Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaEverything was just perfect! Room was very clean, the garden is extremely well maintained. Breakfast is tasty and fresh, brought on the terrace of your room at the time you want. Chok is very supportive, and cam easily set up a boat trip to wherever you want, at good prices.

United KingdomA little difficult to communicate with the staff as English not good at all. But my Balinese is non existent so I shouldn’t complain.
Lovely location just a few mins walk to the beach and to a great restaurant and coffee bar on the main road

AustraliaThe staff was not rude, but not very friendly. They smiled but I felt a distance from them. Room #4 didn't have hot water after the first day. Other rooms were ok.
The rooms were very clean and the ambience was well maintained. We like our animal friends, Coco and Kiki. Especially Simba wanted to play with us all the time. The location was perfect for those who like to swim at Pemuteran beach. There was a small table in the room. The table was extendable so we had enough space for our luggage. They have the best breakfast in Bali. I liked the ordering system, too.

This place is perfect, I would have scored more than 10 if possible our deluxe room was absolutely spotlessly clean very spacious, a large terrace and an awesome bathroom. The staff are excellent, very helpful and friendly, the breakfast served on our terrace every morning was excellent, good choice for breakfast. The location is perfect in a nice quiet area but close to the beach and local bars and restaurants and the gardens the rooms are set in are beautiful and kept very clean and tidy. After 5 weeks of travelling through indonesia, this is the best place we have stayed at, only booked for 3 nights ended up staying for 5 nights.

GermanyWalls are thin like probably everywhere in Bali and it is absolutely not the hotels fault that I had neighbours who liked to play the radio at 3am and I heard everything. So take ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise. Most guests appeared to be here for a quiet time, diving, beach, so it's not a party hotel, which I appreciated.
Very nice hotel in a small tourist village in Northern Bali, less than 5 minutes walk to the beach. I moved here from Alaya Eco Lodge and was grateful to find somewhere affordable in the centre of the village at short notice, where I could get laundry, a car and driver and have a comfortable stay while diving with a local dive centre. The guest house is a row of small bungalows in a pretty garden, with mango trees, a friendly cat, a terrace for each bungalow and a laid back friendly atmosphere. The owner greeted me and offered advice and assistance, and there was always staff around in case of any questions. The room was relatively large, with an outdoor shower, very large comfy double bed with mosquito net and good air conditioner. What I really liked was the nice introductory notes in the folder with recommendations and assistance and although yes, there is A/C, they do their bit being more green by not changing linens daily, no plastic, and a build quality that does not always necessitate aircon. Breakfast is served every morning on your terrace, and there is plenty of choice to pre-order, but pre-ordering also means nothing should get wasted. The guest house is right in the centre of Pemuteran but well away from the main road, so no traffic noise. It is a simple guesthouse, but I felt I never lacked anything -I had a table, chair, place to hang my clothes, a little lockable cupboard, mosquito net, mosquito coil drinking water in the room. Loved it ad would return any time

AustraliaYou know a stay was great when you don't want to leave, and that's exactly how we felt on our last morning here. Chocolate is a fabulous host, really friendly, super helpful, funny, and entertaining - just get him singing and playing some music with his mates :-) He was also great in helping us organise onwards transport. The simple room we had was compact, clean, and comfortable, with an attached bathroom with open roof. Bed was comfy, a/c worked really well, and wifi was consistently good. All the staff were lovely, and eager to help if you need anything. Breakfast was generous and tasty, and the banana pancakes were the best we had in 2 months in Bali. Property is well located, a few mins walk from the beach, and close to the main street with lots eating options (our go-to for consistently fab food was Warung Setia, but the pizza at La Casa Kita was also yum). For the price, we don't think you can go far wrong with Mango Tree Inn.

AustraliaWhat a truly wonderful place: it was so hard to leave! My deluxe room was scrupulously clean, with excellent aircon, and I especially appreciated the charming and artistic features, and the beautifully-designed outdoor bathroom. A lovely breakfast is served on your verandah each morning, observed from under the trees by a quiet and well-behaved resident cat, dog and rabbit. The lane to the Inn is bordered by well-kept grass, pawpaws, hibiscus, and other tropical plants. A short walk through the neighbour's place takes you to a lovely path through coconuts and bananas and guavas, past a mother hen and chickens, down a lane to a beach kept clean by the Plastic Free Bali crew, and where there are restaurants with tables on the sand under the trees, and excellent snorkelling just off the beach. I can't wait to stay again!

Czech RepublicA very clever young owner Chocolate can be proud of his Mango tree inn project. We appreciated the ubiquitous natural materials with which the houses are carefully built and equipped. But the best thing is Mr. Chocolate´s willingness to arrange everything. We took advantage of the tours offered by Mango tree Inn and enjoyed the combination of a normal village with holiday homes. We really liked that.
