    Nothing

First off, due to all the trash in the town, there were 100's of flies everywhere. It was impossible to sit outside without being covered in seconds. Second, the room was damp and had a lot mold on walls. The bathroom toilet leaked and there was standing water in the floor. Third, I got severe food poison from the breakfast. Would have gone to a hospital but couldn't move. Fourth, the owner hired out the whole place but my room for a New Year Eve party. The party had a sound system that was cranked from 6-3am with horrible karaoke. The guest literally partied on my porch, smoking and drinking. They then started up again at 7am with the music... Owner didn't even come apoogize. DONT go to this place, its horrible. This is the first bad review Ive ever left on Booking or and Airbnb. I asked for a refund and was given no response. Booking shouldn't even list this place.

Hot spring, that actualy, two out of three nights We couldn't use and Breakfast.

We put rate 4 Just because the wife and brother that were helping to the guy that was running the place at the time, otherwise would be under 1. First of all, We booked 2 bungalows as the family and all the the rooms were empty when We came, But they put us on the other side of the land (I asume because one of the bungalow smelled of mold and the others were probaley worst. In the end guy tried to rip us for the ride to the next city, and was unwilling to help us even though his wife tried to help, so We called the taxi from Ubud and was still much cheaper. In some places in bali you have taxi mafia, But my opinion is that manager or wathever he was should be on your side...

We liked the view very much. The rooms are just basic. But clean and tidy.

We experienced a problem with the shower, it spurted water in all directions making it very hard to use.

Knowledgeable, helpful staff. Warm spring fed pool.

Songan has lots of flies due to the proximity to farmland.

Hot comfortable small pool, good views

The faucet in the bathroom sink only provides cold water, and there is no in-house restaurant available in the evening.

The place is a great starting point for trekking up mount Batur. The guide arranged by the very helpful and nice hosts picks you up at the location at 3:30, no car is needed, you just start walking from there. We only booked at 7pm directly at the accommodation and it was no problem! Also highly recommend the guide that was provided, we were given the option of a different way down where we didn’t have to tag along with the hundreds of other tourists! After the trek you can jump into the warm pool and have a simple but good breakfast. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. The accommodation is clean and the beds are comfortable, the rooms are very basic but functional. Bathrooms could use a little update but everything worked.

Accommodation: For us it was absolutely fine, just don’t expect a fancy getaway. If you don’t need fancy this place will absolutely do! Food: the accommodation only provides basic but good breakfast. It’s only a 7 minute walk, but for lunch and dinner there is not many options around. We found two places right next to each other, one was good the other one not. Flies: The area is swamped with millions of flies during the day. At night they are not active. Nothing the accommodation can do about the flies but good to know.

This is a really good place to stay for the Batur Trek. You can start the tour from the hotel. Incredibly friendly staff who helped organise the trek. Ideal for a short stay. Beautiful view of the lake and a lovely warmed pool. Would highly advise!

    Nothing to say here.

Nice location. We were able to go for a walk in a farming area. The hot spring pool had been freshly filled and was very nice to relax in the water. Staff were very good. My mum got food poisoning and the owner was very concerned and offered to take her to a doctor. Not needed but really appreciated the offer - thank you.

This needs to be taken in the context of the price. Also, the dreadful fly infestation is nothing to do with the property - it’s an issue across the whole area. Not their fault. But….if you don’t like flies everywhere don’t go to the area. Have to make the place down as our room (me, wife, 6 year old) stank. Like old dried pee. Owner did spray with air freshener whilst we went out - as we had mentioned the issue. It really smelled awful when we returned. It is clearly a known problem. In the end we soaked everywhere with eucalyptus oil to get to sleep. Every room needs just maybe 2jt spent on it to make it acceptable. Just buy some sink plugs for a start. Again I have to mark down in stars as we had requested an extra bed for daughter (mattress on floor is fine at this price) but found a loose electrical socket above where she would have rested her head - no excuse, it an obvious issue and would cost nothing to fix.

Friendly personal - very helpful and thoughtful. Nice warm pool. Good view.

Barely water coming out the faucet. Not a single door works without screeching. Very noisy at 4am in the morning when all the jeeps and motorcycles go up the mountain. Breakfast is the bare minimum.

The lake and mountains view from the room.

The shower holder was not working. We had to hold the shower head by hand. The toilet seat need to be replaced. It looked still dirty even it's been cleaned.

Stunning location, great view and at a walking distance from the thermal baths : Batur natural hotsprings and Toya Devasya. The owner-manager Mady is very kind and helpful. The the hotel pool (hotsprimg water) is great even in rainy weather. Go for it!

Too many cars and motorbikes on the roads and no sidewalks
