Great value for money. Central location close to harbour, shops and eating spots. Easy to walk or ride in any direction to reach your beach of choice. The included breakfast was tasty - and the guys sorted us out with good rates on a snorkelling trip + transfer to Selong Belanak. I really liked the shady front patio space too

First of all, I would like to thank the owner and the staff, it was a really great stay. They supported us in every way we needed. We came here for a week but we liked it so much that we stayed for about a month. Gili Air Island is already a fascinating place, and after experiencing this, we are looking forward to visiting here again. Room The room we stayed in was very close to the port and the center of the island, we usually walked everywhere. We found the room clean, there is a large double bed and a desk inside. There is also a large area where you can put your belongings, even though we opened our 2 suitcases and used them as a closet, there was still enough room for two people to move. The air conditioner in the room was new and worked well. The wifi connection quality was strong enough to work remotely all day. (wifi: 30-50Mbps) Bathroom The bathroom was a classic Balinese type, a private bathroom with a half-open ceiling. It was a very large and spacious bathroom. There was a place to take a shower comfortably and a drying rack to hang our wet clothes. Verandah There was a private veranda in front of the room where we could spend time, it was enough space for two people. We had our breakfasts here. I often used the hammock in this section to rest. I especially lay down and rested here after the sea. Service We stayed with breakfast included, we chose our breakfast from the menu every morning and ate it hot. Since my wife is vegan, they prepared a special vegan breakfast for her. The food was suitable for vegetarians. Drinking water, tea and coffee are available unlimited, you can drink them whenever you want. There was a laundry service, they washed our clothes quickly and affordably. The staff answered all our questions and helped us with tour purchases, equipment rentals and information. Thank you.

No HOT water, and their water is really cold, not lukewarm. I had a bad cold and sore throat all week. The toilet seat and the floor around it could be cleaner. The top of the trash can was pretty dirty. The rooms are rather dark. The chairs are hard wood, terribly uncomfortable

Spacious bedroom, comfortable bed, clean, with a good A/C. Quiet area within walking distance of the port. Mama's pancakes are to die for, and they serve a very decent black coffee. We really liked the idea of an outdoor shower. The staff is extremely friendly and always ready to help.

Everything! The room was clean and the location was perfect! We felt at home and the breakfast was great! The gentleman working on reception was incredibly welcoming and kind! He let us extra use towels for a snorkelling trip and made our time extra lovely!

The Mosquitos were awfull, they get into your room through the small shaped vented windows. There is a Mosquito net for sleeping but who wants to spend daytime sat under it, not me unfortunately.

The staff were lovely couldn’t have been more accommodating. They offer laundry service, bike rental and can arrange day trips from the island. The room was good for its price. We even had our towels changed over mid stay (5 nights). Would recommend if you are wanting a cheap stay on the island!

Just a note, there was no hot water in the shower, but this is really common in this area, and you can get used to it since it's very hot outside. :)

We really enjoyed our stay at Melbao Homestay, the room was comfortable. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Amazing breakfast served on our terrace. The location is great, close to the main street with shops and restaurants, but still in a quiet area.

I absolutely loved my stay here! The location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach and surrounded by lots of great restaurants and shops. The room was cosy, and I really appreciated that breakfast was served to the room every day. The staff were incredibly lovely and helpful, which made the stay even better. The only small downsides were that the air conditioning was quite loud, and the blanket provided was just a very thin sheet—it would be nice to have the option of a thicker one. Also, I think it would be great if they offered room cleaning for stays longer than three days. Overall, a wonderful place that I would definitely recommend!

Very clean and beautiful cozy rooms. There is all you need; water, a hammock, a small table and a clean bathroom. The breakfast is very good too and the staff are the best!

Shower was only cold water but this didn’t really bother us to much since it was outside so was cooling us down in the heat - I just know this may be an issue for others.

Great location and easy to find. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, little patio out the front with table and chairs and a hammock. Comfy bed, air con worked great. Can’t complain at all for the price!
