How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Musty smelling wardrobe. No hot shower in room (although two cubicle showers, with hot water, were available pool side).
Friendly staff. Owner was very welcoming. Good breakfast. Air-conditioning was spot on. WiFi worked really well. Good value for money.

The shower smelled a little bit, almost like sulfur, hope they fixed it now
Really good hosts that took care of all our needs. When there was a water outage we were relocated to another of the owers facilities free of charge (the other hotel was more expensive)

The bathroom furniture is akward and the water is not very hot.
The localization is not near the beach, around 3km walking, but for me was a plus. The people are very welcoming and helped with a fine and cheap scooter.

The showers don't have warm water, but it's not a major issue since the tap water is already fairly warm.
The Mong Bungalows are situated close to Kuta Center, and you can conveniently rent a scooter on-site to reach nearby attractions within minutes. The staff is always available and eager to assist with information or arranging taxis if needed.

Simple place. But nice and the room was spacious and clean , staff is very nice and helpfull. Very good value , will definitely come back. You can rent scooter on site , 7 8 min drive to city center or 35m walking

Only cold water in the bathroom shower, but you don’t really mind when it’s so hot outside!
The room is really nice! The bathroom is clean! The staff is super cool, sweet and helpful and the hostel dog Brodi is waiting for you to cuddle him and get him some treats :) We stayed here for a week and were really sad when we left. We will definitely come back!

The room had a serious damp/mold problem. When I told the owner she said she didn't know anything about it as she never went in the rooms. Not a great excuse! The rooms are in dire need of freshening up with some paint and a bit of an update. The mattress and pillows were lumpy and old, soft furnishings drab, NO hot water in the shower and a very noisy drumming practice taking place next door in the afternoon. The room was not cleaned at all during my stay, not even the bin on the terrace was emptied. Its expensive for what you get. The rooms dingy and depressing. There are much nicer places to stay for a better price in the area.
Pleasant staff and a basic breakfast included.

The breakfast was very ordinary. The location was far & I don't ride a bike which made it difficult to get around. For the entire week we didn't have our room cleaned & we had to empty our own bins. The manager was surly & unfriendly at times. After travelling all over SE Asia this was the worst accommodation I've had for the price. Didn't feel welcome at all despite the reviews I read before booking.
The other guests & the 2 young boys who worked there. They were friendly & kind.

It was not clean. The floor was dirty, as was the toilet and the rest of the bathroom. There was no cover for the blanket and the bed was not very clean either. We noticed that other people had stolen money. And in the end you have to pay in cash at the accommodation.
We have a roof over our heads to sleep under, breakfast was ok

The only downside is that there is no hot water in the showers:(
Loved this place!!!! First of all the staff is AMAZING!!! They clean every day and provide breakfast which is kindly made and served. They helped with our every need and even assisted to book scooters, tours, and taxis for us. The property is adorable and a decent location however you will need to rent a bike to get around (as most do in juta anyway). The AC worked really well also! The pool is super nice and we loved the patios outside each room.

Loud noise everyday morning 5 am from mosque prayer It’s So loud noise to disturb your sleep early morning. The female staff is very rude and don’t know how to respect customers . She is unfit for that job especially receiving customers in hotel and very disrespectful behaviour when talking to customers. The breakfast is unhygienic and it’s not good for health. Definitely i wont stay again in this place.
Room is big and male staff is good. (Only male staff)

Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, the breakfast was great, room and bathroom were clean and everything was working as intended! The staff was so helpful, they transported our luggage to our next accommodation!

Be warned the call to prayer is very loud each morning.
Friendly host and staff, very helpful with organising a bike. Laundry is cheap there as is breakfast. Also the pool is nice and clean. Easy and budget comfortable stay!

Yuli the owner is really lovely and so helpful. She organised a scooter for me, and they offer breakfast and a laundry service too. The bed is very comfortable and the room is clean. I love that it is quiet here, (except the occasional Mosque, but that is heard everywhere in Lombok.)

Great spot, just outside of town so it’s a bit quieter but still very close. The family was so friendly and accomodating and the free breakfast each day was great. Really enjoyed the stay.
