How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe staff were very good, the hotel was small and very personal, breakfast had a good choice and was fresh and tasty.
We were very disappointed with our room, we paid for a pool on our balcony which was very nice, but there was a hotel being built right outside our room and the 5-8 workmen watched our every move, they were staring into our pool and room so we couldn’t swim in the pool and they were waving and calling us when ever we were outside on the patio and open plan living area. They worked for 8.00am until 10.00 pm with smoke at times bellowing into the room.

Verified reviewThis was by far the most amazing accommodation we have ever stayed at. The experience from start to finish was out of this world & I couldn’t recommend Mokko Suites Batbelig enough. We stayed here for 5 nights & didn’t want to leave! The staff were the most beautiful people we have ever met- so warm, friendly & they couldn’t do enough for us. They were so helpful & kind. ❤️ I celebrated my 30th birthday here & the staff did the most beautiful balloon & flower arrangement for me on the bed & in our bath. The staff also came to the room with a cake & sang happy birthday. This made my day so special. Our room was incredible, so clean & modern. It was amazing to have our own swimming pool. The bed was extremely comfortable. There was some fruit & bottles of water left each day. The staff came to clean the room daily & did an outstanding job each time. The facilities in this accommodation are fantastic: We got room service from the bar/restaurant a few times which was delicious. They have a large menu for breakfast lunch & dinner. We also got one of the gorgeous floating breakfasts. We had a very relaxing couples massage & facial at the spa. My boyfriend made use of their gym facilities which were great also! Mokko Suites is based in a great location: between Canggu & Seminyak. There are lots of shops & facilities within walking distance. All in all, we would highly recommend for anyone to stay here. It is amazing value for money & you get to experience complete luxury. I have never felt as relaxed on a holiday. Every aspect of this place was truly stunning. Verified reviewGood layout of the hotel (we liked that the pool is in the middle, visible from all rooms), the food options are fantastic, they changed the towels and cleaned the room every day. Friendly staff.
The pool should be open longer, and also the walls of the rooms are very thin, so we herd everything from our neighbours (every single night around 10pm and they even woke us up one morning at 4am when they returned home and were having ultra loud conversations).

Verified reviewThe hotel was absolutely great. We had an issue with our bathtub but the staff was on top of it and even offered to change us rooms. Overall, fantastic stay.
I do wish the pool was open later, but that’s just a personal preference.

Verified reviewWe loved our room. Spacious and comfortable Cleaned well each day. The staff were very friendly and obliging. We ate most of our dinners in the hotel because it was reasonably priced, we liked the options and at the end of a big day we couldn’t be bothered going out to local places ! Great breakfast options. Comfortable bed !!
The location meant there was a need for Grab taxis or lots of walking. Hard to navigate the streets to find places The local beach was having work done on the foreshore but I’m sure it will be great in the future.

Verified reviewHigh level room. Very big, serving both a luxury bath and shower. Very roomy, with a nice little balcony down to the pool. It’s one of the best rooms I've ever had. Also the pool was awesome, I was lucky nobody was there, so I had it all for myself.
Unfortunately the location is a bit remote, compared to when I stayed in kuta. Not much choice of restaurants nearby and even though bars and clubs are in distance, traffic is really bad. If possible, take a scooter cab, much faster. Also, when I was there end of august, lots of aggressive mosquitos, buy a repeller!
