How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewGreat location and the pool is a nice place to relax after an exhausting day. The staff was very welcoming and caring and the room was pretty clean, but the bathroom was very humid.
Since it’s in the nature, be prepare to have some mosquitoes in the room

Verified reviewOut of busy Ubud and we liked the setting although I would have liked the unit looking out to the field. Our deluxe room looked to a small but lovely garden but you were looking into the breakfast area of other guests having breakfast. The grounds were immaculately kept. Breakfast was nice but simple. Good Warangs and restaurants required the use of transport, we used grab which was cheap and easy. The guesthouse had scooters for hire. Traffic getting in and out of Ubud was often really busy and slow as you would expect. We were ok with that but others may find it an issue.
If we had wished to relax for the day it would have been annoying hearing the chainsaws working. We were out so not an issue for us but maybe for others. Would have been nice to have pool towels as our initial towels for the unit were small and very thin. Staff happy to give us towels when requested.
Hi Sue Thank you for staying with us,and holiday in Ubud Bali,We apologize for the inconvenience. The sound of the saw is next to the river because a lot of wood has fallen and needs to be cut. We will provide pool towels in the future. Thank you for your input. Best regard mancur 🙏

Verified reviewStunning view, clean room and beautiful pool. Breakfast was basic but very tasty. Perfect for a few quiet days, we really enjoyed to be in nature but having the Goa temple and ubud close by. I can highly recommend to book a massage, one of the best ones I’ve had so far.

Verified reviewOur room with patio was beautiful, private due to the plants and pond around it but also near the pool. The pool was nice to lay by and had a great view. It’s in a nice and quiet spot, which does mean a scooter is needed to go places. Breakfast was simple but nice, and staff very friendly.
A bit of a long bumpy walk with luggage from the main road. But this wasn’t a big deal for us.

Verified reviewThe Mancur was perfect for the location we were looking for. It is not a 9.2 property, though. The location is pretty, very pretty. But only in certain directions. Everything was satisfactory, I just wouldn't call it great. I am not sure why others do so here in the comments. Located in the ricefirelds it is very serene, especially given there is a main road only a coupe of hundred metres away.
The bathroom…Everything about it was dated. The water was a fine line between cold and scalding. There was a coffee vanilla air freshener in there that was so strong we had to keep the door closed. The door into the bathroom has a glass infill that rattles when someone uses it at night. The mattress was lumpy and the AC was loud. Even with the fan on low, there was no sleep or night setting. It was mounted above the door to the balcony so watchout for the drip. The access Gang (Lane) is an easy one to miss. As I said, good, just not great.
Hi Anthony Thank you for staying with us, we apologize for the inconvenience, we will improve the facilities gradually, and thank you for your input, Best regard mancur 🙏

Verified reviewThe place where we felt most welcomed, very tranquil and beautiful. The staff are very friendly and taking care of us like family. The owner even cooked for us during Nyepi Day (silent day), and Pak Putu, the owner, drove us to the airport. We are very grateful for their hospitality. Highly recommended 👌

Verified reviewExcellent place for those who want to stay in Ubud and travel around. The guesthouse is located near the Ubud so you won’t spend your time in traffic. Also it is very calm and peaceful place surrounded by the rice fields. The guesthouse has a very beautiful green territory, pool with sunset and jungle view. Family who runs this guesthouse keep it very clean. Our room was cleaned every day. The breakfast had about 6 options. Pretty simple, but enough for the day start.
We loved everything, no disadvantages :)
