How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewI was staying up the road to be close to the main area, but I had no AC and no pool. I only stayed here one night, and it was incredible. The pool and view were so peaceful. The villa is huge. The bed was super comfy with fluffy pillows. The massage was EXCELLENT. The staff were very kind and friendly. Thank you
If you're in Munduk for the waterfalls etc it's not central but you just need to pay someone to take you up the hill. It's too noisey in the central area anyway.

Verified reviewOne of the most beautiful locations. A gorgeous villa, impeccable cleanliness, the nicest and kindest staff I have ever met. The food at the restaurant was very tasty, in conclusion one of the most successful vacations. Moreover, the trip to Red Coral, on the spice plantations and among the rice fields completed our experience Thank you Mayura for everything you offered us, I hope to see you again soon

Verified reviewSuch a beautiful, relaxing spot. Wish we had spent longer in Munduk. Staff were lovely and accommodating, making sure our 2 year old had meals she loved. Supermarket short walk up the road nearby and easy organization of taxi through the hotel (100k each trip). Room also has a water filter!
Some of the walkways around the grounds were a bit slippery so something to consider if you have mobility issues.

Verified reviewWe loved everything about our stay at Mayura Bali Villa. The team were so welcoming on arrival and available throughout our stay for everything we needed. The views were like nothing I've seen before – all the cabins had uninterrupted views over the rice fields with a deck to sit outside and soak it all in. Really comfy beds and couch to sit on just inside, facing the fields. We had a mix of weather while we were there – lots of rain and low-hanging cloud, which made it feel all the more magical – as well as a sunny afternoon, which meant we could enjoy the infinity pool. We even had massages on site, the perfect rainy day activity! A couple of local warungs nearby had some good food options that we tried during the day but we ate dinner on site both nights as it just felt easier. Close to the main waterfalls and hikes, we'd love to come back one day!
The breakfast options were a little basic and dinner options were also limited if you don't eat meat but they were so accomodating and made sure we had something we could eat both nights so we didn't mind at all.

Verified reviewWe loved absolutely everything! Beautiful villa with stunning view. Incredible staff, super tasty breakfast. You can just chill in the villa watching rice terraces, take a deep in the pool watching rice terraces and mountains or just take a nice walk in the village. Many waterfall around and not so many tourists so if you like to stay away from the crowd, this place is highly recommended. We will definitely come back.

Verified reviewIt's a very nice and quiet place with a great staff. The view from the room and the pool is incredible and it's great to be in the middle of nature and rice fields. The place consists of only 4 villas (very well equipped) which are right next to a rice field so it is very quiet and calm. At the same time it's very easy to move around with a scooter or driver and the staff will happily assist you (I strongly recommend swimming at Bayumala waterfalls). The restaurant is also very nice so we stayed around for most of our meals but if you want there is a town around the corner (not touristic at all) with some warungs and noodle places. Special thanks to the team that works there, very nice people.

The shower was hard to regulate, either very cold or very hot water. I am sure the staff will fix it after seeing this considering how careful and how much attention they gave us

Verified reviewNot exaggerating, this is the BEST accommodation in all of Munduk. Don’t look elsewhere. We had looked at multiple other places and I am SO glad this is where we chose. This place is incredible! The rice field views are stunning, and the rooms, kitchen, and living areas look even better in person. The pool is perfect for relaxing, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it a great getaway. But the real highlight? The food! Delicious, affordable, and better than any restaurant we tried in Munduk—we honestly wished we ate here for every meal. Amazing staff, great location, strong WiFi, cold AC, and hot water. Whether for a short stay or a remote work setup, this place is perfect. Don’t waste time eating elsewhere—just stay and enjoy!
I mean it… everything was perfect!

Verified reviewWe loved out stay here, a highlight of our trip to Bali. Such a beautiful property! The views of the rice fields are stunning. One of the best views we have experienced in SE Asia. The staff was so accommodating and provided excellent service. Also were helpful with planning sightseeing in the Munduk area. The prices for taxi transportation and tours are very reasonable. Hotel restaurant was delicious and had a nice variety of menu items. Clean rooms and the hotel is newly built.
Bed was very soft.

Verified reviewLocation was better than l thought with a small village 400 metres ( up hill ) with supermarkets and a small morning market. Villa was excellent and views to dye for. Very relaxing, everything you need. Restaurant at reception was good with a good range of meals at reasonable prices. Swimming pool was great. The breakfast, although good wasn't as good as other reviews made out. Hotel was happy to organize either set tours or their driver will help you plan one at a very good price.

Verified reviewLarge villa with great view. Wonderful staff, good breakfast and other meals at fair prices. Very nice pool and convenient walk to the non touristy village
The living room does not have an air conditioner and gets very hot even with the fan on and the large windows open. Moreover, the small air conditioner in the bedroom, barely keeps it cold enough. The village is not as cool as Munduk and has no good restaurants

Verified reviewMayura bali villa looked after us so well while we were there, they were helpful, flexible and ready to serve us with whatever we needed. The views were stunning! Incredible location. Kids were eager to explore the grounds & the pool location was spectacular. Thank you for a memorable stay. Being in nature was such a tonic to us. Massages and treatments were WONDERFUL.
No negatives, unfortunately we did go in rainy season so we did have some wet days.
