How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewYou can rent scooters directly at the accommodation at a very good price which was very convenient for us as we wanted to explore Kuta. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Also, the pool was nice and clean :)
The property is located about 6 min from Kuta centre by scooter but at night the road to the property which is an unsealed alley is barely lit so it's a little creepy when you come home late. Also, our room was a little noisy because there is no bathroom window (just an open hole in the wall) and a construction site right behind the bathroom. A mosquito net would be great for the bathroom!

Verified reviewThe area where the hotel is located, the attentive staff, and the beautiful rooms and overall space really stood out. It's very cozy and clean, and even though it's in the center of Kuta, you still get a sense of privacy and calm. They also arranged our bike rental, which was very convenient and inspiring of confidence. We loved this place so much
The only thing we felt could be improved was the lack of gel or shampoo in the shower

The swimming pool is rather a large bathtub, contrary to what the pictures suggest. The temperature in the shower fluctuated between cold and hot (not possible to find a nice middle ground) Some of the materials used in the room could be of higher quality for a 4 star hotel. The road to the hotel is bumpy and paved with sharp stones (be prepared)

Verified reviewPlace has amazing reviews so was expecting a nice relaxing stay but got the opposite, nothing but issues from the first day. The shower scalded my girlfriend with dangerously hot water, it would go hot and cold on its own without touching the handle. The following day I got an electric shock off the shower handle that nearly killed me, when the staff were informed about the problems they were actually annoyed and had an attitude about it which was absolutely insane. The cleaners soaked one of our backpacks and everything in it when mopping the floor, there was a puddle of water under our bags. They never offered me to switch rooms, no refund, nothing.

First, i would like to do apologize for all the inconvenience but is not totally our mistake, before you take a shower you should know how the hot water is working and The staff was explain you about it. Is impossible for our staff will make all your stuff wet, i was interrogated them and your room was clean well., no one put a water on your bag and make your thing's wet. How can we switch you to other room because we are fully boked and for the refund, we decide to refund but you leave without any permission and also you haven't pay the scooter yet. We try our best to fix everything and give you a perfect one but you always bed feeling with us.

Verified reviewThe property was great, it is a bit far from where all the restaurants are but if you rent a motorbike it’s 5 minutes away. The bathroom is great compared to all the places I have been too and the swimming pool are gives it an amazing view. The personell where great and always trying to help us.
There could be more places to hang things and outside something to put the clothes and keep them dry, that is all and being picky but everything was great!

Verified reviewThe staff was so very helpful. We haven‘t gotten our car rental on the first day so we asked the hotel staff to drop us off at a cafe in Koeta‘s central and they immediately helped and wouldn‘t take any payments. Any requests or questions were immediately taken into account and they were very attentive in general. The location‘s also pretty great and the promised pool view on the pictures here is just as beautiful in reality :)
Our room was never cleaned during our 2 nights stay nor were the towels changed.
