay in Tetubatu. The tours Andi took us on provided so much local knowledge and passion about the region and were tailored for what we wanted to see. Can't speak highly enough about our experience as a family and recommend the guest house to anyone.

Only a short stay here for us (unfortunately), because it was great: excellent sasak food (Urap Urap, Urap timun, sate pusut, spicy chicken) and Andy gave us an interesting and fun tour through his hometown: rice fields, a romantic waterfall and through the black monkey forest. We highly recommend!

10/10 for this one ! The staff is super friendly. We came as travelers and left as friends. Everyone does their utmost best to make you feel at home here! Special thanks to Andy who is the best out there such a cheerful genuine person, we learned a lot from him and his way of how he looks at life. If you have enough time take his tour he will teach you so much about the local culture and take you to the jungle. The best place ever! Please stay here to experience the warmth of this place !!!

Beautifully located in the lush nature of Tetebatu. We did the tour with Andy through the rice fields, the monkey forest, and to the waterfalls — it was truly magical and unforgettable! The family is incredibly kind, and the food at the accommodation is simply amazing. Everything is freshly prepared, and I had the best Gado Gado of my entire trip here. Thank you for everything!

Staying at Andy’s homestay in Tetebatu was one of the highlights of my Lombok trip. Andy is kind, joyful and passionate about his community. He took us on an incredible full-day tour — from bustling local markets to beautiful waterfalls and a traditional weaving village, where we met a family of talented women still practicing their craft by hand. Throughout the day, Andy made us feel completely safe and welcome. He was always checking in, picking edible ferns for us, making me a fern crown and sharing stories from his life. The traditional Sasak food we had at his homestay was absolutely delicious — fresh, homemade, and bursting with flavour. It’s clear how much Andy loves where he’s from and how proud he is to share it with visitors. I’d recommend staying with him to anyone visiting Tetebatu — it’s a truly special experience.
