Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandA small thing to be mindful of is that the window blinds have little gaps and thus don't provide full coverage, which means you can feel slightly exposed particularly with the light on in the evenings.
Great value for money! The room was set in a beautiful Balinese courtyard at a lovely homestay setting and was the perfect space for us on our return to Ubud. Our host was very friendly and responsive and made us feel so welcome. She was so great in arranging for us to arrive outside of the usual check-in hours and we were very grateful to her. Set just outside of Ubud town center (5-7min by car outside of peak traffic hours), the location was ideal for a relaxed 3-day stay. Right next door is an amazing cafe/restaurant 'Akamana', which was so convenient especially during rainy season.

New ZealandUnfortunately the road is quite busy and you can hear the traffic noise.
It is a small family run villa and has mostly long term guests. I had a gorgeous large room with a balcony on the second floor overlooking the courtyard and a huge window overlooking trees. Very private. The bed and pillows were really comfy and the bathroom was large and had great water pressure. There’s a well equipped kitchen and clean fridge. Heni and Linda were wonderful hosts and it was nice to talk with them about life in the village. There’s a laundry where you can do you your own washing. It’s a much less hectic area than Ubud central but still only a 10 min scooter ride into town There’s quite a few options for meals within walking distance and being a vegan, I found at least four places that had great food. The little local Warung/juice bar had really good curries and jamu.

Australiaits a great location as I don't like the craziness of being right in the heart of Ubud. Comfy bed, friendly staff and only two doors down there is a great little cafe/warung owned by Nyoman, simple and yummy food with no msg. Its only a 10 min bike ride and you are in the heart of ubud. You don't really need to go into ubud if you don't want to as there are plenty of restaurants, places with pools for a swim etc.. .The owner found me a bike hire only 2 doors down, great deal and nice guys, the battery went flat (my fault) and they came to me to sort out the bike and were super nice about it.

ThailandThe room wall wasn’t soundproof. I kept waking up at night quite often because of the sound of vehicles passing on the road.
The vibes were serene. And because there were not too many rooms, I felt quite private. The place is hidden among locals’ residences, but still isn’t too far from the Ubud city area, around 10-15 minutes by motorbike. The room was clean in general. Throughout 6 nights, the host cleaned the room as well as changed the bed sheet and the towel for me one time, which was pretty nice for the price I paid. Also, the host was very friendly and helpful. I felt warmly welcomed and well taken care of while staying there. Note that better to prepare to pay in cash due to the host’s preference.

AustraliaA lot of mosquitoes and no repellent. Owner is Australian but never said hello, smiled or even acknowledged us, found this rude given we to are from Australia. Didn't even know who this random woman who kept entering property was. Room was only cleaned/fresh towels about every 4th day. Shower head leaked badly. Sheet didn't fit the bed so kept slipping off. Even though it isn't in the heart of Ubud it was an exceptionally noisy street. It wasn't well cleaned, but was cheap-ish for what it was. Back to the mosquitos, given the issues with Dengue fever in Bali, this really does need to be addressed.
Henni the care taker was extremely friendly. I liked the name, however not sure where the wellness part came into it.
