How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewHot water, comfy bed, balcony in the farm fields, and staff who go above and beyond. It's not in tetbatu village and so they arranged a bike for us.. this won't suit everyone. We saw staff take others to the doctor, arrange trips, play guitar to entertain, playing cards with guests and they even carried our bags to the main road.
Smoking smell.. I'm not sure if it was the fields or staff or just Indonesia but the open rattan cabins do let that smell through.

Verified reviewI had a great experience staying at this homestay. The atmosphere was incredibly quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The room was clean, the bed is comfy and had all the basic amenities I needed. Breakfast was served every morning and was delicious, laundry service is provided as well if needed. A little out of main attraction but If you have a scooter in few minutes you are at the centre.
A little maintenance around the room

Verified reviewThe staff is very friendly, he took us on a trip to the waterfall and the reis fields. The atmosphere is calm and my room was very clean and comfy. The rooms don’t have ac but I can guarantee that you won’t need it, as it gets fresh in the night. I extended my stay of two nights. I can recommend it:)

Verified reviewThe hospitality of the owner is amazing. We had a great time in tetebatu due to the great host. We did a tour with him trough the rice fields and the forest, which was amazing. The locally prepared food was also really good.
The wifi was not working due to a thunderstorm the night before, but it didnt really bother us.

Verified reviewSituated right next to the rice fields Small homestay and quiet area Friendly host Armin, who took me on cultural hand-making tour which was fascinating. Learnt about hand weaving, pottery and basket weaving. And then went to the second largest waterfall in Lombok.
Paper thin walls so you can hear your neighbour’s talk but if you are both quiet at respectful times then all good Shower head was not working properly so had to use the tap to shower Mosquito net didn’t fit the size of the bed so had to be inventive with propping items on each corner of the bed for it to work.

Verified reviewExcellent experience! The family was very friendly, they made us feel like home. Amin knows everything about Tetebatu and its culture, and the tour with him really gives you the opportunity to get into all the history and the way of living of this area. The food was incredible, every ingredient is bought from the local farms and you can taste it!! Highly recommended

Verified reviewWe really enjoyed staying there! Amin and Riz made our stay really special and they felt like family. They always checked if we need something and offered us tea and coffee anytime. We booked a ricefieldtour with Amin and he showed us the whole process and also a lot of different vegetables and fruit that grow in this area. The dinner was the best we had in Indonesia and was always cooked fresh from Atti and Riz. We really recommend that place and will definitely come back!
Thank you very for your good review 🙏

Verified reviewGood location, very clean and very affordable. The staff was very nice and provided for good food. They also provide a tour through and around Tetebatu, which I would highly recommend!
The huts are 100% bamboo, so it does get quite damp overnight. If you close your bags this is no problem at all.

Verified reviewWe had the loveliest stay at Mysha Guest house in Tetebatu. The room was beautiful, made by community members with local bamboo. The staff cooked amazing breakfast and dinner for us, with the freshest ingredients from the backyard and the community. Amin was the kindest, funniest and most generous tour guide. He shared knowledge around rice production that has been passed down through generations with us. He also took us to the local market, local waterfall, and to see the local production of bamboo crafts and textiles. Everyone in the community was so generous and welcoming. It was a very authentic Indonesian experience. Terima kasih!
Everything was exceptional.

Verified reviewThe property is located in a calm area in the village, next to a rice field - you will have a beautiful view for the breakfast. The room are clean and pretty. And the best part is Amin, he is someone incredibly nice, friendly and we felt like home. We had some health issues during our stay and he helped us with everything. I recommend the rice field tour with him too
A mosque in the village makes noise pretty early but that’s normal

Verified reviewLovely homestay surrounded by rice fields. The room was very comfortable and clean and the facilities were good. Amin the manager welcomed us kindly with some tea a great local dinner at the homestay on our arrival. The next day, Amin took us on a rice field tour, we also saw some waterfalls and the monkey forest. I can only recommend you to do this tour with Amin, he explained all the process of rice cultivation and harvest and much more. I recommend this homestay 100%, super nice hosts and comfortable room, and beautiful surroundings in the middle of the rice fields.
On our second evening, we didn’t know what time the kitchen was closing so we couldn’t eat at the homestay, but Amin told us about a place to eat nearby and it was great! Make sure you tell them in advance if you want to eat there !

Verified reviewThe stay in Tetebatu was my first ever experience of Indonesia and, wow! - was I absolutely smitten with its simplicity and beauty. The price of accommodation is so minuscle that it only makes sense to support homestay owners by joining on their local tours. After all, they offer not just their time, but their valuable local experience. Walk with them the rice fields, see and hear about the agriculture, jump into the cave waterfalls, watch the local ladies weave sarongs and make clay pottery, drive to the local market and ask your hosts to explain the local foods. If you are not the hike-or-die type, ask your hosts to bring you up to the foothills of Rinjani - and breathe in silence... I've seen and felt in a week more than I would do in two months back home. Also, very important!, as a solo female traveller I felt very safe with my hosts. I felt protected, respected and genuinely understood.
Leaving Mysha's was actually like leaving good friends - heartbreaking.

Verified reviewRoom was cosy and comfortable. Nice lighting. Good bathroom with hot water. Hosts were very helpful. Gated accomodation and locked up our scooter for us at night.
Included breakfast is not as advertised in the pictures. Food that can be purchased at the property is ok but quite expensive for what it is. Close proximity to a number of mosques so very noisy during call to prayer.

Verified reviewThe location is in the middle of rice paddies so its besutiful, step outside the front gates and you can see the mountains too. It's also close to waterfalls and a 10 minute scooter ride to the monkey forest. If you order from their menu you cant find fresher food, what they dont pick from their garden they will buy fresh from the market just for your meal. Especially special was the curry that they made from fresh coconut and let us drink the water! They helped us to arrange a taxi to our next destination for a fair price.

Verified reviewThe location is in the rice fields, surrounded by jungle fruit trees, beautiful flowering plants . It is very quiet and peaceful. Vibe is very tranquille and authentic.Fresh clean air. Woven grass walls and the ceiling of the rooms kept it cool..the Manager Amin was a great host and tour guide. Very knowledgeable and because he is a local he was able to escort us every where.
My soap dispenser was empty and not filled despite requests. Mosquito net sized for a crib, not a large bed and therefore did not provide protection. Regardless there were never see mosquitos in the room when I was there.

Verified reviewWas staying here for one night only and late booking, due to unpredictable additional trip in Lombok. Located in Kembang kuning near Tetebatu area, this amazing guest house was memorable. This unique guest house has only 2 bungalows. View of greeneries, rice fields view, small mountain and hills, village life and traditional way. Big shoutout to 2 guys who stood by the property, there were so great, kind, and helpful. They did extraordinary job. Bang sukri and another keeper were top notch. Served a good breakfast and hot drinks. Short distance to the waterfall and natural pool in Tetebatu, perfect spot for short gateway of Lombok busy time.
Make sure you give a right time of arrival and they will prepare everything for you

Only recommendation is to work a bit on the pressure of the shower. :) and I would put a cover on the blanket for hygienic purposes :)
