Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWould be awesome to have a swimming pool, however there are plenty of places you can go and swim and Jeffrey is happy to take you.
Very easy to find. Set slightly back from the road but very visible for taxi drivers to see. Lovely to look onto rice fields and be 5 mins away from families who make coconut oil etc. The new rooms with patio are just like the pictures. Really comfy bed and amazing bathroom. Really handy to have a ‘sofa’ in the room so you don’t need to sit on the bed. Very peaceful. Jeffrey is so helpful with anything you need to sort (tours; walks; airport transfers etc). Food is cooked fresh. Would stay again and recommend.

IndonesiaSurrounded by rice paddies. The newer rooms are immaculate, older ones renovated traditional ones. The host cooked up an amazing local spread for dinner and offered earplugs for the noise from the surrounding mosques, which we found quite amusing but very considerate.

AustraliaAwesome host and accommodation. Make sure you don't book the standard bed room. It is the only one that does not have a lovely terrace or even windows. But the double bed room is really lovely like on the pictures. Plenty for breakfast and Jeffrey is an amazing tour guide. Definitely recommend if you want to catch a glimpse of local way of living. Be aware that there is a moschee close by and praying starts at 4:30am. All in all one of the best accommodations we have had in Indonesia. Bike rental is available as well as transport in case you need it.

DenmarkCompletely new bungalows. Very clean and very good isolation. Good aircondition and a lovely shower. The bed was amazing! I had such a good sleep here. The free breakfast was 3 banana pancakes. I had lunch there too, which was a big portion for a small amount of money. Lovely staff. Can really recommend!

AustraliaNeed a floor mat to dry our feet after using the bathroom.
I booked for 2 family rooms/villa which had a king and a double bed, in newly built building that is air-conditioned, bright and clean, brand new bathroom with hot water and 2 choices of shower heads. The pictures here dont do credit. I knew I am their 1st guest as the kettles are brand new too (as at 22 Jan 2025). They also have back rooms for 2 guests. I also booked another room in an 4yr old building, which is super clean, not too dated. Home-made breakfast and excellent dinner were served at the main hall next to the villa. For a reasonable fee, Ari is friendly and speaks decent English, he took us through the rice fields to his family coffee making facility and coconut oil production where you get to do tastings, and the children also get to see their cows and free roaming reared animals around. We also took a package that took us direct in the car (as we have elderlys and children) for trip to the Sarung Walet waterfall, recreation pool, which do not require trekking, also had a try at harvesting rice with a villager. We were lucky, at the monkey forest, we only walked 50m in, and the monkeys put on a display, which is not very frequent, apparently! Exceeded.expextations and very highly recommended!!

The bungalow was clean and had everything you need to have a nice stay, very new as well. The owner and his friend made our stay even better. Very friendly and welcoming 🙏🏼 if you rent a scooter, the main attractions in tetebatu are not far away. Food can be ordered in the associated restaurant - the urap-urap was really delicious ;) they build new rooms at the moment, so there were some construction noises during the day but it didn't bothered us at all.. I would definitely stay here again 😊

United KingdomThe room was quite dark and dingey, we probably should have gone for the bungalow rather than just the double room.
The staff were nice, the food was good, and the location was beautiful! Generally it was pretty cheap too.
