Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandThe neighbouring property is a shocking mess which is the first thing you notice as you drive down the alley to the Mango5 hotel. There’s also no sign to indicate the hotel’s name on the main road. However this doesn’t matter once inside the hotel courtyard it’s gorgeous and you don’t see the messy property next door. Breakfast was included but the serving size was only enough for a young child. The property needs to invest in some new crockery, cutlery, glasses and a new kettle. There’s no kettle in the rooms, but you can boil water using their kettle, which is pretty old and grubby looking.
Great location, almost opposite an alley way leading straight to the beach. Really tastefully designed buildings and interior furnishing. Lovely spacious interior, very comfy bed, lovely decor and nice that the whole complex is only 5 rooms. Gorgeous swimming pool!

New ZealandMost of kitchen pans, hot-water kettle & utensils need replacing. Shared alley-like entrance cluttered with many bags of stinky trash; but is clean by Mango door entrance. Smelly rubbish piled up all over Village.
Excellent pool; clean. Walled in compound-like, with 4 rooms, so privacy good. Small kitchen & table by pool. Would definitely stay again.

The lady was very welcoming and friendly. The accommodation was good with air-conditioning and hot shower and a fridge. The bed was comfortable, plus a wardroom / cupboard to store your stuff. Small pool and chairs and table outside accommodation. Close to shops and restaurants would definitely stay there again

Czech RepublicVery limited “choice” of breakfast, we could only have a pancake, but it was good. The roofs are leaking little bit if it rains and the equipment is little older, but it was fine in general.
This hotel is in a really good location close to the main street with cafes and restaurants. It was good for the price, the pool was small but very nice.

United KingdomMy bathroom had puddles of water that didn’t drain away so floor was always wet but, on the positive, the shower was hot and had good pressure.
This is a lovely quiet place in a great central location. The family who run it are lovely. The bed is huge and comfy and the rooms have decent TVs and fridges, plus you can use the communal kitchen which is well equipped.

AustraliaNo hanging space for clothes but there are a few hooks on wall. Was okay to make do.
Great quiet location, exception of roosters, it’s Bali!! close to beaches for snorkelling etc… Loved the decor and only having 5 rooms was a nice cosy vibe… The simple breakfasts, delicious banana pancakes and Bali coffee and service was very good. Recommend Leo if you need any transport, reliable driver and very reasonable prices. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

New ZealandHow quickly the ants took over your food when you put something on the bench. Hadn't happened anywhere else we stayed.
Very convenient to everything. The staff were very helpful in any of our requests. Only 5 villas so it wasn't crowded or noisy. It does have a 1 star rating so you are not going to get extensive toiletries or hairdryers etc but they do service your room everyday, water is provided, you can make a cup of tea/coffee. A nice breakfast is served every morning for you either beside the pool or outside of your room. I would recommend this motel to anyone.

AustraliaThe bed was a bit hard, and some of the facilities are a bit rough/run down. Very small things, nothing major.
The location is fantastic. Close to cafes and the beach but just back off the main road. Quiet apart from some birds which we liked. The staff were very friendly and helpful.they organised a laundry service and taxi for us. The smart tv worked well. The pool was lovely and clean. Nice and small with not too many guests. Felt safe, secure, and private. Breakfast was lovely. Close to large supermarkets, tour guides, restaurants/ cafes, and smaller stalls. I don't think it's as bad as other reviews have said. The price reflects the state of the place. We would stay again.

New ZealandWe stayed in the apartment and the kitchen hadn't been cleaned properly, ants in the cupboards and along the walls. Not many cooking items.
Location was great for us, handy renting the scooter from the accommodation, apartment room was really comfortable, and we enjoyed having the couch and the bed to enjoy relaxing on. Pool was also nice to lounge in. Leo picked us up from the airport which was super helpful, and Michelda was helpful as well.

AlbaniaThe internet connection didn’t work at all in my room which was a bit bothersome. Also the swimming pool was not so clean. The bathroom door in my room didn’t close, which was okay for me as I traveled alone but maybe if you travel with someone, not so comfortable
The place is 3 minutes from the beach, also near a supermarket, restaurants and ATM. It is in a quiet area, with a small kitchen if you want to use and a swimming pool. The staff is very friendly and responsive to your needs

IndonesiaLittle but nice and comfy hotel. The apartment was nice, modern furnitures: big desk with proper desk chair, sofa, TV, bedside tables, comfy bed and a small equipped kitchen with fridge and water gallon. Responsive and friendly people working there. Medium size swimming pool with some beanbags to chill on (no au beds like on the picture). L oh cation is great, behind Rimba cafe (highly recommended!) and walking distance to the main beach and all restaurants, cafe, shops, diving centres etc. It’s quiet. The roasters didn’t bother us as they seems to be quite far away. The jungle is just a the door 😊
