I totally underestimated the distance to the recommended restaurant. But the restaurant does take away and brings certain menu's to the lodge.

Sometimes there is no water from the shower or you should wait for the hot water a while. Once there was hot water from facet only, not shower.

A great location in the midst of nature, detached from others. Great view from the room and from the terrace, fresh air. Located between Malang and Bromo, so it is very convenient to go from the ecolodge to the Bromo tour. Scooters can be only rented on Malang, better to take minumun 120cc if you want to travel around, for example, to Sewu waterfall. Gojek works, but in the evening there maybe problems to get one, get a car in advance or ask the owner. The owners btw are very very cool and helpful! Thank you for helping us out!!!! Prepare warm clothes and socks.

The location between Malang and Bromo was very peaceful and quite beautiful.The rooms ( we had the 2 rooms) were basic but certainly comfortable,clean and had a great shower.It came with a fridge and kettle -water, tea ,coffee and noodles were provided . A decent restaurant was a 20 min walk away. Be prepared to eat out or bring some food as you’re on your own for meals.We were there for 3 nights and brought some food and beverages with us. The townspeople were very welcoming and the kids were lovely. Mary ,the owner,was extremely helpful and arranged our Bromo trip and also transportation to Surabaya.

Everything was perfect! The owner helped us get a Bromo Tour. Also it was difficult finding a driver to transport us as we left but the owner dropped us at our next stay. Large bed, good shower and clean room. Just make sure you bring Some food and water as the nearest restaurant is a 22 minute walk.

I think a little more information upfront in the property description about how to reach the place, the village itself (dining options, shops nearby etc.) would be useful for future guests.

The view was stunning. The room was super comfortable, clean, and spacious. Mary was kind and professional. She helped me book a Bromo tour and organise a driver back to Malang.

Place is great but be aware that there is close to zero infrastructure. Organize your arrival and departure upfront. Also, bring your our own food, fruits and drinks.

Our host Mary was friendly and informative and assisted us with our transportation, and booking of tours/ hikes in the surrounding area. The room was very comfortable,nestled into a lovely garden setting with a view to Mt Semura from our warm sunrise verandah.

- There are four rooms in one building so each terrace is not quite private - The entrance from the road was not quite obvious so I drove to some veggie garden - The road to get there from the village from the Bromo side was a tough dirt path so I got some unexpected enduro training with my bike (if Google shows you two - take one further from Bromo!)

- Peaceful location at the end of the village above the river - Huge windows for air and light - Room had instant noodles which saved me from starving after my late night checkin

We absolutely loved our stay here! The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Everything was provided in the room including water, fan and drying rack. The surroundings are really stunning and peaceful. We slept so well here! The host is super friendly and helpful, she helped us organise a tour to Mount Bromo, which was also much cheaper than organising it from Malang.

Our stay was too short

If you're looking for a quiet room in the middle of nature and close (1 hour) to Gunung Bromo with the best hosts possible, book this guesthouse. Brand new, great beds, the best view from your room and patio ever, clean. The hosts are spuperfriendly. Unfortunately we only stayed for one night.

The only little bad point is that there are a lot of holes into the outside in the bedroom and in the bathroom. So we saw a lot of spiders and insects, as the accommodation is in the nature.

The owner was very kind and interesting. The bedroom was good and the bed was comfortable. Big plus for the view on the mountain! 😍

Mary and Aris are such great host. The property is stunning and quiet. The room is so clean. They give you fresh fruits from their garden which is so nice. With a motorbike you can go to close restaurants. They helping us organize our trip. We were so lucky that Aris was free and drive us to waterfalls and Volcano he is the best guide I’ve travelled with. 100% recommended

It was amazing

Very nice stay! We felt home. Nice view. Good bathroom, hot water. Great big bed. Coffee/tea available. All very clean. No breakfast available since Mary works, but actually she offers! Because she brought so much fresh fruit! And on Sunday she was free and offered breakfast!!! Just truly amazing. Also on the day of check-in she prepared for us since we had a long night travel. Speaks English! Her man is a guide. It’s very clean! Totally recommend for a trip to escape tourism and enjoy nature!

The location is quite remote but the host helped us to find drivers.

The host were awesome! They offered as breakfast and organized us a very cool trip to the bromo volcano. One afternoon we went on a small hike with the host. You can find our hike here: https://www.komoot.de/tour/1261560317?ref=itd There are plenty of other possible hikes but mostly hard to find. The room was very clean and the view amazing.

Be prepared for a remote location : there is only one restaurant in the village. Without scooter or taxi, you have to be prepared to enjoy the beautiful view.

The 4 stars comfort (brand new queen size bed and perfect shower /toilet). The view on the mountain in front of the lodge. The "garden" (terrass cultures) along the river (10mn walk down the lodge). Last but not least, the kindness of our host.
